DR. GALE THOMAS GLENN
Gale passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2003. The world was made a brighter place on April 30, 1929 when Gale Thomas Glenn was born in Regina, Sask. A son to Thomas and Lois Glenn and a baby brother to help keep big brother Ken in line. He grew up on the Glenn homestead near Milestone, Sask. where he completed his elementary and high school education. His life was filled with music from the beginning and he completed his music teacher degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1949. After high school, he attended York University in Toronto completing an Arts Degree. This was followed by completion of his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1955. Gale then returned to his prairie roots and joined the Glenn Chiropractic Clinic, in partnership with his brother Ken, in Moose Jaw. He practiced here for 42 years, touching many people’s lives with his skills, his genuine compassion and his heart warming smile. Gale was a great asset to the community as he was involved in a wide variety of organizations. He was a former member of the YM-YWCA Physical Education committee; the Y’s Men’s Club; former member of the Zion AOTS Glee Club; and was the first chairman of the Y’s men’s church hockey; as well as organist of St. George Masonic Lodge. His world was made complete when he married his soul-mate and best friend, Muriel on August 20, 1969 in Regina. He had a great love of life and laughter and enjoyed many things, but music most of all. It was through music that he met his “chosen” grandchildren, James, Ben and Rebecca Coghlin of Assiniboia. Gale loved to tease anyone at any time and had a wonderful sense of humour. His laughter was as much a part of him as was his mischievous smile. Gale is predeceased by his parents Thomas C.
