WADSWORTH — Gertrude Marie, late of Pioneer Village, Regina, SK., passed away on Friday, August 8, 2003 at the age of 77 years. Gertrude is predeceased by her parents George and Johanna; her husband Roy; sisters Rose Julia, Sophie and Betty and brother Bill. Gertrude is survived by her son Randy Wadsworth, (Betty Petrescu); daughters Sharon WadsworthSmith (Dean Smith) of Orangeville, ON and Joanne Wadsworth; grandsons Amaan and Khalil Merali; sister Molly and brother Jack. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, Regina, SK. A special thank-you to the staff of Main West, Regina Pioneer Village. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving friend Tom McNeil; her six children: Joanne, Louise (Lorrie Waronek), Rob, Rick, Rosanne Farrell, Chris (Tammy); nine grandchildren: Brian, Brooke, Jacklyn, Billy, Stephanie, Lisa, Kim, Hunter, and Ally; as well as many devoted friends. DILLMAN - On Monday, December 8th, 2003, John Dillman, late of Estevan, SK, passed away at Estevan, Saskatchewan at the age of 82 years. DOIG - Daisy Priscilla Doig of Moose Jaw passed away on December 7, 2003 at the age of 81 years after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 11, 1921 to Daisy and Phil Smith of Parkbeg where she grew up and received her education in Remount and Parkbeg districts. In 1943 she married Archie Doig and they enjoyed 58 years together. They resided in Regina until 1945 at which time they moved to the Doig family farm in the Holyrood district. In 1958 they moved to Mortlach but still farmed until 2002. During these years Daisy was a member of the Gloom Chasers, Mortlach United Church, Mortlach Seniors and Tops Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie in 2000, her parents, Daisy and Phil Smith, mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Jim Doig; brothers and sisters-in-law: Veron Bickford, David and Dorothy Doig and May Lawson. Daisy is survived by five children: Phyllis (Alvin) Wolf, Bonnie (Russel) Ward, Dan Doig, Beverly (Eugene) Cossette, Susan (Dale) Newsham; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sistersin-law: Gordon and Marg Smith, Grace Bickford and Jim Lawson. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in the W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will take place at Mortlach Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening 7-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. FIDLAR - Patricia Elizabeth, of Regina passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at the age of 77 years. She is predeceased by her father, David Gilbert and her mother, Kathleen Lyn. Beloved sister of Mary Fidlar of Regina; Wendy Cassamassima of New York and David Fidlar of Calgary; sister-inlaw of Frank Cassamassima and Lillian Fidlar, she will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She graduated from Central Collegiate as a youth. She enjoyed piano, dance, gymnastics, swimming and sports in general. In later years she enjoyed reading, music and the company of her friends. FORTIER - Hubert of Willow Bunch, Sask., passed away December 8, 2003 at the age of 65 years. Predeceased by his parents, Romain and Annette Fortier and twin brother Albert, Hubert is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Judy; two daughters Terena (Brad) Hrycenko and family Torie, Brandon, Madison of Calgary, Alta., and Marcia Fortier of Moose Jaw; one brother Andre (Doris) Fortier of Millet, Alta., one sister Cecile (Dale) Blatchford of Assiniboia, his mother-in-law Edith Wood of Assiniboia and sister-in-law Shirley Delorme of Assiniboia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. DESORMEAUX - Lionel Desormeaux died peacefully Saturday Feb 14th at the Regina General Hospital. Lionel was predeceased by siblings Eugene, Henry, Alcide, Anna and Rene. He is survived by his sister Marie, his beloved son Dale and three grandchildren Carmen (Martin) Brook (Amanda) and Jenna. Also survived by Dale's mother Marjorie, stepdaughter Marilyn and her children Doug, Don (Bonnie), David (Laurie) and Dean (Amanda). GIESINGER - It is with great sadness the family of Elizabeth Rose (Betty) Giesinger announces her passing on Friday February 13, 2004 at Pioneer Village. Betty was born in Dysart, SK on November 25, 1920 to Joseph and Rose Leibel. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1976; sisters Eleanor and Delphine and brother Gordon. Betty is survived by her children Mike (Marianne), Maureen (Barry) Slinn and Greg (Nancy); sisters Julie (Fred) Wiest, Gladys (Bill) Lord, Hilda Beaton and Brother Vern (Alva); brother-in-law Dr. Adam Giesinger and sister-in-law Anna (John) Misniak and many nieces and nephews. Betty worked at Kressge's in Regina until 1951 when she and Frank were married. They moved to the family farm in Holdfast and lived there until 1958 when they returned to Regina. Betty was an active member of St. Cecilia's C.W.L. for many years. She loved her family very much and enjoyed gardening and her home. Betty will be missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada Sask. Division, 150 Albert St. Regina SK., S4R 2N2. RAILTON - Jean Railton (nee Hillhouse) late of Regina, Sask. and formerly of Sintaluta, Sask. passed away peacefully, on Saturday February 14, 2004. Born April 5, 1916 on the Ochapowace Reserve near Broadview, Sask. where her father was an agent. Predeceased by her father Robert Fred Hillhouse 1951, her mother Flossie Boston 1964, three brothers; Gordon 1981, Roy 1987 and Elmer (Al) 1996 and two sisters in law; Eileen and Edith. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Wes, one daughter Donna (Clarence) Clark, Regina, one son Alan (Shelley) Railton, Sintaluta, six grandchildren; Scott Clark, Dallas, Texas; Dean Clark, Calgary, Alberta; Karen Clark, Ottawa, Ontario; Tracy Railton, Regina; Brent Railton, Medicine Hat, Alberta and Cory Railton, Saskatoon, Sask., one sister in law Dorothy Hillhouse, Victoria, BC, also her many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, Sask. on Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. Ms. Connie Sykes officiating with family interment in the Sintaluta Cemetery at a late date. REDENBACH - On Thursday, February 12, 2004, Louis Redenbach, Grenfell, Sask., and late of the Lakeside Nursing Home, Wolseley, Sask., died at the age of 90 years. The funeral service will be held in the Peace Lutheran Church, Grenfell, Sask., on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Officiant Rev. Sang Rog Choi. Interment of cremated remains in the Grenfell Cemetery, Louis was predeceased by his wife Ella in 1989. He is survived by three daughters: Louella (Dan) McLean, Gail (Raymond) Neuls, Beverley (Lynn) Waugh, all of Courtenay, B.C., nine grandchildren: Danny and Paula; Dean, Lorelei, Tracey and Kristi; Cameron, Ryan and Jean, six great grandchildren: Callee and Travis; Braden and Brittany; Andrew and Hannah. Louis is also survived by his sisters Mary Bolen and Teenie Halverson, as well as his half sisters, half brothers, step siblings, nieces and nephews.
