Paul, a lifetime resident of Regina passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years on the morning of September 1, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
He was predeceased by his first wife Germaine (Dusterbeck) in 1960; brothers Adam and Frank and sister Millie (Schumacher) all of Regina.
Paul leaves to mourn his passing Elizabeth, his wife of 40 years; his son Robert (Hope) of Regina; his grandsons Danny (Chris) of Winnipeg and Neil (Gillian) of Regina and granddaughter Kelly of Calgary. He is also survived by his brothers Tony and John of Regina and sister Anne of Calgary.
A CELEBRATION OF PAUL'S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
The family sincerely thanks the staff of the Parkside Extendicare for their very kind and compassionate care of Paul. Flowers are gratefully declined.

Nick Ripplinger
March 11, 1924 - September 2, 2007
RIPPLINGER, Nick - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the age of 83 years at Luther Special Care Home on September 2, 2007. He left to mourn his wife Hilda of 62 years, daughter Brenda Klassen (Ben), son Michael, daughter-in-law Eilleen Ripplinger and two sisters. Nick was predeceased by his his eldest son Douglas, his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Left to share memories are five grandchildren, Lori Cain (Rod), Randy Klassen (Coralee), Darrin Klassen (Terri), Ryan and Curtis Ripplinger and five great-grandchildren, Miranda and Tori Cain, Brendon Klassen, Jarrod and Kyrra Klassen. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Luther Special Care Home for their kindness and support. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (east on 8th Street, turn right before the railway tracks). Mr. Thomas Eyre
January 13, 1927 - August 31, 2007
EYRE, Tom died peacefully in his sleep at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home after a long illness. Tom is survived by his loving wife Marlene; daughters Lynne and Leanne; sons Rob, Doug, Jim; son-in-law Doug and families; sister Louise and family and numerous relatives. Tom was predeceased by his daughter Lori; granddaughter Allison; his parents Thomas and Bertha. Tom was born and raised in Luseland, SK. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated from the College of Pharmacy in 1949. His career took him in many different directions from pharmaceutical rep, to hospital pharmacist to owning and operating his own pharmacies in Nipawin and Saskatoon and doing relief work for other pharmacists. Tom worked hard and long hours to provide a good life for his wife and children. Tom was very proud of his children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. At Tom’s request a funeral will not be held. A luncheon will be held on Tuesday, September 4th, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge for family and close friends. Donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Asthma Society of Canada or to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan (1231 Eighth Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5). Myrtle Davis
May 20, 1916 - August 31, 2007
DAVIS, Myrtle Elizabeth (Anderson) Davis passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 31, 2007. Myrtle was born on May 20, 1916 and met her love, Herb on May 24, 1937. They married two years later on June 25, 1939. Myrtle will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Herb; her children Bruce, Reid (Linda) and Lynn (Warren); her grandchildren Darryn, Curt (Kelly), Glenda (Dave) and Andrea (Cory); and her great-grandchildren Jordan, Erin, Derek, Ryan, Jason, Lindsay, Jacob, Joy and Marci. Myrtle was the embodiment of all any family could wish for in a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Happiness for Myrtle was winters in San Diego, golfing, entertaining, dancing, baking, and trips to the beauty salon. Her greatest joy in life was sharing time and laughter with her family. The last five years of Myrtle’s life were spent at Circle Drive Special Care Home where she was shown great love and care by their staff. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all staff members for the kindness shown to Myrtle and the entire family. The celebration of Myrtle’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 at McClure United Church (4025 Taylor Street, Saskatoon, SK) at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Myrtle’s memory can be made to Circle Drive Special Care Home (3055 Preston Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7T 1C3).

