Our most precious Mom and Grandmother passed away July 23, 2007 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Forever our tower of strength and gracious guide in life she will be missed greatly by her sons, Neil Bauman of Saskatoon, SK and Greg Bauman of Flin Flon, MB.

Mom’s family moved here from Iowa and settled on a farm south of Pence, SK where Mom was born and lived until she was 19.
She attended school in Martindale and Drinkwater and with determination she graduated from Nurses Training at Moose Jaw General as Graduate Nurse in 1947.
Her early nursing career led her North to Creighton, SK where she married “Pop” in 1955.
There they raised what she said she was most proud of and that was their two boys.
Mom spent many years nursing in Flin Flon eventually retiring and moving to Denare Beach, SK.
She was often called upon to tend an ailing neighbor, child and even the occasional house call to deliver some TLC to a family pet.
She was politically active and volunteered on the School Board and contributed to various community organizations throughout her life.
She was an avid gardener and found great contentment outdoors amongst her flowers, plants, squirrels, birds and any other wildlife that showed up at her doorstep.
She enjoyed getting down and playing with her grandchildren and was forever giving them horse rides on her knees.
Later in life she fulfilled her desire to travel to some of the places she only read about in the National Geographic’s.
Her love of books continued all her life with a never-ending thirst for knowledge.
Always up on current events she was always eager to debate or discuss world affairs.
Due to health problems, both Mom and Pop eventually made Saskatoon their home.
Mom later moved to the Saskatoon Convalescent Home and resided there until her passing.
Her strong will, determination and early morning coffee visits will be engraved in our hearts and minds.
Thank you so much to all the wonderful, caring people who have been there for her over the years, the doctors and staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic, Dr. Klassen, the staff and residents of the Saskatoon Convalescent Home, and to all her friends and relatives who have made her journey in this life easier.
