HERMAN - Mr. John A. (Al) Herman passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2003. He left behind his oldest daughter Ruth Argue (nee Herman); his son Jesse Herman and his daughter Johanna (Joanne) Herman; his older brother Sid Herman and his sister-in-law Mrs. Sandra Herman; his twin sister Beatrice Avarbuch of Los Angeles, and sister Anna Wiseman of Winnipeg. Our beloved father served in the Navy and Merchant Marines during the war years and for two years after. He then became a proboxer. He worked with his older brother Sid Herman at Herman Brothers Trailer Court for many years. He went swimming every day until just before he slipped away from this world. He now resides with God and is forever in our hearts. We love you, Dad and always will. Thank you for all the love you gave everybody all which will always be returned to you. We would also like to thank Speers Funeral Chapel for their graciousness. They peacefully laid our father to rest beside our mother, Mrs. Adelia Herman on Friday, November 7, 2003. God gave them the victory of a beautiful life and beyond in His love and Eternal Light and heartbeat. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services.

BELL - On Wednesday, November 12, 2003 Doris passed away peacefully at the young age of 77 years. Doris is predeceased by her husband and best friend Tom, her parents Eva and James McWhirter; brothers, Roger, Eddy and the baby; her twin sister, Mae Duff; sisters, Alda Harris, Evelyn Hartley and Jean Gustafson. She is survived by her son Tom of Regina, daughter Pat (David) Borrow of Calgary, brother Andy McWhirter of Regina, sister Ruth Moore of Winnipeg, brother-in-law Jack Duff of Regina, plus many special nieces, nephews and friends. Doris was born in Regina, SK on June 4, 1926. She grew up in a loving, happy home and went to work for McDonald's Consolidated as a young adult. She worked at Sears in Regina for 25 years, making friends, many of whom she has kept throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and mother above all else. Her strong family values; sense of humor, and ""keeping the peace"" made her an exceptional wife, Mom and friend. Over the years, she greatly enjoyed bowling 10 pin, growing flower gardens, shopping, going to tea with Betty, Agnes and Tracy at every opportunity, knitting, and daily telephone ""chats"" with close family and friends. Coming from a musical family she loved to sing, dance and listen to music. Doris spent her life loving, caring for, and laughing with others. She will be forever be missed, remembered and loved by all who knew her. A very special thank you to Dr. C.A. Geddes for her years of tender care, and to the Nurses and staff in the Palliative Care at the Pasqua Care at the Pasqua Hospital for their amazing kindness, care and peaceful atmosphere they provided for Mom. The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home 3101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. with Rev. Ron Sutton officiating. CARLSON - DOROTHY passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Pasqua Hospital on Tuesday, November 11, 2003. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents and two brothers. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Gunnar; her ""three boys"" Wayne (Karen) of Calgary; Lee (Lynda) of Regina; and Renny (Shelly) of Regina, her grandchildren, great grandchildren; sister Kay Dunlop (Ontario), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. She touched the hearts of many and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. At Dorothy's request, there will be no funeral service. DOLSON - LOUIS passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents, Lou will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan; daughter Dawn (Bill) Hamilton; special grandchildren Christina (Todd) McCubbin, Heather Hamilton and Kevin Hamilton; and great-grandchildren Kailee and Riley. Lou is also survived by his children in Ontario: Joyce, Barbara, Raymond, Richard, Julie, Sandra, Linda, Patricia, Grant and Lloyd; brothers: Jack, Donald, Boyd and Cameron; sisters: Connie, Helen and Margaret and their families. Lou was always cheerful, had a great sense of humor, and loved to visit with his family, friends and neighbors. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Pasqua Hospital for their kindness and care over the past few weeks. GILLESPIE, GARNET L. - Garnet was born 5 January 1925 in Unity, Sask. After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II Garnet returned to Earl Grey, married Bea Parley and started their family with daughter Marlene. After graduating from the U of S with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Garnet and family moved to Kingston, Ont. where he was a member of the Canadian Army, RCEME Corps. While in Kingston daughter Wendy was born. The next move for Garnet and family was to Ottawa, Ont. where he was employed at the Canadian Patent Office as a patent examiner in the field of mechanical engineering. During the 26 years in Ottawa prior to retirement back to Regina, son Murray was born. Upon retirement Garnet established his own business as a patent application consultant. Garnet, in his spare time, was an avid pilot and an enthusiast of physical fitness as was evidenced by his rollerblading, skating and jogging routines. For 53 years Garnet, whether near of far, was a dedicated member of Earl Grey Branch #137 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Garnet passed away suddenly on 10 November, in Regina, at the age of 78. Garnet was predeceased by his parents Hector and Helen, his wife Beatrice, his brother Clarence and sister-in-law Adella. Garnet leaves memories with two daughters, Marlene Latreille and Wendy Gillespie, son Murray Gillespie, brother James Gillespie (Sheryl) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Pastor Harvey Wicks officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. HEHN - John Frank Hehn, late of Regina, SK passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the age of 69 years. John was predeceased by his father Frank and mother Elizabeth and a brother Joe. He is survived by his wife Irene; daughters Sheila Hehn and Wendy (Mike) Brassard; son Michael Hehn; granddaughters Alexis and Cassandra; sisters Helen Vilac, Bregita Spanier, Marge (Joe) Schnitzler and Doris Barker. John was always on the go, playing ball and coaching, working or volunteering his time to various organizations. His selfless dedication to family and others will be greatly missed. ASHLEY - Marian Anne passed away in her 96th year at Regina, Saskatchewan on Monday, November 10, 2003. Marian was predeceased by her husband Sidney in 1978, brother George and sister Evelyn. She is survived by her loving children; David (Eileen) Toronto and Ruth (Bob) Petersmeyer Regina. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Stephen, Toronto, Emily (Andrew) New York, Wendy (Rob) Petersmeyer Vancouver, Ashley (Robyn) Petersmeyer Regina, and great-grandchildren; Erin and Cassidy of Vancouver. Her sister Doreen, Vancouver, also survives Marian. She was a quiet woman of kindness, strength, wisdom and humour. We will always celebrate her life. A family service is to be held in Toronto.
