December 3, 1911 - September 14, 2007
Died peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital at the age of 95. Son of the late Walter and Edith Hinds. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Christine, brother Harold and sister Margaret. He is survived by his daughter Joan, former son-in-law John and much adored grandchildren Paul, Penelope and David.
Following wartime service with the Winnipeg grenadiers. Wally worked for air Canada until his retirement. Residing first in St-James, Manitoba, later transferred to Montreal the family took up residence in Roxboro, QC. The family acknowledges with gratitude the friendship and help from friends and neighbours which allowed Wally to continue to reside at home until a few days before his death. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. The ashes will be taken to Winnipeg by family members in the spring of 2008. Wally will be interred in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens to lie beside his wife Christine. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montreal Association for the blind will be greatly appreciated.
Mr. Sofronio Ronnie Mendoza
December 8, 1957 - September 26, 2007
Passed away suddenly at the age of 49 on Wednesday, September 26th, 2007. Beloved husband of Valentina (Tina) for 30 years. Devoted and loving father of Harvey, Haidee and Homer. Proud father-in-law of Joyce and Alex. Adored and adoring "Lolo" of little Adrian (Ady). Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by all his families, friends and co-workers, both in Montreal and in the Philippines. Special thank you goes to the doctors and nurses at the emergency unit and ICU of Sacré-Coeur Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2007 in the Rideau Chapel.
We love you and we will miss you deeply.
Mme. Jeannine Fowler Perron
July 20, 1940 - October 20, 2007
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Jeannine, Saturday, October 20, after a quick but courageous battle with cancer. We take solace in knowing that she joins our father, Paul, along with so many other loved ones, who will be greeting her with open arms in Heaven. She leaves behind Sylvie (Paul), Chantale (Sergio) along with her two deeply adored grandsons, Paul-Anthony and Michael, and countless family members, friends and colleagues. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have known her, can take solace in the fact that she left this world a better place; making a difference in the lives of those she touched. She will be greatly missed. Please join us in a celebration of her life at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Visitation will be held October 26, 2007 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Church mass will be held at St-Joachim Parish in Pointe-Claire, Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 1 p.m. and burial to follow at Rideau Memorial Gardens. Mr. Gerald "Gerry" Lachance
March 13, 1951 - October 27, 2007
On October 26, 2007 after a long and courageous battle, Gerry passed away surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife Susan Lachance (Carroll). Proud father of Graeme (Kim), Lindsay (Leonel) and Scott. Cherished son-in-law of Norman and Kathleen Carroll. Much loved brother-in-law of Wendy and Kevin. Dear brother of Charles (Lynda), Judy, and Roberta (Lane). Uncle to Kaitlin and Jaquelyne MacKenzie and Andrea Lachance. He will also be greatly missed by many other relatives and dear friends.
Special thanks to CLSC Pierrefonds, NOVA and all those who cared for him during his 9 year struggle.
Family invites you to a gathering in Gerry's honor on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 11 to 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Donations in his memory can be made to the Lymphoma Foundation of Canada.
Mrs. Jeanie Chalmers White
May 2, 1928 - October 30, 2007
After a long battle with Alzheimer's, Our Lord has taken his greatest angel Jeanie Chalmers (White). She will be forever missed and remains in the hearts of her beloved husband and best friend Wilfred, her devoted children Danny, Barbara (George), Ron (Suzanne), Ian (Joanne), Kenny (Sharon), Shirley, Ritchie (Michelle) and Helen (Rick) and by her numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Special thanks to all the all staff of the Centre d'accueil Vaudreuil for their loving care and compassion.
