Grant Frederick Taylor
(1921-2017)

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the CHUS Fleurimont, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 95. Loving husband of Mayotta Winslow of 70 years. Dear father of the late Gary Taylor. Grant was a very special uncle and will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews great and great great nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church St. Lennoxville. Interment in the Eaton Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church St. Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1S9 or to the Eaton Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 934, Cookshire-Eaton, QC J0B 1M0, would be appreciated by the family.

Wilkin Raymond, Gertrude

(1920 – 2015) Gertrude (Gertie) Florence Raymond passed away peacefully at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Wellington (Wink) Raymond. Dear mother of Gloria (Gerald Gilbert), Bill (Lynda McVety), Bev (late Tom Powell) and Sharron (Bruce Kirby). Cherished grandmother of Geoffrey, Joanne, Mark, Chrystal, Kevin, Teresa, Scott, Bradley, Karyn, and Karolyn. And admired great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. Service to follow at 2 p.m. at the Cass Chapel. Interment at the Eaton Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Eaton Cemetery, c/o Nadia Boutin, 255 Wheeler Rd. Cookshire, QC J0B 1M0 or to a charity of your choice. An Order of the Eastern Star Funeral Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday September 22, 2015.

Wesbroom, Robert

Following a long battle, passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Edith Young, he is survived by his son Steven (Julie Ruel), his grandsons, Olivier, Michaël and William, his twin brother Sherman (Irene), his sisters Barbara Zschockelt (late Lothar) and Carol Krainyk (Myron), his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law (Young family) as well as many other family and friends. A service will be held on Tuesday, September 15 at the Hope Community Church, 102 Queen Street, Sherbrooke, Quebec, J1M 1J6 at 2 pm. The family will receive condolences at the church an hour prior to the service.

St-Onge Watson, Yvette

Passed away at La Maison Aube-Lumière, Sherbrooke, on Friday September 3rd, 2010 at the age of 71. Wife of the late Cecil Watson, and daughter of the late Alcide St-Onge and the late Auria Ferland. Dear mother of Robert (Lucie Pilotte), Lorraine (André Jalbert), the late Caroline, Guy (Nathalie Asselin), Anne (Jean- Marie Guillette), Marc-André (Chantal Richard) and Lyne. Yvette also leaves to mourn, her grandchildren; Nicolas, Kevin, Samantha, Roxanne, Karl, Kathy, Elodie, Sophie, Ève, Jéréme and Jacob; her great-grandchildren, Noémi and Gabriel; her brothers and sisters, Léo St-Onge (Annette), Henri St-Onge (Claire Cormier), Gisèle St-Onge (the late Nelson Watson), and Jocelyne St-Onge (Marc-André Langlois). She also leaves her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Grant Watson (Alison), Ceona Watson (the late Benoit Roy), and the late Wayne Watson, along with her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, consins and many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Thursday September 9th from 7 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St-Bibiane Catholic Church on Friday September 10th at 2:00 PM (please note: the family will be at the church to receive condolences 1 hour prior to the service) Interment in St-Philippe cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations to La Maison Aube-Lumière would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Sherman, Jean

Passed away in peace, following a lingering illness. She was with us from November 29, 1927 to August 16, 2010. She will be missed by her sister June and her husband Frank Moller, and their family, her sister Shirley and her husband Bruce Croft and their family, and the family of her deceased brother Michael Sherman. A graveside service will be held in the Gould Cemetery on Friday August 20, 2010 at 3 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to Cass Funeral Home, 819-564-1750

Stevens, Sydney

Passed away peacefully following a brief illness, on Sunday June 6th, 2010 in his 91st year. Loving husband of 68 years to Patricia, and dear father of Sandra (Jim Meyers) and Greg (Lucie Philippon). Dear grandfather of Shelley, and Christopher (Rebecca) Stevens, and Michael and Matthew Meyers. Sydney also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held in the Trenholm United Church on Monday June 14th at 2:00PM with the Rev. Reginald Jennings officiating. Interment in the Trenholm Cemetery. Donations to the MS Society or to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Smith, Daniel

Smith, Daniel Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the age of 51 years. Beloved spouse of Sylvie Hamel and dear son of Hubert Smith and Janine Poulin. Daniel leaves to mourn his son Steve Smith (Courtney Williams), and his granddaughter Kayla Smith, his brothers Alain (Cindy) and Pierre (Line) and his sister Tina (Alain) along with his nephew and nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) (819)564-1750 on Friday March 12, 2010 from 9 to 11am followed by the funeral service at 11am in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff on the 7th floor at the CHUS Hospital, Fleurimont for the wonderful care given to Daniel. Donations in Daniel's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Soceity.

at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) 819-564-1750 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A masonic service will be held at 7:30 pm and prayers officiated by Rev Ruth Charleau will be held at 8:30 pm. Burial of the ashes will take place on Saturday,
June 12th in the Theford Mines Anglican Cemetary on Johnson St.at 11:30 am, followed by a luncheon in the Anglican Church Hall on Alfred St. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Quebec, 2630 King West, Sherbrooke, QC J1J 2H1. or to any charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.

Swanson Fidler, Doris

Fidler, Doris (nee Swanson) Surrounded with love at the CHUS-Fleurimont Hospital on Friday, February 12, 2010. Doris passed away peacefully. Loving wife of Skip Fidler and loving mother to Karen, Kathy (Wayne) and Krista. Dear Mor Mor to Colin (Dana), Erika, Eric and Kajsa and great Mor Mor to Noah and Owen. Doris leaves to mourn her sister Mary Esther Fountain (Charlie) and her nephews Brian and Donald and her niece Esther Ann. A funeral service will be held in the Waterville-North Hatley United Church, Waterville, QC on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11 am. Rev Meade Baldwin and Rev Sandra McLaughlin Abuja officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Waterville at a later date. Smith, Stewart

Passed away after a lengthy battle at the CHUS Fleurimont on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the age of seventy-five years. Cherished husband of Dorothy Fountain and precious father of: Rodney (Donna), Ronald, Judy (Jim), Marc, and Kevin; Stewart will also be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, along with his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead, QC.819-876-5213 on Friday, February 12, 2010, where friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. The service will be held in the Centenary United Church on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in Griffin Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their most sincere appreciation to the staff of the 3rd- 8th- and 10th floors at the CHUS for the wonderful care given to Stewart and also the Dialysis unit of the Magog Hospital. As a tribute to his memory, donations made to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
