Nellie Irene Olson of Moose Jaw, passed away September 29, 2010. Nellie is predeceased by her son, Bob, parents Art and Hettie Green, and brother Bob Green. She is survived by her husband, Leo; and her children: Dianne (Herb) Axten, Linda (Larry) Floer, Bonnie (David) Sheehan, Lochie (Cindy) Longhurst, Debrah (Pierre) Duval, and Les (Eileen) Olson; sisters, Marjorie Thornbury and Doreen Payne; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and special friend Jean Nurse. A private Family Graveside Service will be held at Rosedale Cemetery. Reverend Lynne Clarke will officiate. IRENE McPHERSON
Irene Margret (Jones) McPherson passed away at Moose Jaw's Pioneer Lodge, where she had resided for the last five years, on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the age of 95 years. She was born in Yorkton, Sask. on December 14, 1914 and was raised and educated at Elfros, Sask. Irene and Donald Angus McPherson of Wadena were married at Elfros on November 1, 1935 They farmed from the time they were married until 1953 when they moved to Aylsham, Sask. to operate the Co-op store. After many years at the Aylsham Co-op they semi-retired to British Columbia where Donald passed away in 1989, Irene was also predeceased by her only sibling, Edna, in 1977. In 1991 Irene moved to Moose Jaw and had lived here since. She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Sandra (Edgar) Brin, Moose Jaw; Gail (Douglas) Lewicki, Lethbridge; Douglas (Viola) McPherson, Regina; and Ross (Marlene) McPherson, Aylsham, SK. Irene is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pioneers Lodge, 1000 Albert St., Moose Jaw, S6H 2Y2. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. MAYNARD E. GRAY
MR. MAYNARD GRAY of Moose Jaw passed away Monday, March 15, 2010. He was born May 15, 1921 in Sylvania to Joshua and Josephine Gray. Maynard married Beverly Busby September 30, 1950. He worked for Patterson Motors for thirty-eight years and was a member of St. Andrew’s United Church AOTS. Predeceased by his parents, brothers: Gordon, Alan, Irvin, Stanley and his sister, Myrtle, Maynard is survived by his wife, Beverly, daughter Sharon (Daryl), sons: Gord (Melissa) and Blair (Marilyn); grandchildren: Jeff (Nicole), Jodi (Jeff), Meghan, Caitlyn, Allyson, Michelle (Kelly), Jesse and Carly (Kyle); great-grandchildren: Hanna, Layne, Jax and two sisters: Mona and Eleanor. In keeping with Maynard’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Moose Jaw Union Hospital and Extendicare Nursing Home during his short stay. MR. GARRY BRIGHAM passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the age of 64 years. Predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Audrey, sister, Gail, brothers, Wesley and Jim, and a niece, Angela, Garry is survived by his wife, Carol; children: Susan Hubrich (James Fox), Alan Schmegelsky, Cindy Schmegelsky, Michael Schmegelsky and Richard Schmegelsky; his grandchildren, brothers and sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate. BEVERLEY BRAWDY
BEVERLEY BRAWDY of Moose Jaw and formerly of the Tuxford district was called home by her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2009 at the age of 82 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of almost sixty years, Austin; her son, Dennis (Rebecca) and their families; daughter, Lynne and her family; her sisters, Iris and June, as well as nieces and nephews. Blaine McLennon, passed away on October 19, 2010 at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his mother and two brothers, all of Ontario. Blaine was a good neighbour and friend and his mechanical expertise with be missed. Cremation has taken place at his request, there will be no funeral service. Eleanor Mann, age 77 passed away peacefully in Saskatoon on November 7, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Oscar in 2005, she will be lovingly remembered by her six children: Caren; Larry (Karen), Jordan and Brendan; Gail (Sam), Jacob and Simon; Bruce (Kim), Alexandra, Joshua and Lucas; Brian (Laurie), Braeden, Keagan and Dawson; Heather (Don), Christopher, Brittany, Nathan, Haylee and Tanner and her sister Charlene (Lionel) Eberts and their families. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. KENNETH KLEVYER PIERCE
1927 -2009
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Kenneth Klevyer Pierce on Monday July 20, 2009. Ken was predeceased by his loving wife Bertha (2001), sister Dorothy, his daughter Lynda (El) Schantz, sons Danny (Vivian), Bob (Joan) and grandson Cody. Left to celebrate and carry on Ken’s legacy are his children: Dave (JoAnn), Carol (Raimo) Kujala, Pat (Pricilles), Kathie (Howard) Cordick, Mike (Jennifer), and Mark (Debbie), his many grandchildren, his brother Darold (Vi) and sister Shirley (Bernie) and many other relatives and friends. Born in Moose Jaw on January 20, 1927, Ken married Bertha and together they raised 9 children. Through his lifetime, Ken became skilled in many trades and was always willing to lend a hand. He also enjoyed going to dances and trips to Hawaii with Bertha, fishing at Long Lake and playing cards with all his friends and relatives. Ken will be sadly missed and forever remembered in our hearts. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Monday July 27, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ken’s epileptic great-grandson’s medical expenses, would be greatly appreciated. CLARK SPICER
ERNEST (CLARK) HARVEY SPICER passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, May 10, 2003, after a short battle with lung cancer. Clark was a musician with the Moose Jaw Junior Band and continued to play music his entire life as it was his first love. His second love was his work as a Plumber Gasfitter and worked until his passing. Predeceased by his father, Ernest Spicer, brother-in-law, Ron Nicholson and a nephew, Major Spicer. Clark is survived by mother, Helen, wife, Vicci, sister, Micky; brothers: Ken (Marlene) and Rick (Penni). Clark will be sadly missed by children: Darren (Linda), Brad, London, Shane, Allana, Samantha (Richard), Sabrina (Steve), Janetta, Summer and Skye-Amber; grandchildren: Shyla, Sheena, Chevy, Derek, Regan, Tiffany, Brandee, Rusty, Dekota, Austin, Justyce and Bobby; God-children: Juanita, Joseph and Garret, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Following cremation, A Celebration of Clark’s Life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 1:30 pm in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw.
