Passed away: July 14, 2007

“I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:2, 3. Early Saturday morning, July 14, 2007, the Lord received Mary to Himself. With Abe at her side, and following a lengthy, courageous stay at the Palliser, the desire of her heart was granted. She reached the age of 87 years, 8 months and 17 days. Mary was born on October 27, 1919 at her parents family farm in Rosenort, SK. Being the eldest of a large family of 16 children, she left school after grade 6 to help care for the family. She enjoyed doing little “extras” for the younger siblings. Mary and Abe were married November 20, 1945. They lived on their family farm in the Bigford area until their retirement in 1987, at which time they moved to Swift Current. She was obedient in using the gifts God had given her - the gifts of helps, hospitality and prayer. Many a family was blessed by her meals and generosity.
