STOREY – Pauline Ann Storey passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 6, 2007. She was born in Lethbridge, AB on May 1st, 1919 and was married to Walter in 1943. She moved to Toronto with her husband, and then on to Saskatoon when he was posted in the Yukon. Walter, who was a carpenter and Pauline built their home on McPherson Avenue, digging the basement with shovels each evening after work. They resided there for 53 years. She did the bookkeeping for Storey Construction and was a great support in the business that her husband owned and operated. She was totally devoted to her husband and family and was proud of her home. Pauline was a meticulous seamstress who passed this love and skill of sewing on to her daughters. She taught them the art and craft of homemaking while nurturing their abilities in careers outside of their homes. Pauline was active in St. Joseph’s Church CWL, St. Joseph’s Home & School Association, and recently in St. Paul’s Cathedral Noon choir. She was a Youth Bowling Council (YBC) coach and was an avid five-pin bowler. She was active until her death, visiting daily with her friends and family. Pauline is survived by daughters Sandra (Wayne) Evans of Monroe, WA, and Cheryl (Bryan) Bock of Saskatoon; by her three grandsons Glenn (Djordjija) Evans of Kirkland WA, Patrick (Nicole) Evans of Redmond WA and Daniel Bock of Saskatoon; by three great-grandchildren Maja, Alexander and Danijela Evans of Kirkland; by sister Anne Keith and brother Steve Handerek both of Lethbridge, AB. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Walter in November 2005; by her parents Paul and Balbina Handerek, sisters Stephanie and Mary, brother Leo and grandson Karl Bock. Vigil for Pauline will be on Thursday, October 11th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Fr. Don Hamel celebrating. Both services will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Cathedral (720 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, SK). Rite of committal of cremated remains will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8) or charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME.
Frances Edison
July 8, 1928 - October 8, 2007
EDISON, Frances peacefully passed away on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her two sons Lance and Randy; grandchildren Linsey, Scott and Hillary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before the railway crossing). Maurice Lepine
April 8, 1931 - October 8, 2007
LEPINE, Maurice Joseph passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Maurice is survived by Helen, his wife of 46 years; children Paulette Lepine of Calgary, AB, George Lepine (Wanda Sakura) and their children Nicholas, Jonathan and Kathryn of Calgary, AB, Roger (Sheilagh) Lepine and their children Victoria, Robert, Jacob, Sarah and David of Calmar, AB, Claire Lepine (Gerald Priestley) of Eganville, ON, and Susan Lepine of Calgary, AB. Maurice is survived by his sisters Therese (Edward) Lacousiere, Florence Ball, Solange Benjamin; brothers Edward Lepine, Gerard (Frances) Lepine and numerous nieces and nephews. Maurice is predeceased by parents J.B. Leopold and Aldea; sisters Yolande and Estelle; brothers Aurelle, Albert and Raymond. Maurice was born April 8, 1931 in Marcelin, Saskatchewan where he attended school. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1958. Maurice had a long and fulfilling engineering career at Sask Power, Cominco and Key Lake. He always did his best to encourage others to reach their potential. We will all miss him. Many thanks to all who offered support to Maurice and our family. Thank you to St. Paul's Palliative Care, Dr. Card, Dr. Sheridan, and the staff of Plasmapheresis, Saskatchewan Bleeding Disorders, and the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic. A Vigil for Maurice will be on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Fr. Ken Beck celebrating. Both services will be held at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon, SK). Rite of committal of cremated remains will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in Maurice’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (101- 440 2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2C3). Arrangements have been entrusted to HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME.
Mr. Kenneth "Ken" Halford Miller
June 6, 1925 - October 11, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Ken Miller. He passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the age of 82 years.
Ken will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years Alice; four sons Marvin (Marlene), David, Jim (Diane) and Brian (Rhonda); six grandchildren Paul, Steven, Sarah, Katie, Hayley and Corey; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK with interment to follow in Regina Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Mrs. Laura Emery Lichstein
July 28, 1914 - October 12, 2007
Laura passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the age of 93 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry Lichstein; her first husband Kenneth Hall; her parents; seven sisters and one brother.
Laura will be lovingly remembered by her son Clayton (Margaret) Hall and their children Jamie (Teresa) Hall, Jackie (Pat) Nestman and Tracey (Alan) Kea; eight great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
At Laura’s request, there will be no funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held.
Donations in memory of Laura may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Gustie Dobra
May 22, 1917 - October 15, 2007
Gustie passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Regina Lutheran Home in Regina, SK.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 67 years, John; daughter Darlene (Jim) Frolick and their family David (Shelly), Lisa and Brian; son Gerry (Doreen) Dobra and their family Joette (Steve) Taylor and Jodee; son Ken (Sandra) Dobra and their family Jeremy and Ashley; great grandchildren Vanessa, Travis, Sarah, Jay, Alex and Aidan; brothers and sisters Anne (Ernie) Strong, Marie Van Ingen, Conn (Kay) Trofin, Jeannie Wirstiuck, Al (Lil) Trofin, Sam Trofin, Len Trofin, Sally Trofin, Vivian (Lloyd) Olson, Violet (Bill) Thompson and Fran Hulett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Gustie was predeceased by her parents Alex and Katrina Trofin and brothers Nick, Bill and Mack.
Gustie was born in Kayville, SK on May 22, 1917, the eldest of 15 children. Gustie will be remembered as a devoted wife, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker; neither family nor friends went without a delicious meal or a comfortable bed.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
Donations may be made in Gustie’s memory to the Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 5th Avenue North, Regina, SK S4R 7W1.
