James Elmer (Mike) Kervin

March 17, 2001

James Elmer (Mike) Kervin, 82, of Keillor St., Moncton passed away at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont Hospital on Saturday March 17,2001. Born in Moncton, Mike was the son of the late Michael and Anna (O’Hara) Kervin.

Mike was a retired C.N.R. Locomotive Engineer with over thirty-five years service, member of Moncton Legion Branch #6, CN Pensioners Assoc, The Sea Forth Highlanders Vancouver Regiment Assoc and a veteran of the second World War, served overseas for five years with the Sea Forth Highlands Regiment.

Mike will be sadly missed by his wife of Fifty-Four years, Dorothy (Dot) (Middleton) Kervin, Sons; Ronald (Debra), Peterborough, ON, Donald (Kaye), Moncton, The Rev. Dr. William (Bill) (Linda Huestis), Toronto, ON, Grandchildren; Jocelyn, David, Devin, Matthew, Andrew, Sisters; Alice Murray, Dieppe, Agnes Delano, Miramichi, Frances Steeves (Harold), Connie King (Gerald), Moncton, Marion Kervin, Burlington, ON, Jean Harrison (Laurie), Port Hope BC, Several Nieces and Nephews.

Predeceased by Brothers; John (Bob), Norman, Sister Evelyn.

Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (858-1995). Visitation Tuesday 2-4,7-9, Moncton Legion Memorial service Tuesday 7 pm. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday March 21,2001, 1:30 pm, Rev. Winston Parks officiating, reception following the service, interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

Ethel Lewis

Ethel J. Lewis, 73, of Canaan Station, Passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Friday March 30,2001. Born in Canaan Station, Ethel was the daughter of the Late George and Ethel (Stewart) Gallagher.

Ethel was a member of Byron Memorial United Baptist Church, life member of the W.M.S., long time Sunday school teacher and served her church in various other positions in the past years. She enjoyed quilting and knitting and was an avid camper.

Ethel will be sadly missed by her husband of forty seven years Emery Lewis, Daughter; Sharlyn Ward (Fred), Birch Ridge, Gail Gaudet (Paul), Elaine Lewis, Canaan Station, Carolyn Gaudet (Mike), St. Paul, Sons; Garnet (Ellen), Canaan Station, Richard (Karen), Moncton, Blaine (Cindy), St. Paul, Twenty Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, Brother Carlyle (Buster) Gallagher (Eileen), Canaan Station, Several Nieces and Nephews.

Predeceased by Sisters; Beatrice, Bessie, Ada, Brothers; Eddie, Tobert, Earl, Cliff.

Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton, Visitation Sunday 2-4, Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday April 2,2002, 1:30 pm, Rev. David Young Officiating, Interment in Lone Pine Cemetery, Canaan Station.

Barbara E. Lutes

Barbara E. Lutes 61, of Cumberland Bay and formerly of Lutes Mountain, passed away in Moncton on Tuesday April 3,2001. Born in Sunny Brae, Barbara was the daughter of Earl P. Jones of Clairville and the late Maude (Hutchinson) Jones.

Barbara was a retired hair dresser, member of Hillside United Baptist Church and former member of the Cumberland bay United Baptist Church, member of the W,M,S, and life member of the UBWMU.

Besides her father, Barbara will be sadly missed by her sons; Allan, Moncton, Irvin (Donna), Lutes Mountain, Winston (Leona), Midland, Grandchildren; Amanda, Justin, Marcy, Miranda, Brothers; Carl Jones (Helen), Bill Jones (Maureen), Clairville, Ron (Mae), Fitchburg, Mass, Ray (Margie), Lutes Mountain, Special Friend, Ron W. Cole, Cumberland Bay, Several Nieces and Nephews.

Predeceased by her Husband Wayne R. Lutes (1991), Brothers; Allan, Jim.

Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton. No Visitation by family request, memorial service at Hillside United Baptist Church, Thursday April 5,2001, 11 am, Rev. Jerry Reddy officiating. Interment in Horsman Cemetery, Lutes Mountain.

John K. McConnell

John K. McConnell, 86, of Anemone St , Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday March 28,2001. Born in Moncton, John was the son of the late John and Sarah (Fram) McConnell.

John was a retired foreman at CO-OP Feed Dept. with thirty-two years of service and was a member of Hillside United Baptist Church.

John will be sadly missed by his wife of sixty-four years Maudie (Chappell) McConnell, Daughters; Joyce Johnson (Reg), Karen Hamilton (Chester), Moncton, Nedra Hamilton (Reg), Milford, NS, Son Edward (Bud) (Kathleen), Moncton, 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.

John was the last surviving member of his immediate family, predeceased by nine Brothers and Sisters.

Ruth E. McCready

Ruth E. McCready, 83 of McNair Manor and formerly of Cameron St., Moncton, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday March 24,2001. Born in Shannon, Ruth was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (McCrea) McCready.

Ruth was a retired schoolteacher having taught at various schools in NB from 1940-75. She received her early education in Shannon, Fredericton High School and Provincial Normal School in Fredericton. She was a member of the Shannon United Baptist Church and an adherent of First United Baptist Church, Moncton. Former member of the Flora Clarke W.M.S. and the Gullison Missionary group and a member of the Moncton Retired Teachers assoc.

Ruth is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters; Margaret Golding, Marion McCready, Elizabeth Duncan Richardson, Brothers; Harold, Robert. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Doris E. McIver, 78, of Edgewood Dr., Moncton passed away at her residence on Wednesday March 28,2001. Born in Sackville, Doris was the daughter of the late Parlee and Electra (Lettie) (Maxwell) Ward.

Doris was a former employee of Lockhart’s Lumber, Moncton Lumber, T. Eaton Co Ltd and Sears Catalogue. She was a member of the First United Baptist Church and a former Girl Guide Leader at Lewisville United Baptist Church.

Doris will be sadly missed by her Husband of Forty-Nine years Donald (Don) M. McIver, Daugher Janis Collette-Durie (Ray), Provo, Turks and Caicos, Sons; David (Kim), Dartmouth, NS, Peter, River Hebert, NS, Grandsons; Max, Spencer, Sister Ada Michailoff, Scarborough, ON, Brother Arlie Ward, Sackville, Several Nieces and Nephews.

Predeceased by infant Sister, Brothers Harold and George.

Anne O. Spencer 84, of McKees Mills passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday April 11, 2001.

Born in Moncton, Anne was the daughter of the late Corey and Jane (Ward) Hicks.

Anne was a former employee of The T. Eaton Co. Ltd. With 25 years service, member of McKees Mills United Baptist Church and the W.M.S.

Anne will be sadly missed by her daughter Eileen Hicks(Dwayne) McKees Mills. Grandchildren, David, Vancouver, BC. Kevin, McKees Mills. Kim Savoie(Vince) McKees Mills.Great Grandchildren, Devan, Joeleen. Sister, Nina Crandall, Moncton. Brothers, Jack Hicks(Marion), Delbert Hicks(Maisie),McKees Mills. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Predeceased by her 1st husband Cecil Bannister(1987) 2nd husband Gerald Spencer(April 8, 2001), sisters, Alberta(Bertie), Jean: Brothers, Percy, Marnier, Lawrence.
