KUNTZ – Anton “Tony” George (1928 – 2008). Tony Kuntz, late of Estevan, SK and formerly of Torquay, SK passed away in Estevan on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the age of 80 years.Tony was predeceased by his parents, John and Annamaria Kuntz; wife Susan Kuntz; brothers, Joseph Kuntz in infancy and Jack Kuntz; sister Katherine Fedyk; brothers-in-law, Karol Malaryk, Roy Friess, Matt Fedyk, Ben Malaryk and Bob Anderson and nephew Kevin Malaryk.
He is survived by his loving family: sisters, Margaret Friess of Estevan and Rose Malaryk of Estevan; sisters-in-law Jean Anderson and Laura Malaryk; nephews,Darvin (Maxine) Friess, Richard (Jean) Malaryk, Terry (Kim) Malaryk, Brian Malaryk, Garry (Jackie) Malaryk, Darrell (Lori) Malaryk, Rick Malaryk, Mark (Laurel) Kuntz, Robert Anderson and Rick Fedyk; nieces, Marlene Wharton, Lynn (Darrell) Frehlich, Bonnie (Barrie) Mack, Charlene (Mike) Elward, Rita Wenger, Shelley Trobert, Barb Anderson, Vicki (Brian) Blasko, Sharon (Mo) Wilson, Janice (Terry) Balaban, Laurie (Kim) Philiautry, as well as their families.

LAKE – Iona (1930 – 2008). On Wednesday, November 26, 2008, Iona Lake, late of Stoughton, SK, passed away in Newhope Lodge in Stoughton at the age of 78 years. Iona was predeceased by her parents, George and Edna Charles; daughter Sandra Wallace Lake and grandson Thomas Scott Lake. She is survived by her loving family: husband John; sons, Cliff (Peggy) and Bob; grandchildren, Josh (Shannon) Wallace, Jonathan (Cheryl) Lake and Rylee Iona Lake and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Dillon and Kyle Wallace. CHUBALA - On Monday, November 3, 2008, Elizabeth “Liz” Chubala, formerly of Lampman, SK, passed away in Regina, SK at the age of 87 years. Liz was predeceased by her husband Peter, son Garry, sister Marjorie and brothers: Alex, Joe and Paul. She is survived by her children: Cliff (Marlene) Chubala of Delaronde Lake, SK, Clare McGuire of Leduc, AB, Phyllis (Joe) Higgins of Brooks AB, Don Chubala of Regina, SK, Brian (Louann) Chubala of Calgary, AB and Carl (Marie) Chubala of Regina, SK; 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Ida) Yakimenko and Gerry (Arlene) Yakimenko, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Seven Sorrows R.C. Church, Lampman, by Rev. Callistus Ibe. JOHNSON - On Monday, November 3, 2008, Anne Johnson, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Regina, SK at the age of 85 years. Anne was predeceased by her parents Per Magnus and Anna Brita Polson as well as 10 brothers and sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband John, and children: Calven (Gloria) Johnson of Estevan, Karen (Don) Ryan of Saskatoon, Kendall Johnson of Estevan and Keith (Ruth) Johnson of High River, AB; grandchildren: Sonja (Lance) Colbow, Lana (Gary) Andrist, Clinton (Dana) Ryan, Timothy Ryan, Erin (Dallyn) Johnson, Cheri Cavanaugh, Michelle (Dan) Ritz and David Wylie; numerous great grandchildren; her sister Clara (Jamie) Tees and brother Elver (Lydia) Polson. A Memorial Service was held in the Church of God, Estevan, on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Horton officiating. A private family interment took place in Estevan City Cemetery. Carl Ernest Mantei
(May 30, 1941 - November 6, 2008)
MANTEI – On Thursday, November 6, 2008, Carl Ernest Mantei, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Estevan at the age of 67 years. Carl is survived by his children, Sheila (Dean Seeman) of Estevan, Maureen (Kieth) Lischka of Steelman and Blair (Sarah Wilkes) of Estevan; grandchildren, Tyler Mantei Gillies, Tristan & Tiana Seeman, Drayden, Lauren & Mikayla Lischka and Austin Mantei; sisters, Bunny (Utho) Steidle of Winnipeg, MB, Tilly Andrist of Estevan and Lorna Fiest of Estevan; brothers, Don (Faye) of Estevan, Roy (Margaret) of Estevan and Gerald of High River, AB; brother-in-law: Clem Weinrauch; sister-in-law Karie Mantei and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Henrietta Mantei; sisters, Lorraine Hochstein, Linda Mantei, Erna Kraak and Carey Weinrauch; brother Allen; brothers-in-law, Ralph Hochstein, Tony Mitchell and Leroy Fiest and nephew Robert Hochstein.
In keeping with Carl’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
Carl’s cremated remains will be interred during a private ceremony in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Outram, SK at a later date.

