Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond on Sunday January 24th, 2010 at the age of 96. Loving wife of the late Borden Parsons, and dear aunt of David Johnston (Joanne). Dear sister of the late Hazel (Ernie Newell) and the late Christena (Eric Johnston) and sister-in-law of Trevor Parsons. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, (819) 826-2502, where friends may visit on Thursday January 28th 2010 from 1 to 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 with Rev. John Barry Forsyth officiating. Interment in St-Andrews Cemetery in the spring.
Stewart Kendall, Catherine
Passed away at the Magog Hospital on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Honey was the beloved wife of Clarence Kendall. Mother of Janna and Doug (Suzan) and grandmother of Jamie and Andrew. She was predeceased by her brother Jim and leaves to mourn two sisiters Jean Stefano of Lennoxville and Patsy Brown of Fredericton NB. Honey was a graduate of Dalhousie High School in New Brunswick and received her music degree at Mt. Allison University in Sackville NB. Honey moved to Quebec in 1949 and taught music, home economics and commercial sewing in several high schools in the Eastern Townships including Alexander Galt Regional High School until 1984. Honey is resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) (819)564-1750 where friends may call on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service conducted by Rev. James Potter will be held at the Lennoxville United Church on Thursday, January 21at 2 pm. Interment at the Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Honey Kendall to Alexander Galt Regional High School, Box 5002, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z9. Receipts are given for donations of $25.00 or more. Donations will be used to purchase ski equipement or to help the drama and music department. Donations would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Nickerson Hodge, Joyce
Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont, on Sunday June 14th 2009 in her 81st year. Loving wife of Osbert Hodge, and dear mother of Bruce (Karen Pitman) and Sandra (Andy Harrison) and of the late Richard and the late Johnny Hodge. Loving grandmother of Travis and Megan Harrison, and Kirstin, Johnny and Matthew Hodge. Joyce also leaves to mourn, her brother George (Freda), her sister-in-law Trudy Pullen along with her nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Clifford Curtis passed away peacefully at the Memphremagog Hospital in Magog, on Tuesday March 3rd, 2009, at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna Poole, cherished grandfather of Kathleen Cass, father of Jean Curtis (James Noyes), and brother of Raymond Curtis (Madilyn). Also left to mourn are many dear friends and relatives. A graveside service will be held in the sping at the Hatley United Cemetery. Cowan, Nancy (nee Janes)
February 21, 2009, died peacefully in her 101st year in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Predeceased by her caring husband George; loving mother of George (Linda) and Janet (Joseph Weber); cherished grandmother of Danny (Kim) and Julia; step-grandmother of Heidi (Glenn); survived by three step-great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. The family thanks the Grace Christian Home for their years of loving care. A celebration of her life will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in North Hatley (201 Main St) at 2:00 pm on March 7, 2009. At her request, her ashes will be buried in the family plot in her beloved Newfoundland. The family suggests donations in her memory be made to the charity of your choice.

Illoma, vibrant mother and friend, who gave unconditional love and friendship to all, died January 9th, 2009. Wife to David, mother to Michael, Ian and Diana. We will remember her with love and admiration for her compassion and for the undivided attention she gave to all.

Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, QC on Thursday January 8th, 2009, Mrs Marie Jeanne Laroche at the age of 70. Wife of the late Fernand Laroche, and dear mother of Danny (Nicole) and Joanne. Loving grandmother of Vanessa, Leeza and Jeremy Laroche. Sister of Eddy (Chantal), Raymond (Carmen), Robert (Huguette), Nicole, the late Claude (Isabelle) and the late Denis. Marie Jeanne also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral Mass will be held at St-Philippe Catholic Church, Windsor, on Tuesday January 13th at 2:00 pm. Cotton, Marguerite
Miss Marguerite Russell Edwina Cotton passed away peacefully at the Connaught Homes in North Hatley in the afternoon of 31 Dec 2008. She was born 17 Feb 1918, the youngest daughter of Wilhelmina H. Reutlinger Jewell (Mini) and Edwin Cotton. She lived at the Cotton family home on Elm St. in Sherbrooke, most of her life. Having sold the family home in 2002 due to her health, she moved to the London Residence on London St. Last May she moved to the Connaught Homes where she was cared for until her death. She is predeceased by her brother Charles E.T. Cotton (Lillian) of Hawkesbury ON, Harold Meredith Cotton (Margaret Paterson and Hilda McFayden) of Fort Francis ON and by 5 sisters; Violet Victoria Munday (Alfred), Rose Caroline Knight (Percy) of Brocton NY, Lily Elizabeth Millier (Albert) of Auburn ME, Pansy Estella Georgina Cotton, and Nellie May Spencer (Roland) of Georgetown ON. She is survived and mourned by many nephews and nieces across Canada and the USA. Marguerite was a member of St Peter Anglican Church in Sherbrooke and proudly associated with the I.O.D.E. and Beta Sigma Phi for may decades. The family would like to thank the staff of the London Residence for providing quality of life in her last years. As her health deteriorated, the Connaught Homes gave her needed love and full care attention in her last days. A memorial service and internment at the Sherbrooke St Peters cemetery will be announced at a later date.

Robert leave to mourn his loving childrens Christine (Dany Bendo) and Erik (Émilie Lagueux). His adorable grandson Louis-Félix Bendo. His brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Raymond, Denis, Denise (Serge), Gilles(Sylvie), Hélène (Gervais), Angèle (Yvan), Pauline (Roger), Bernadette, Patrice (Diane), Thérèse, Louisette (Gaston), uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Resting at the basement of the catholic Church in Sawyerville onTuesday December 30, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 10 pm, on Wednesday December 31, 2008 from 9 to 10:45 am followed by the Funeral service at 11am at the catholic Church of Sawyerville. Loving father of Judy Ann (Simon Preston), Wayne (Trisha), Howard (Bonnie) and cherished grandfather of Kier, Maya, Asher Preston, Trista and Preston Cormier. Cederic is survived by his brothers Jerry, Clifford, Dennis, Dwight, Donald, Brian and Murray and his sisters Darlene, Brenda, Caroline and was predeceased by Pauline, Osailene and Alfred. Cederic also leaves to mourn the mother of his children Ruth Picken Cormier. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
