Following his retirement from the Navy, he served in Marine Pilotage with the Department of Transport. Harry was a long time member of the Britannia Yacht Club and the Naval Officers’ Association of Canada. He enjoyed playing bridge and curling. He will be fondly remembered by his niece Kit Davidson and nephew Jeff Davidson of Vancouver, as well as by his cousins in the United States, Julia Falkner-Tompkins and Philippa Schwendimann. An avid sailer, tennis player and curler, he will be deeply missed by his many teammates and friends, in particular, at the Britannia Yacht Club. The Family wishes to thank the medical staff at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for their heroic commitment and compassionate care. On Thursday May 24th there will be visitation from 2pm to 4pm, followed immediately by a funeral service.