Caroline “Chickie” Yakamovich
(June 11, 1923 - November 8, 2008)
YAKAMOVICH - On Saturday, November 8, 2008, Caroline “Chickie” Yakamovich of Estevan, SK, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 years. Chickie was the last member of the Klymyk family. She is survived by Peter, her loving husband and partner of 68 years; son Jerry and daughter-in-law Lorna of Victoria, BC; grandchildren: Kim (Michael), Kevin (Tara) and Kyle; and great grandchildren: Deidra, Katelyn and Madison. A private family service and interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Caroline may be made to Sun Country Regional Health Authority or to a charity of choice. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness and expression of sympathy during the loss of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother “Chickie”. CARRIER – On Sunday, November 9, 2008, Laurette Carrier, late of Carlyle and formerly of Redvers, passed away at the age of 85 years. Laurette was predeceased by her parents Theodule and Marie Landry; her husband Henry Carrier; sisters Germaine Landry and Marianne Wilvers; and brothers Roger and Paul Landry. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved nephew Emile (Lorraine) Wilvers and their family Keith (Leena) and Dan (Jen); her sisters: Marie-Rose Beaulac, Cecile Nissen, Lorraine Stocking, Margaret Boutin and Vivian Hirsch; brothers: Johnny Landry, Marcel Landry and Eugene Landry; and her step-mother Flora Gervais. Lucille Gertrude Kaake

KAAKE – On Tuesday, October 14, 2008, Lucille Gertrude Kaake, late of Redvers, SK, passed away in Redvers at the age of 69 years. Lucille was born on December 25, 1938 in the Spring Creek District, Saskatchewan. Lucille was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Mildred as well as her brother Gordon. She is survived by her
brother Herbert (Gertrude) Kaake, sister Phyllis (George) Birchall and sister in law Audrey Kaake as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was an active and vibrant part of the Redvers Activity Centre family since 1978. The twinkle in her eye and her impish grin will long be missed and lovingly remembered.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Lucille will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Redvers, with Rev. Michelle Moore officiating. WILHELM – Hilda Maria (1920 – 2008). Hilda Wilhelm passed away peacefully at the Lampman Community Health Centre, Lampman, SK, on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Hilda is lovingly remembered by her daughter Marlene (Herman) Ulrich of Lampman; son Don (Joyce) Wilhelm of Lampman; son Ken (Bonnie) Wilhelm of St. Albert, AB; grandchildren, Peggy (Allan) Fleck, Randy (Maureen) Ulrich, Joanne (David) Schaff, Keith (Jackie) Wilhelm, Warren (Corrina) Wilhelm, Darren (Cathy) Wilhelm, Marni (Adam) Pettigrew, Ryan Wilhelm, Marci (Stephen) Yaremcio, Simi (Nimit) Shah and Dean Sommers, as well as 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; sister Kay

Margaret Chappell
(1937 - 2008)
CHAPPELL – Margaret Chappell passed away on October 19, 2008 at the age of 71 years. She is survived by her loving son Kevin; sister Rose Geisel and brother Bill Kreics. Margaret was born in Bienfait and raised near Frobisher. She lived most of her life in Whitmore Park in Regina and worked for S.G.I. until her early retirement. Margaret had a passion for gardening and was well known for her pink flower beds. A private family memorial service was held in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, on October 30, 2008.
