Martha Heinbigner
January 10, 1927 – December 20, 2014

The death of Martha Heinbigner, age 87 years of Mennonite Nursing Home Rosthern and formerly of Hague, SK occurred on December 20, 2014 at Rosthern Hospital with family by her side. She is survived by her children, Jim; Robert (Elaine); Glenn (Kathy); Brenda (Kevin) Neudorf; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister Molly Kasdorf; brother-in-law Elmer (Rita) Scheidt; and sister-in-law Mary Klein. She was predeceased by her husband, John Heinbigner in 2004, daughter-in-law Lorie; parents, Jacob and Molly Klein; siblings and in-laws John Kasdorf, Gertrude Scheidt, Bernice (Raymond) Scheidt, Jacob (Alice) Klein, John (Martha) Klein, Victor Klein and William (Ann) Klein. An evening viewing time for family and friends will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 7p.m. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, Rosthern. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Hague Mennonite Church, 202 3rd Street, Hague, SK with Lutheran Pastor Sarah Dymund officiating. Interment will take place at the Hague (Old) Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK

Walter Regush
May 30, 1934 – April 13, 2016

The death of Walter Regush, age 81 years occurred on April 13, 2016. Walter was born in Rosthern to William & Pauline (nee Blocka) Regush on May 30, 1934. He is survived by his wife, Rose (nee Kostiuk) Regush; son Kelly (Angela) Regush and their children, Jarrod and Alyssa; son-in-law Shawn McNabb (Allie) and his son, Lucas McNabb; brother Ken Regush, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Joanne McNabb; parents, William & Pauline (nee Blocka) Regush; and sister and brother-in-law, Alexandra (Victor) Hlady. The Prayer service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 7:30 P.M. and the Divine Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Mykola Romanets presiding. Both services will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rosthern, SK. Interment will take place at the Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Rosthern. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK

Maria Giesbrecht
March 14, 1921 – December 18, 2014

The death of Maria Giesbrecht, age 93 years passed away at her residence at the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home on December 18, 2014. She is survived by her brother, David Klassen and sister-in-law, Marge Hamm and all the Fehr and Giesbrecht families. She was predeceased by her first husband, John I. Fehr in 1990, her second husband, Abe Giesbrecht in 2003 and parents, Johann and Maria (Bueckert) Klassen. Viewing for family and friends will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, Rosthern. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Warman Bergthaler Mennonite Church, Warman, SK. Interment will take place at Rheinland Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK

Carl Heinbigner
February 2, 1966 – December 2, 2014

It is with great sadness that we the family of Carl Heinbigner announce his sudden passing at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon SK. Born Feb. 2, 1966 and passed away Dec. 2, 2014. Predeceased by grandparents Sam and Mary Heinbigner and survived by mother Lorraine Heinbigner and brother Randy Heinbigner. Surviving him also are uncles and aunts: Ray and Gladys Fisher and family as well as Jerry and Shirley Heinbigner and family. Also surviving are numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Pallbearers are Ross Rudolph, Sheldon Fiddler, Terry Dobranski, Carlton Lafontaine, Adrian Lafontaine and Elliot Lafontaine. Funeral services will be held at Funk’s Funeral Home, 1010 7th Street Rosthern Sask., Saturday December 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Crocus Co-op, 135 Avenue B South, Saskatoon, SK, S7M 1M2. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern (306-23-5245).

Floyd Rudolph
December 4, 1942 – December 1, 2014

The death of Floyd Ernest Rudolph occurred on December 1, 2014 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. He is survived by his children: Rodney Rudolph, Ross (Stacey) Rudolph, Russ (Coby) Rudolph, Ken Rudolph, Patty (Brad) Rudolph; grandchildren: Jordan (Rosa), Jamie, Krystin (Jeremy), Clinton, Curtis, Justin, Chris, Mackenzie, Sarah, Ocean; brothers: Jim, Brian, Murray, Wayne, and Glen. He was predeceased by his: wife Madeline Rudolph; and parents Richard (Helen) Rudolph. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Funk’s Funeral Chapel, Rosthern, SK. Cremation will take place after the funeral. Burial of ashes will take place at Rosthern Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements were in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK.

Wes Thiessen
May 22, 1963 – November 30, 2014

We the family, sorrowfully announce the passing of Wes on November 30th, 2014 at St. Paul’s Hospital while surrounded by loved ones. Wes is predeceased by his father, Peter, two days prior. Wes is survived by his incredible wife Tracy, daughters Ali and Alex (Chris), mother Irene, brothers Patrick, and Len (Jan), and his niece and nephews Clare, Jacob, and Quinn. Private interment. Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held at Prairieland Park, Saskatoon from 3-6 pm, Friday, December 5, 2014. All are welcome. If led, donations may be made in Wes’ honour to Saskatoon Youth for Christ, 1338 Ave. B North, Saskatoon, SK S7L 1G5. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK (306-232-5245). Cecilia Baribeau
February 8, 1923 – March 19, 2016

On March 19, 2016 our mom was called to her home in heaven. Cecilia (Ginger) was born February 8, 1923 in Duck Lake, oldest child of Graziella and Willie Doucette.
She leaves to mourn her four children: Lionel (Elaine) Baribeau, Elaine (Richard) Wirges, Gisele Nogier, Jocelyne (Tony) Panas; her twelve grandchildren: Marc (Elyn) Baribeau, Colin (Lexie) Baribeau, Lisa Dawn Baribeau, Neil (Jessie) Baribeau; Rob (Corinna) Wirges, Roydon Wirges, Ryan Wirges; Patrick (Lori) Nogier, Wayne (Renee) Nogier, Laurie (Kent) Staniforth, Kari Nicolas, Sheldon Nicolas, as well as her 9 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren; four sisters: Florence, Yvette, Raymonde and Rosemonde.
She was predeceased by Alex, her husband of 68 years, and a great-grandson, Nicolas, three brothers: Leonard, Aurele and Gilles and two sisters, Maggie and Geraldine.
Celebration of Cecilia’s life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Duck Lake, SK. Interment of her ashes will take place in the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Cemetery, Duck Lake, SK. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, St. Laurent, SK mail to 1344 Goshen Place, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0R7. Arrangements are in care of Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK

Peter Thiessen
November 29, 1936 – November 28, 2014

We the family, with great sorrow, announce the peaceful passing of Peter on November 28, 2014 at Saskatoon City Hospital. Peter is survived by his loving wife Irene, sons Len (Jan), Wes followed quickly on Nov. 30th (Tracy) and Patrick, grandchildren Ali, Alexis (Chris), Jacob, Clare and Quinn; brother Edmond (Anita) sisters Ruth and Hilda (Jake) and their families. Family interment. Memorial service will be held at Zoar Mennonite Church, Waldheim at 2 PM Thursday, December 4, 2014. A special thank you to the Angels of the City Hospital and Peter’s day program for their loving support. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Peter to Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7L 3R5 and Canadian Cancer Society, 101 440 2nd Avenue, North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2C3.
