Music Educator, Organist & Dedicated Volunteer Peacefully in hospital on Sunday, February 8, 2004. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Sawtell) and loving father of Eugene (Barbara), Holly (Bruce McCubbin), Gwen Chatelain, Leeroy (Brenda) and Neill. Dear grandfather of Gillies McCubbin, Colleen McCubbin and Alexis Earl. He is also survived by sisters Laura Douglas (Walter) and Reta Dunbar. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service will be held at McLeod Stewarton United Church, 507 Bank Street (at Argyle) on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.

Peacefully, in hospital, on February 1, 2004, Ernie passed away at the age of 92. Beloved husband, for 55 years, of the late Fernande (Vachon); loving father of Richard, LGen (ret'd) (Th r se Valiquette) of Ottawa, Nicky Nash (late Phil) of Gatineau, and Paul, Q.C., of Toronto; very dear and special friend of Lois Steen; loved Grampy of Carrie (Bruce Snider), Laurie (Mark Poulin), and Tim Nash; great grandfather of Gregory, Emma, Jacob, Maxwell, Joey and Grace; predeceased by his son, Roger and brother Bill; he is survived by his sister Estelle Ellis, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Frank Evraire of Ottawa. There will be no visitation. Friends may offer their condolences to the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at Notre-Dame Cathedral at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception at the Cathedral. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue, Ottawa, on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment Jewish Community cemetery , Bank Street, Ottawa. The Descaries-Gour family with sadness announce the death of Laura Gour (nee Descaries), on February 11, 2004. Laura Descaries was born at Ottawa in 1912; she was the daughter of the late Marie-Laure Groulx and the late L opold Descaries; and sister of Liliane arid the late Annette and the late Ubald. In 1934 she married Edmond Gour, Dad, who passed away In 1989. Mother of Roland, Lucien, Claire, Fran oise (Jacques Bernard Lagroix), Paulette (Richard Proulx) and mother-in-law of Charlotte Gour. Cherished grandmother of Andr Lacasse (Daniele Racine) Nathalie Skof; Marc Andrews (Anne-Marie Beaulieu); Roch arid Roxanne Gour (Antoine Bernier); Jos e Lagroix-Scott (Steve Scott); Chantale Lagroix- L Heureux (Daniel L Heureux) St phane Proulx (Nancy Rogg) and Pascal Proulx. Loving great-grandmother of Nicole and Matthias Skof; Martin and Justin Lacasse; Eric, Laura and Channelle Andrews; Michelle and Vanessa Scott; Dominic L Heureux; Danielle and Anick Bernjer; and soon-to-be born Leah Rogg-Proulx. Laura was a member of L Association des Oblats de Marie, and her passion was genealogy research. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Outreach Program for their compassionate care. In memoriam donations may be given to the Palliative Outreach Program. Friends may visit at the St Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Friday, February 13, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish, 1359 Chatelain Avenue on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 10 a.m. Interment Notre Dame cemetery.

A Past Master and Life Member of Hemmingford Masonic Lodge #72, G.R.Q., Past President of Royal Canadian Legion #11 and Member of Orleans Legion #632. No visitation by request. Dear mother-in-law of Marlene Hewitt and May Hewitt. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Tanya), Greg and Laura. Loving great grandmother of Ashley and Lauren. Dear aunt of Gerald Buchanan (Susan). Predeceased by 4 sisters and one brother. Special thanks to the caring staff of 1 North at Starwood. WWII Veteran Life Member Manotick Legion Br. 314 Charter Member Trinity United Church Member Of L.O.L for 55 years passed away peacefully at West End Villa on Monday, February 2, 2004 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Viola (nee Long). Dear father of Richard (Angela), Ronald (Dawn) and Karen (Ken MacKay). Proud grandfather of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents William Hovey and Mabel Taylor of Osgoode and his brother Clarence (Chuck) of Niagara Falls. Survived by sister Alice Cassidy and brothers Harry (Evelyn) and Arnold (Hazel) all of Ottawa and sister-in-law Jennie of Niagara Falls. At Harold's request there will be no visitation. Cremation will be followed by a private burial at Merivale cemetery. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at Trinity United Church, 1099 Maitland Avenue on Friday, February 6 at 11am. In his memory, donations may be made to Trintiy United Church or to the charity of choice. Arrangements by the Memorial Funeral Home of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.

Vola Audrey Inniss (nee Brooks) - 02/06/2004

Peacefully in Ottawa on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 in her 87th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Leonard Inniss. Loving mother of Bert of Barbados, West Indies, Rose-Marie Fernandes of Toronto, Roland (Didi) of Ottawa and Ian (Bea) of Brockville. Also loved by her eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ina Jordan of Barbados, West Indies. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 from 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 11 at 11am. Interment Beechwood cemetery. Loving mother of James (Sandy) Walker (Pat) of Ottawa, Janet Walker of St. Petersburg, Florida and Bonnie (Dr. Tom Downs) of Claremont, New Hampshire and extended family Ann Playfair-Prasloski (Dr. Peter), the late Joan (Dr. Alex Graham) and Charles Jeffrey (Nicole). Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by her dear sister Merle Ainslie of Ottawa. Predeceased by her brother Lorne Armstrong. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Friday, January 30, 2004, after 10am until service time in the chapel at 11am.
