KELLN - EDDIE (88 years young) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Pasqua Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. He is predeceased by wife Myrtle Isobella Kelln; parents David and Eva Kelln (nee Reil); brothers Dave and Bob Kellen; sister-in-law Vera Kellen and Eilene Petrie (Brandon); brothers-in-law: Jim Petrie, Sandford Petrie, Leon Donaldson of Broadview, Hugh White (Kipling) and Pete Neimeyer of Duncan BC, Alton Kluth of Regina. He is survived and will be sorely missed by his two sons Ken (Cheryl) Kelln (Lumsden), Larry Kelln (Edmonton); three grandchildren Sara Kelln (Lumsden), Diana Dillman (Tustin Calif.), Shirley Wilkinson (Lacombe Ab); two great grandchildren Joshua and Jordan Dillman. He is also survived by sisters Lena Kluth, Agnus (Clarke) Richards of Regina and Ema (Gus) Markel of Calgary. Sisters-in-law Ida Kelln (Regina), Helen Donaldson, Marge Petrie, Verna (John) Zinkham of Broadview, Jean White of Kipling and Margret Neimeyer of Duncan BC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East on Wednesday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Special thank you to the Nurses and Doctors of the Coronary Care and Intensive Care Units at the Pasqua Hospital, your compassion and dedication were greatly appreciated. BAHR - James Jim Robert 1939 to 2003 passed away peacefully at home at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with ALS. He will be lovingly missed by family and friends; his loving wife of 37 years Peggy; daughters Cheryl (Doug) McNish of Kelowna, BC; Heather (Grant) Hladun of Shellbrook; Son Jeff (Michelle) Bahr of Okotoks; and the four grandchildren who lit up his eyes and heart: Noah and Taylor Hladun and Jordyn and Reid Bahr. Jim was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Marjorie; niece Donna Moreside; father-in-law Ray McLean; sister-in-law Shirley Bull. BALLIETT, FLORA (MCGREGOR) - Flora Balliett, beloved wife of the late Lester Balliett, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12 at the age of 98 years. Flora is survived by her son Barry (Sandra) of Regina, her daughters Shirley, wife of the late Dr. McDermott Sullivan Flint, Michigan and Carol, wife of the late Jacques Mathieu, Ottawa, Ontario. Flora had 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother and two sisters. Flora was born in Rapid City, Manitoba and raised on a farm in Hanley, Sask. She became a teacher and moved to Regina when she married Lester. In her younger days Flora loved to attend family gatherings, spend weekends at the cottage, enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent bowler. A very special thank you to Dr. Tomkins and the staff at Elmview Extendicare for the excellent care and support they provided to Flora. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Mausoleum at Regina Memorial Gardens. GRUNDY - Alma Theresa Grundy of Camrose, formerly of Kelowna, passed away in Edmonton on November 12, 2003 at the age of 83 years. She is survived by one daughter Kathy Grundy of Wetaskiwin; one son Ernest (Judi) Grundy of Kelowna; two grandchildren Ryan and Michael; one sister Erna of Winnipeg; daughters-in-law Marian Grundy and Pat Maranda; and honorary grandchildren Olivia and Josalyne Thornton-Dunn. Alma was predeceased by her husband Alfred John, sons James and Jack Grundy, grandchild Shannon Grundy, one sister Helen Blair and one brother Ernest Weber. ARNOTT - Mrs. Viola Jean (Nee: Ebel). It is with great saddness that we announce the passing of Vi, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away at the Swift Current Regional Hospital, on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the age of 65, with her loving husband by her side. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Olaf's Lutheran Church, Friday, November 21, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Terry Simonson officiating. The interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Organist will be Arlie Neufeld, soloist will be Joyce Olesen. Eulogy was presented by Vi's son-in-law and Marcel Charrois. Left to mourn her passing is her husband and best friend of forty-two years, Lorne Arnott; a daughter Diane Charrois (husband Marcel); a son Brad Arnott (wife Kim); grandchildren Danielle, Gabriel, Bailey and Brayden; brother Walter (wife Gladys); sister Louise; sister-in-law Norma and a number of nieces and nephews. Vi was predeceased by her father Alexander; mother Emelia; infant sister Irene; brothers: William, Theodore and David. Vi was born on September 22, 1938 at Kelstern, SK. She attended Albert School and Scott Collegiate in Regina, SK. Vi and Lorne were married May 20th, 1961 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Regina. Vi worked at the Bank of Montreal prior to and after her marriage. She then took a number of years off to raise a family. The couple moved from Regina to Yorkton in 1972 and then to Swift Current in 1974. Vi eventually returned to work at the Bank of Montreal and was currently retired. Vi belonged to the Elmwood Golf Club, Swift Current Curling Club and St. Olaf's Lutheran Church. Her interests included a great love of golf and curling, and she sincerely loved the friendships and people she contacted during her participation in these sports. Vi enjoyed fishing and playing cards with her many friends. She also coached both boys and girls ball teams. Vi's first love was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be forever missed.
