FLEMING, On Monday, June 25, 2001, James Wilfred Fleming passed away at the age of 74 years. Predeceased by his son James; his parents Joseph and Mary; stepbrothers, Bill and John; stepsisters Bella Leonard and Barbara Copeland. James is survived by his wife Florence; four daughters: Elizabeth (Larry) Harkes, Ceylon, Kathleen (Chris) Feszczyn of Regina, Caroline (Dan) Barber of Regina, Linda (Bob Mullen) Fleming of Regina; two sons, David (Patricia) of Kisbey, Ronald (Deb) of Regina; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Tom (Marion) of Kelliher, Bob of Leross; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. FORD, FRANK (BUD). Bud passed away on Saturday, June 23rd, 2001 at 12:10 a.m. He is survived by wife Olga, sons Bob (Shirley), Bill (Lee and Amy), Greg (Gayle); daughter-in-law Diane Rimmer; grandchildren Anne (Ken), Dave (Stacey), Laura (Dave), Karen (Rhett), Darren, Jaye, Brittany, Jennifer (Mark), and Bryan; great-grandchildren Cassandra, Mason, Caitlin, Tyson, and Nicole all from Saskatoon. Also survived by sister Ruby Arnason of Penticton, B.C., Pat (Frank) Hutchings of Regina, Helen Bronam (Ed) of Kamloops, B.C., Jewel Nixon of Cobourg, Ont., Olive (Clarence) Jordon of Kamloops, B.C., and Grace (Raymond) Jacobs of Redding, California; brother Bill (Ester) Ford of Saskatoon; as well as many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by parents George and Anne Ford, twin sister Kathleen and sister Marj. Bud was born in 1926 at Bures, SK. He spent his younger years on the farm helping his parents with the numerous chores to be done. From there he went to Weyburn, SK to work at the mental hospital. He then traveled to Trail, B.C. where he worked in the smelter and studied heavy-duty mechanics through correspondence. Bud and Olga were married at Trail, B.C. on June 1, 1948. The next five years were spent working at heavy-duty mechanics with R.J. Fyfe. From there he went to work for Cummins Mid Canada and was transferred to Saskatoon to manage their new shop. Bud retired in 1970 due to ill health and spent his time building various projects, working around the yard and spending time with his children and grandchildren competing in the Soap Box Car Races. Pallbearers will be David Ford, Darren Ford, Bryan Ford, Jae Ford, Ken Reimer, Mark Ulmer, Rhett Kutney and David Lewis. The family would like to thank Dr. Shenouda and Dr. Bhalerao and staff in Coronary Care at City Hospital for their care of Frank Ford during his hospital stay. The Funeral Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Carlton Miller officiating. Viewing for family and friends will be held prior to the service. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 9Z9. FUCHS, On Sunday, June 24, 2001 Rose Marie Fuchs (nee Folk), late of Regina, Sask., passed away at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, brothers Frank, Anton and Genus and sister Margaret. Rose is survived by her children Adrian (Agnes), Eleanor (Larry) Matz, Don (Denise), Caroline (Ken) Sharp, Joan (John) Zylak and Lucille (Gary) Verrett; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 7:30 P.M. in Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 5020 Sherwood Dr., Regina, SK with Rev. Paul Dungan, Celebrant. IVANY, Mrs. J. Belle Ivany passed away peacefully at Pioneer Lodge, Moose Jaw, on Monday, June 25, 2001 at the age of 98 years. Mrs. Ivany was born in Austin, Manitoba, May 19, 1903. Belle was predeceased by her parents Henry and Sara McGuire, her husband J.W. (Bill) Ivany in 1973 and her daughter-in-law ILENE Ivany in March, 1999. She is survived by: her two sons Ron and Gerry; Ron of Jansen and his family of four sons and one daughter, Randy (Cheryl) of Marathon, Ontario, Rick of Kimberly, B.C., Lori (Ted) Drake of Jansen, Terry (Debbie) of Prince Albert and Derrick (Andrea) of Weyburn; Gerry and (Elaine) Ivany of Moose Jaw and their family of one son and two daughters, Brian of Moose Jaw, Linda (George) Willatt of Moose Jaw, Carol (Greg) Luterbach of Calgary; and seventeen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She was a loving and caring Mother and Grandmother. Belle was a member of the United Church, the Eastern Star, Legion Auxiliary, Royal Purple, Rebekah Lodge, and many bridge clubs. Belle enjoyed playing the Piano, cooking for her friends and family and playing cards. Belle will always be remebered for her sense of humour and for her witty remarks. She completed high school in Assiniboia. She married Bill Ivany in 1928 and he was a CPR Agent. They lived in several communities in southern Saskatchewan: Coronach, Willows, Osage, Kincaid, Woodrow, Kisbey, Milestone, Regina and Moose Jaw. The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Lodge and Ina Grafton for their excellent, loving care during Mother's last years. Flowers are gratefully declined. BANANISH, On Saturday, June 16, 2001, Agnes Marie (Willy) Bananish, late of Regina, Sask., passed away at the age of 66 years. Willy was predeceased by her father Frank Bananish in 1981, mother Agnes in 1955, infant son Lawrence in 1970, husband Lawrence in 1974 and seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her family who loved her dearly: daughter Suzanne (Jerry), son Frank (Sheilla), grandchildren Stephany, Danielle and Rayna, all of Regina, sisters Patsy and Gerta, both of Regina, brothers Percy of Regina and Mike (Celine) of White River, Ont., one brother-in-law Clifford Saunders and three sisters-in-law, all of Ontario, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. BARBER, John Raymond died June 16, 2001 in Grandview Manitoba. John was born April 8, 1921 in Pleasant Point Manitoba, the third son of Wilburn and Iva Barber. He was predeceased by his wife Betty and his brothers, Wilfred and Earl. He leaves to mourn seven children: Boyd, Allison, Molly, Kitty, Deirdre, Dixon and John and nine grandchildren: Kate, Rachel, Elizabeth, Delaney, John, Allison, Jocelyn, Matthew and Alexandra. John fought in World War II in the R.C.A.F. He was active in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was an early member of the C.C.F. John was also an avid sportsman. He loved baseball, curling, hunting and fishing. He loved the woods and died near his beloved Singush Lake. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Anglican in Regina, 142 Massey Road, at 4:00 pm, Thurs., June 21. A family interment of his ashes will take place later in the summer at Singush Lake.
