Ervin Dean Lischka
(December 14, 1954 - March 30, 2008)

LISCHKA – On Sunday, March 30, 2008, Ervin Dean Lischka, late of Lampman, SK, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 53 years. Ervin was predeceased by his grandparents; parents, Charlie and Rowena; brothers, Greg, Norbert and Kirk, and nephew B.J. He is survived by his brothers, Dwight (Tammy) and Nick; sisters, Geraldine (Ron) Resler, Denice (Owen) Stephens and Michele (Jeff) Carter; sister-in-law Doris Lischka as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. with Sr. Jacqueline Lussier officiating and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Fr. Lorne D. Crozon. Both services from Our Lady of Seven Sorrows R.C. Church, Lampman. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish Cemetery, Lampman. Those so wishing may make
donations to the Lampman Community Health Centre in Ervin’s memory. Funeral arrangements are in care of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan (634-8233)

Ada Pearl Winteringham
(July 10, 1920 - March 31, 2008)

WINTERINGHAM – Ada Pearl Winteringham, late of Stoughton, SK, passed away peacefully at Newhope Pioneer Lodge in Stoughton on Monday, March 31, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Pearl was born on July 10, 1920. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward (Ted), and sisters Ida Barton, Ruth Phillips, and Ella Gray. Pearl is survived by her special nephew Norman Shaw and numerous other nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Pearl will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm from Grace United Church in Stoughton with Rev. Conrad Knoch officiating. Interment will follow in Stoughton Town Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to Newhope Pioneer Lodge, Stoughton, or the Canadian Cancer Society in Pearl’s memory. Funeral arrangements are in care of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan (634-8233).

Henry Edward Gheyssen
(February 6, 1925 - March 31, 2008)

GHEYSSEN – On Monday, March 31, 2008, Henry Edward Gheyssen, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Estevan at the age of 83 years. Henry was predeceased by his sister Mary Gheyssen; brothers, Joseph Gheyssens and Chuck Gheyssen and brother-in-law Albert Andries. Henry was a husband and companion to Mary for 60 years and a father to Gary (Lorraine), Gordon (Margie), Gregg (Bonnie), Mary Ann (Ken) and Diane (Garry) Gress. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his sister Agnes (Gilbert) Fraser and his sisters-in-law Marguerite Gheyssens, Madeleine Andries, Cecile (Lloyd) Smith and Marie Gheyssen. He will be greatly missed by the Gheyssen and Tommelein families, especially the numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Prayers and Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, by Rev. Fr. Leonardo Tamayo. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later time. Our family extends a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Parkinsons’ Foundation (Parkinson Society Canada) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Hermine Albine Sylvestre
(Feb. 16, 1909 - May 10, 2008)

SYLVESTRE – On Saturday, May 10, 2008, Hermine Albine Sylvestre, late of Bellegarde, SK, passed away in Redvers, SK at the age of 99 years. Hermine was predeceased by her husband Félix and her granddaughter Carole
Bourgeois. She is survived by her children, Rolande (Gérard) Bourgeois, Roger (Shirley) Sylvestre and Guy (Cheryl) Sylvestre; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; siblings Angèle Lajeunesse, George Lamotte and Rose-Hélene (Howard) Nielsen and sisters-in-law Regina Sylvestre and Blanche Lamotte, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Maurice R.C. Church, Bellegarde, by Rev. Francis Hengen and Rev. Emile Toupin. Interment will follow in St. Maurice Parish Cemetery, Bellegarde. Those so wishing may make donations to St. Maurice Parish, Bellegarde, in Hermine’s memory. Funeral arrangements are in care of Boire Funeral Home, Redvers (452-6020).

Melvin Francis Faber
(Sep. 21, 1925 - May 13, 2008)

FABER – Melvin Francis Faber, age 82, late of Carlyle, SK, slipped away from us, peacefully, May 13th, 2008. Melvin was born on the family farm September 21st, 1925 to Louis and Anne (Sand) Faber. He attended Green Hill School then took over the family farm. He met and married Miriam E. McCormick, October 28th, 1948. Melvin and Miriam raised ten children on the farm and in later years enjoyed numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Melvin was an active member of the community. He served on the board of the Co-Op and the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. He was very dedicated to his faith and was a Fourth Degree knight in the Roman Catholic Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening. He thought, as it has been said, that the most unselfish thing a man can do is plant a tree. Melvin was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Miriam (McCormick) Faber, by his parents Louis and Anne (Sand) Faber, sister Edna (Arne) Sneve and brothers John (Doris) Faber and Mathias (Greta) Faber. Melvin is survived by sisters-in-law Doris King and Anne (Gordon) Bruins, by his children Lynda (Patrick) Wilson, Allan Faber, Susan (Eugene) Worrall, LaVerne (Betty-Ann) Faber, Paul (Donna) Faber, Louis Faber, Joanne (Scott) Unruh, Kathy Parisien, Mary-Lou (Tim) Fogarty, Dan
Faber. Grandchildren; Ian (Keri) Faber, Mark (Rhea) Faber, Tony (Chris) Faber, Keri (Jeff) Lukye, Belinda (Dustin) Laquerre, Julie Faber, Lisa (Todd) Chahley, Jared and Kristin Faber, Adam and Lee Parisien, Colin and Molly Fogarty, Matthew and Joseph Faber. Great Grandchildren; Michael Doyle, Callin Faber, Riley Faber, Maya Lukye, Breanna Laquerre, Former Daughters in law Carla Faber, Trina Faber and Former son in law Phil Parisien and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. David Banga. Both services from the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady, Carlyle. Private family interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wordsworth, SK. Those so wishing may make donations to the Wordsworth Cemetery Fund, c/o Pat Anderson, Carlyle, SK, in Melvin’s memory. Yvonne Agnes Glowatski
(Feb 19, 1910 - May 27, 2008)

