In loving memory of Lorne Allan Nelson, Moose Jaw, who passed away June 11, 2009 at age 58.
Lorne was born in Assiniboia, SK. on January 16, 1951.
He is predeceased by his father Ernest, and two brothers Donald and Albin.
Lorne is survived by his mother Roselda; four children: Wayne, Jody, Kim, and Rebecca; very special friend Heather; siblings Dorothy (Richard), Robert (Loretta), Jo Anne, Elaine (Mel); six grandchildren; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside Service was held at Sunset Cemetery.
Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated.
In living memory of Lorne, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
Byron Eldstrom

Byron Marvin Eldstrom of Moose Jaw passed away June 13, 2009, after a brief illness.
Byron was born in Moose Jaw on October 29, 1938.
He is predeceased by his parents Lester and Ella, brother Cal, and father-in-law Harold Davey.
Byron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gina; son Rick (Darlene) and sons Styles and Dallas; daughter Tannis (Ray) and son Jesse; brothers Arnold (Lynda) and Don (Joanne); mother-in-law Ruby Davey; and numerous nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.
Byron worked for many, many years at Redi-Mix until his retirement.
He then started his own gravel delivery business, retiring permanently in 2003.
Byron had a passion for his 1969 Sport Plymouth Fury and his 1949 Kaiser, showing them in many car shows and parades.
He loved vacationing in Hawaii and had made many trips before suffering a heart attack in 2003.
He was a member of the Anavets, Legion, and was a long time Warriors season ticket holder.
One of his latest pleasures was meeting the gang at Tim Horton’s every afternoon at three.
But his three brightest stars were his three grandsons, Styles, Jesse, and Dallas.
He enjoyed watching them play hockey and lacrosse, spending thousands of hours in a hockey rink.
The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 1:30 pm.
Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate.
Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, (Colorectal Cancer Fund), 455 Fairford St.E. Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3, or the Sask.
Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, would be appreciated.

John Jacob Thiele
May 16, 1920 - Jun 20, 2009
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
On June 20, 2009 John was reunited with God in his eternal home in Heaven.
Born in Bayard, Saskatchewan on May 16, 1920, he passed away at Extendicare in Moose Jaw.
Predeceased by his wife of 53 years Bertha in 2003; parents, Zacharias and Katherine, brothers, Otto, Zack and Frank, and sisters, Katie, Caroline, Annie and Mary.
John is survived by his son Peter (Kathy) and their child, Madison of Regina, brother Joe (Elizabeth), sister-in-law Vina Thiele and sister-in-law Augusta Thiele, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John graduated from the first grade 12 class in Spring Valley in 1937-38.
He continued his education with a six-month radio repair course, and in 1941 he joined the RCAF as a radar mechanic.
Stationed in southern England for over three years, John maintained the ‘Night Fighter’, radar-tracking equipment.
Later on, he changed to navigational radar.
After the War, John held a variety of jobs: the Liquor Store in Spring Valley, CKRM, CKCK-TV, Eaton’s and Sears in Regina, CFRA in Flin Flon.
John married Bertha Machmer in 1950.
In 1956 John and Bertha were blessed with a son, Peter.
The family returned to Spring Valley in 1964 where John became the secretary-treasurer of the RM of Terrell and the Village of Spring Valley.
John was heavily involved in community organizations: the Oro Lake Park Board, the Artesian School Board, the Spring Valley and District Recreation Board and the Lutheran Church Board.
John helped organize the 1980 Homecoming and was instrumental in organizing the Terrell History Book.
John retired in 1984 and he and Bertha remained in Spring Valley for a number of years and later they moved to Moose Jaw were they spent their final years together.
He and Bertha were able to take many trips together and see many parts of the world and truly enjoyed life together.
John loved to read and sing and especially enjoyed conversation with all those he met during his lifetime.
The Worship Service to celebrate God’s gift of John’s life will be held on Thursday June 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (9th Ave. N.W., ½ km south of Trans Canada Hwy., Moose Jaw) with Reverend John Kreutzweiser officiating.
Interment will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Valley, Saskatchewan at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Isabelle Wilkinson

Isabelle passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at the Union Hospital, Moose Jaw early Monday, June 22 at the age of 86 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Robert; sons Stewart (Marianne), Keith (Carol), Russell (Robyn); daughters Mary (Robert Frizzell) and Rennie (Peter Bishop); grandchildren Kerri (Spencer), David (Natalie), Lana (Jean-Luc), Travis (Shyla), Brandon (Colleen), Jordan, and Ryan; and great-grandchildren Lily, Avery, Lyra, Justin, and Elliot.
She is also survived by her brother Vernon (Ky) Young and sister Mary (John) Price, and many loving nieces and nephews.
The Memorial Service will be held at Zion United Church, 423 Main Street N, Moose Jaw Friday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m.
Rev. Dr. Jack Bray will officiate.
Memorialization will take place privately at Rosedale Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Union Hospital, including Dr. G. B. Miller and Dr. F. S. Majid.
