DORNIAN - Marion Rose Dornian, nee Stark was born on December 8, 1927 to the late Thomas and Matilda Stark. She was the eldest of 6 children and grew up in the Estevan District.

On October 24, 1949 Marion married Paul Dornian, son to the late Steven and Flora Dornian. The couple farmed in the Outram Disrict and were blessed with 9 healthy children. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. The family moved to Estevan in 1968 where Marion was a tireless employee at various places.

She was a phenomenal cook and baker and accomplished at crochet and knitting. Many of her friends and family were lucky enough to receive some of her beautifully made hats and doilies.

Marion's husband Paul, passed away on February 18, 1989 and she continued to always take care of the loved ones in her life. A devoted grandmother, Marion always made time for her 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She enjoyed collecting Seraphina angels and beautiful porcelain birds, flowers and place settings. She also loved to watch baseball and was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Marion Dornian was a beautiful person who touched all of our lives with her kind ways and loving heart. She is loved for so many things, but, most of all for these:

Her readiness to lend a hand, her eagerness to please, her smile, her warmth, her tenderness, her way of spreading cheer. She's loved for all of these and more each day through the years.

Marion passed away in Estevan on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her nine children: Carol (Dennis) Schick, Larry (Suzanne) Dornian, Gregg Dornian (David Drysdale), Betty (Don) McAuley, Mary (Bob) Foster, David Dornian (Rose Steinke), Keith Dornian, Vernon Dornian and Ron Dornian; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers.
