Loving mother and mother-in-law of Chuck and Gordana (Jovanovich), Harris and Arlene, Riva and Mark Yudin. Cherished grandmother of Lauren Kaplan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Jeanette and the late William Abrams; and sister-in-law of David and Ruth Kaplan, the late Clara and the late Harry Freedman. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and many dear friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday July 7 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 Chemin de la Forêt. Marilyn Karpman Albright

KARPMAN ALBRIGHT, Marilyn (née Sacks). May 21, 1932 – July 7, 2013. We are sad to announce the passing of Marilyn Karpman Albright who, in her own words, was “totally P.O.’d to leave this world” but thankfully is now at peace! Wife of the late Gaston Albright. Loving partner of Louis (Lou) Gold. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Arley and Catherine Karpman, and Karen Karpman. Adored Grandmother of Stephanie, and Lauren Karpman, Elizabeth, and Nathalie Sidorenko; Jared, and Erin Simms. Cherished sister of Barbara Laurie-Rosenthal, the late Renée Caplan and sister-in-law of Gerry Lisser and the late Suzanne Popliger. She will be greatly missed by Doneve Tobin Karpman and by her devoted nieces and nephews. Marilyn always said that the best present Gaston ever gave her was his family namely Joan and Arnold Morris; Marlene Goldberg and Bobby Chazanoff and the late Allan Goldberg; Bruce and Joanne Costom, and the late Donna Costom. Marilyn will be fondly remembered by Gaston’s grandchildren Rhona and Steven Williams, Howard and Jennifer Freedman, Jeffrey and Barbra Freedman; Mindy and Lorne Wilansky, Jay and Suzy Goldberg; Suzanne and Paul Cutler, Mitchell and Cindy Costom. The family would like to thank Dr. David Shahin, Dr. Jason Agulnik, Dr. Michael Dworkind and the staff of 7 West at the Jewish General Hospital and Dr. Golda Tradounsky, Dr. Adeline Khadoury and the nurses & caregivers at the Mount Sinai Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care. Marilyn will be remembered for her generous heart, her terrific musical comedies, as a successful business owner (Encore Travel), in her latter years as a great bridge teacher and as a friend to many.
