Mrs. Christina "Chris" Joan Parker
June 4, 1929 - August 2, 2007

Christina “Chris” Parker passed away peacefully in the early morning of August 2, 2007 in Regina at the age of 78 years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Joe.

Chris will be greatly missed by her loving family, daughters Kathy (Barry) and Susan (Dave); fondly remembered by her grandchildren Glenda (Carlos), Jocelyn (Jeff), Rob, Andrew and Matt; great grandchildren Kieran, Ava, Madison and Brooklyn.

She is also survived by her sisters Pauline, Jean, Rose, Helen and Lydia; brother Pete; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Chris had a great love for all of her family.

The family would like to thank Becky and her staff of main wing at Parkside Extendicare for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mother over the past year.

A MEMORIAL MASS will be held at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church, 2636 – 7th Avenue East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Chris may be made to Saskatchewan Parkinson Disease Foundation, 108B – 3502 Taylor Street E., Saskatoon, SK S7H 5H9 or a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.

Mrs. Rosa "Rose" Louise Ullrich
June 7, 1920 - July 31, 2007

Rosa (Rose) Louise Ullrich was called to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on July 31, 2007 at the age of 87 years.

Rose will be dearly missed by her loving daughter Margaret and husband Ed Tiefenbach; three grandchildren Jason (Christine), Jeffrey (Melanie) and Jodi and three great grandchildren Ava, Thomas and Griffin.

She is survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Egon, who was called to his heavenly home on February 16, 2005; her parents Jacob and Louise Meyer and her siblings Agathe, Fred, Hugo, Laura and Lillian.

Rose was born June 7, 1920 at Openshaw, SK.

She married Egon Ullrich whom she met while she was teaching at Old Kronau School in the country.

They were married June 18, 1943 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kronau, SK.

In 1946, they moved to Regina and became members of Grace Lutheran Church, where Rose taught Sunday school and confirmation classes, was part of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Grace Golden Fellowship.

Rose taught primary grades at Wetmore and Peart School in Regina for many years.

Rose lived life large.

She had a vibrant personality, an incredible love for God and people and she inspired all of us who loved her so dearly.

In her spare time she loved to read, play the piano, play cards, do puzzles, write letters and relax at their cottage on Pasqua Lake.

In earlier years, she and Egon entertained and delighted seniors with their musical talents as they both played in the Merry Makers band.

A VISITATION will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A CELEBRATION OF ROSE’S LIFE will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina SK on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.

INTERMENT will take place at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Hour, 270 Lawrence Avenue, Kitchener, ON N2M 1Y4 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.

Mr. Harry Thomas Keel
August 4, 1954 - August 1, 2007

Harry passed away on August 1, 2007 at the age of 52 years.

He was predeceased by his father James “J.D.”

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sandy; children Twyla, Christopher and Shayne; mother Maxine; brothers Jack and Gary; sister Annette; as well as many extended family and friends.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jo Mader officiating.

A tea will follow. INTERMENT will take place at Rockglen Cemetery, Rockglen, SK on Saturday, August 18, 2007.

Donations in Harry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.

Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.

Mr. William Pichler
January 21, 1935 - July 28, 2007

PICHLER – It is with profound sadness we announce Bill passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28th, 2007 at the age of 72 after a brief but courageous fight with cancer.

He is now with his Saviour whom he recently gave his heart and life too.

Bill was born in Cater, Saskatchewan on January 21st, 1935 where his life journey began.

He moved to Glenbush in 1938 and to Leroy in 1943 before settling in Saskatoon in 1970 with his wife Ileen.

Bill is survived by his wife Ileen; two daughters Johanna and Debbie; brother Douglas (Mary) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Hilda in 2005 and Edward in 1992.

Bill will be fondly remembered as a farmer, real estate agent, entrepreneur, land developer, family man and a good friend to everyone.

His sense of adventure took him and his family to many countries around the world.

He also spent much of his life in the trucking industry.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway tracks) with Pastor Marvin Wojda officiating.

Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

“Now that my life's work has ended and I cross the swelling tide to that bright and glorious morning, I shall see and I shall know my redeemer when I reach the other side.”

Flowers will be gratefully declined in lieu of donations to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 477-4400.

Mr. Romeo Quirion
October 7, 1931 - July 27, 2007

QUIRION – The passing of Romeo Joseph Alfred Quirion occurred at St. Paul’s Hospital, Friday, July 27th, 2007 at the age of 75.

He is survived by one son Romeo Klyne (Darla Baxter) and their children Rayah and Gabrielle; one daughter Christie Klyne (Jay Forrest); brothers Emanuel (Renee), Clement (Therese), Clermont (Micheline); sisters Claire (Marcel) Drouin, Florentine Quirion, Francine (Georges Emile) Faucher and numerous nieces and nephews.

Romeo was predeceased by his parents Romeo and Florence; nephew Bernard Quirion; brother-in-law Jules Quirion.

Romeo was born in Beauceville and raised in St. Georges De Beauce, Quebec, moved to Montreal, and later took residence in the Yukon where he drove truck and taxi for five years.

In 1969, he moved to Prince Albert and in 1973 started Romeo’s Trucking Ltd.

He continued logging until 1984 when he started long haul refrigerated trucking.

In 1985, he relocated to Saskatoon and expanded the business in 1988.

Romeo was dedicated to his business and family until his passing.

Romeo expressed the friends he made throughout the years in the trucking business were like family.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 1st, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway tracks) with Reverend Father McGee officiating.

Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Donations in Romeo’s memory may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan (1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK).

Arrangements are entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME, 477-4400.