Annie Nikirk
April 11, 1923 - September 5, 2007
The passing of Annie Elizabeth Nikirk occurred at Stensrud Lodge on Wednesday, September 5th, 2007, at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her children Betty Anne Dvorak, Mary Mitchell, Darlene (Walter) Allen, Kathy (Dennis) Schell, Joe (Nancy) Nikirk, Gordon Nikirk, Lorna (Ian) Corbett; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two sisters Irene Bell (Alex), Elsie (Bill) Ulrich; three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband Roy; one son Edward; one grandson Miles; parents Bernard and Katherine Pernitsky; one brother Joseph; two sisters Cecilia and Aldia, two son-in-laws Patrick and Garth; nine brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and recently a very special sister-in-law Adele. Vigil for Annie will be held Sunday, September 9th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 10th, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Father Patrick Ampani celebrating. Both services will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church (18 – 33rd Street East). Rite of Committal will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donald Benson
February 6, 1920 - September 9, 2007
BENSON – It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of husband, father, grandfather, brother, Ronald Benson, age 87 of Saskatoon, SK., on Sunday, September 9th, 2007, at Royal University Hospital. Ronald is survived by Eleanor, his wife of 52 years; daughters Elaine, Linda (Boobyer), and Evelyn, all of Saskatoon. He is also survived by sister Kathleen Campbell of Vancouver, BC; son-in-law Jesse Boobyer of Saskatoon; grandchildren Cameron Benson of Vancouver, BC, Shawn, Michael and Samantha Boobyer, all of Saskatoon; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Ronald was predeceased by his parents Charlotte and George; sisters Marjorie and Helen; brothers-in-law Larry Merriam, John Hamilton; and sister-in-law Martha. Ronald was born February 6th, 1920 in the Phippen, SK., area and attended Nottawa School. He worked on the family farm and was a big fan of music, playing and singing in dance bands in his younger years. Ronald served in Canada and overseas during WWII as an electrician and mechanic with the Royal Canadian Air Force, stationed mainly in Saskatoon and Britain. Upon his return, he worked as an electrician in the North Battleford area, then at Sifto Salt in Unity before moving to Saskatoon. In 1975, he worked with PCA Potash Mine until his retirement in 1985. Restoring antique motorcycles and cars was Ronald’s passion throughout his leisure and retirement. He was a long time member of the Saskatoon Antique Auto Club and was very active in its activities. Although a stroke suffered in 2000 reduced some of his physical abilities, Ronald found creative and determining ways to continue his hobbies as much as he could. He was friendly, social and respectful to everyone he met along his journey, making many friends along the way. Viewing will take place on Thursday, September 13th, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 14th, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. also at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway crossing). Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (279 3rd Ave. North, Saskatoon, SK). Mr. Claude R. Dequier
November 27, 1973 - September 8, 2007
Claude R. Déquier, late of Regina, beloved husband of Angela, passed away tragically on Saturday, September 8, 2007 as the result of a motorcycle accident near Kenora, Ontario.
He was predeceased by his father Albert; grandparents Damase and Emma Déquier and Jos Robitaille; uncles Denis Robitaille and Gerry Cleutinx; cousin Gilles Déquier; father-in-law Albert Kayter; brother-in-law Barry McLennan and sister-in-law Diane Kayter.
Born November 27, 1973 in Swan Lake Manitoba, Claude was fun loving and full of life. He loved the challenges of life and the people he encountered along the way. His warm and outgoing nature endeared him to all that knew him and he will be sadly missed.
Claude is survived by his loving wife Angela; stepson Justin Kayter; mother Simone; brothers Réne (Nicole) Déquier, Maurice (Cindy) Déquier and Réal (Berrina) Déquier; grandmother Elise Robitaille; mother-in-law Joan Kayter; brothers-in-law Darrell (Marlene) Kayter and Mark Kayter; sisters-in-law Brenda McLennan, Karen (Bob) Lamb, Joanne (Brian) Mass, Yvette Kayter (Todd) and Jennifer Kayter (Lorraine); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Claude will also be greatly missed by numerous friends and colleagues.
PRAYERS will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 13, 2007 starting at 7:00 p.m.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 315 Douglas Avenue East, Regina, SK on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will also be held St. Malo Catholic Church, St. Malo, Manitoba on Tuesday, September 18, 2007.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Albert Déquier.