GLOWATSKI – On Tuesday, May 27, 2008, Yvonne Agnes Glowatski, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Estevan at the age of 98 years. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1972; daughter-in-law Janice Glowatski;
granddaughter Laurel Glowatski and brother Hubert Mouly. She is survived by her children, Louis of Estevan, George of Hitchcock, SK, Roger (Alice) of
Winnipeg, MB, Bernie (Sue) of Vernon, B.C., Paul (Joan) of San Diego, CA, Marcel (Hazel) of Weyburn, SK, Denise (Steve) Chabot of Sherwood Park, AB and Jeannine (Jim) Cairns of Estevan; brother George (Gertrude) Mouly of
Miami, FL, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and special sister-in-law Noelle Mouly. Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. from the chapel of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan, with Mr. Doug Third officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, by Rev. Lorne D. Crozon. Interment will follow in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Albert Roussel
(October 16, 1920 – May 7, 2008)

Albert passed away peacefully in the Veteran’s Wing of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in Regina on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the age of 87 years.

Born fourth oldest in a family of eight to Trefflé and Sidonie Roussel, Albert grew up on his parents’ farm near Bellegarde, Saskatchewan. After serving as a proud member of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion during World War II, Albert raised his family, farmed, and was an active member of the Bellegarde community. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children and always put his family first. He was a quiet man, who exuded strength of character and dignity. After retiring to Redvers, Albert continued to enjoy travelling South for many years.

Albert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Micheline; son Ivan (Jeannette), grandchildren Tracy (Pat) and Sheldon; son Ronald (Catherine), grandchildren Christopher and Mathew; son Marc (Deb), grandchildren Kari, Candice (Jared), and Michael; daughter Ella (Dave) and grandchildren Dominic and Gabrielle along with great grandchildren Quinn, Rhys, Pierce and Madeline. Born fourth oldest in a family of eight to Treffle and Sidonie Roussel, Albert is also survived by sisters Marie, Claire, Simone and brother Tony as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs R.C. Church, 1932 – 1st Avenue North, Regina, SK on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., by Rev. Eugene Schaffer. Private Interment at a later date. Donations in memory of Albert may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are in care of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan & Redvers (634-8233).

Naomi Jennie Nielsen Olsen
(October 8, 1925 - November 11, 2008)

OLSEN – Naomi Jennie Nielsen (1925 – 2008). Naomi was born in Moorhead, Iowa on October 8, 1925. She was the fifth of nine children born to Reverend Anton and Kristine Skanderup. She taught school in Alberta, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick until she married Ahlmann Olsen on October 26, 1949. Naomi and Ahlmann raised three children. She passed away in Redvers, Saskatchewan on November 11, 2008, at the age of 83 years, with her family at her side.

Naomi was predeceased by her husband, Ahlmann; her parents, Anton and Kristine Skanderup; mother and father-in-law Arnold and Agnes Olsen; her sister Ruth Colberns; brothers Verne, Milton, Leo and Clifford Skanderup; sisters-in-law, Ruth Skanderup, Elsie Skanderup and Cora Olsen; brothers-in-law Niels Eskesen and Ben Colbens; nephews, David Pedersen, Keith Colbens, Clark Colbens, Lloyd Colbens and Andrew Grane; nieces Kay Hayworth and Carli Hayworth.

Naomi is survived by one daughter, Elaine (Paul) Miko; two sons, Dennis (Karen) Olsen, and Edwin (Pat) Olsen; seven grandchildren, Neil Miko, Jeff (Leslie) Miko, Laura (Casey) Ohlmann, Kelly Derbyshire, Katie (Darrin) Steenbruggen, Terri-Ann (Dwayne) Toms, Kelly Olsen (Amber McKinnon); eight great grandchildren, Madison Ohlmann, Courtney, Trisha, Allison & Rheanne Toms; Cody and Crysten Steenbruggen, and Sophie McKinnon Olsen; one sister, Agnete Eskesen; two brothers Alvin (Martha) Skanderup, Verner (Connie) Skanderup; one brother-in-law, Carl Olsen; five sisters-in-law, Evelyn Skanderup, Agnethe Skanderup, Esther Olsen, Eleanora (Finn) Grane, Lilllian (Bendt) Pedersen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

VISITATION will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Redvers. A CELEBRATION OF NAOMI’S LIFE will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Dannevirke Lutheran Church, Redvers, with Rev. Cornelia van Bentum officiating. Interment will follow in Dannevirke Cemetery, Redvers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Naomi, may be made to the Redvers & District Community Health Foundation Inc. or the Perpetual Care Fund at Dannevirke Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dustin Hall of HALL FUNERAL SERVICES, Redvers (452-6020).

