Cherished Bubbie of Beverly Mitelman and Joseph Lyman, and Stephanie Mitelman. Proud great-grandmother of Ethan, Jakob and Shane. Dear sister-in-law of the late Lillian and the late Harry Handler, the late Anne Levine and the late Leslie Levine. Yetta will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cherished Zaidie of Sabrina, Simone and Stephen, Elishe, Bethany and Paul, and Trevor. Proud great-grandfather of Sammy. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Hertzi and Jenny, Goldie and the late Avrum; and brother-in-law of the late Muntzi and the late Shoni. Survived by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by many members of his family who perished in the Holocaust. On Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the age of ninety-two. Beloved and cherished husband of Florence Goffman for fifty-four years. Loving and devoted father of Dr. Andrea Joy Cohen. Predeceased by his parents, Esther and I.B. Cohen. Dear brother of the late Joseph Cohen, the late Sarah Petrushka and the late Becky Horowitz. Brother-in-law of Yitschak Petrushka, Benno Horowitz, Ruth and the late Harvey Nadler, the late Carl and the late Pearl Goffman, and the late Shirley Cohen. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews and close friends. Special thanks to Tima and Greg Bordan for their care and devotion. Abe was actively committed to his community through B’nai Brith, Chevra Mishnayos and Young Israel of Chomedey, always with a contagious good spirit. His good nature shone brightly to the end, with his beloved family and with the hospital staff. Special and cherished brother and brother-in-law of Sydney and Tronny Sweibel. Best uncle and friend to Mitchell, Carina and Morgan Sweibel. Loving nephew of Rose and the late Sam Freger, Jack and Elaine Freger, Toby and the late Alex Litwin of New York, and cousin to Stewart and Charlene Freger, Paul and Pam Freger, Elliot and Barbara Freger, Sam and Lorrain Litwin, and Dr. Laurie Litwin. Simon was loved and adored by all those whose lives he touched. He was caring, considerate and always helpful. He will be sadly missed by his family, his colleagues at Sweibel Novek, his neighbours and many friends. Simon was unique. He had a kind and generous heart, always giving of himself.