Marion Slabick
(January 16, 1929 - November 14, 2008)

SLABICK – Marion Ann (1929 – 2008). Marion Slabick, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Estevan on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the age of 79 years. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Szczepanski; husband Edward Slabick; brothers, Stephen, Joseph, Benjamin and Karol and sister Jean. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Sandra (Vince) McGillicky of Estevan; son Edward Slabick Jr. of Benson, SK and granddaughter Leigh-Ann (Darrel) Tessier of Estevan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Mr. Doug Third officiating. Darrell Gilbert Glen Brock
(June 1, 1939 - November 17, 2008)

BROCK – Darrell (1939 – 2008). On Monday, November 17, 2008 Darrell Gilbert Glen Brock, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Estevan at the age of 69 years. Darrell was predeceased by his parents, Len and Alice Brock; step mother Sophie; sisters, Joyce and Shelagh; brothers, Norman and Leslie; brothers-in-law Tom Morrow and Ed Orser; sister-in-law Patricia Brock and special friend Bruce Morrow. He is survived by his sisters, Audrey (Charlie) Loustel and Carla Morrow; brother Kelvin (Mary) Brock and sister-in-law Elsie Brock, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. VISITATION will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Roger Magotiaux
(December 19, 1941 - November 22, 2008)

MAGOTIAUX – Roger Edmond (1941 – 2008). Roger Magotiaux, late of Redvers, SK, passed away in Redvers on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the age of 66 years. Roger was predeceased by his father George Magotiaux, sister Lydia, brother-in-law Lucien Martin, nephews: Roland and Richard Perreaux and Tim Griffiths.

He will be forever cherished and missed by his mother Simone; sisters: Zoe Martin, Eveline (Lucien) Perreaux and Albine (Albert) Martin; brothers: Emile (Emilie) Magotiaux, Albert Magotiaux and Leon (Lorraine) Magotiaux, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

VISITATION will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Redvers. FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers, by Rev. Francis Hengen and Rev. Emile Toupin. Laurent Leon Henrion
(Born January 29, 1935 - Died November 23, 2008)

HENRION – On Sunday, November 23, 2008, Laurent Leon Henrion, late of Redvers, SK, passed away in Brandon, MB at the age of 73 years.

Laurent was born January 29, 1935 to Felicien and Margaret Henrion. He married Jeanne d’Arc (Joan) and together they raised a family of five children. Joanne (Denis) Quennelle and their family Alain Quennelle and Colin Quennelle; Rosaline (Gerry) Martel and their family Alisha Martel (Greg Sarvis) and great grandchild Alayna Sarvis; Jeremie Martel (Shylee) and great grandchildren Chase Martel and Kade Martel; Rachelle (Joel) Chicoine and great grandchildren Conrad Chicoine, Korbin Chicoine and Landin Chioine; The late Michel (Lorraine) Henrion and their family Tyson Henrion, Tristen Henrion and Megan Henrion Rene (Wanda) Henrion and their family Dylan Henrion, Branden Henrion, Brody Henrion, Ashley Henrion, Brock Henrion and Austin Henrion. Marc (Tobie) Henrion and their family Carson Henrion and Jaxon Henrion. Laurent had 10 siblings: Maurice (Yvette) Henrion, Alphonse (Rose) Henrion, Paul (Anne-Marie) Henrion, Arthur (Jeanette) Henrion, Johnny (Rosella) Henrion, Jeannette (the late Gerard) Poirier, Jeannine (Maurice) King; Noella (Paul) Quennelle, Marie Henrion and Marcel (Shirley) Henrion. His extended family included Joan’s parents the late Antonio and Yvonne Turgeon and her siblings: Antoinette (Henri) Norbert, Andre (Yvonne) Turgeon, Gerard (Pat) Turgeon, Ernest (Madeline) Turgeon, Oliver (Dale) Turgeon, Irene (Roger) Paul, Robert (Marlene) Turgeon, Jeaninne Heppelle and Maurice (Terry) Turgeon.

PRAYERS will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. and FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Francis Hengen. Both Services from Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery, Storthoaks, SK. Those so wishing may make donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Redvers Health Centre in Laurent’s memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Monica Dayman of HALL FUNERAL SERVICES, Redvers (452-6020).
