LEWIS, Terry -
In his 81st year. At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday July 9th, 2002. Beloved husband & best friend of Nancy Lewis for the past 26 years. Dear step-father of Paul & his wife Cathi, Randy & his wife Lucie, Christopher, Julia & her partner Mike, Michelle & her husband Ian. He will be sadly missed by all his grandchildren. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville one hour prior to Service. Funeral Service will be held in our Chapel 11am Friday. Interment to follow in Bowmanville cemetery. Donations made to Bowmanville Hospital would be appreciated by Terry's family.

MATSUMOTO, Dick "YOJI" -
passed away on July 9, 2002 in his 84th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Emi. Loving father of Nelson and wife Winara. Cherished grandad of Jonathan. Sadly missed by sister Yosh and brother Archie. Predeceased by brothers Roy, Saki, Ritz, Joe and Tom. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston, Pickering Village, Ajax on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A service of remembrance will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 3pm. Cremation.

RICHARD, Edward Joseph -
(City of Toronto employee and President of Emergency Plus). Sadly, on July 9, 2002, following a lone and courageous battle with cancer. An extremely loving, caring, special young man, passed away at the age of 40. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving wife Karen and 2 wonderful children Trevor and Danielle. Also survived by his step-father Robert Lane and step-mother Doris of Edmonton; his 4 brothers Edward, Norman, John and Robert; his 3 sisters Anne, Marie and Roberta; his in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Sam Szlagowski; and numerous relatives and friends. Friends and family may call at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, after 3 p.m. Sunday. A memorial service to celebrate Edward’s life will be held at 4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

RUPERT, Sterling (Joe) -
(Retired GM employee). Suddenly while on vacation in B.C. on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, in his 65th year. Joe, loving partner of Donna Griffin of Newcastle. Cherished Dad of Paula Croft and her husband Jason of Colborne. Papa of his much-loved granddaughter Vanessa. Dear brother of Alvin Wilson, Bill, Jack, and Archie (Mick) Rupert, and predeceased by several other brothers. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Saturday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m., and friends may call for two hours prior to the service. Donations in Joe’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated by his family.

Died suddenly in Bowmanville on Tuesday July 9, 2002. Loving son of Don Wannamaker and Freda Wannamaker-Keetch. Beloved father of Jamie Lynn Wannamaker, David Wannamaker, Adam Wannamaker and grandfather of Drake Duval-Wannamaker. Dear brother of Lee-Ann Wannamaker. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Monday July 15, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment MOUNT LAWN Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Loving father of Allen, Arden, Jim, Gord, Sharon, and Lee. Dear Grandfather of Courtice, Cheryl, Leslie, Jordan, Cole, Matthew, Andrea, Gordie, Natalie, Sarah, Elliot, and Elizabeth. Fondly remembered by Phyllis. Weir will be sadly missed by all of his friends and family. Loving father of Keith and his wife Joyce Mulligan of California, Ronald Mulligan of Calgary; Alberta, Ruth and her husband Robert DeForest of Georgia. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, David, Darla, Darrell, Debbie, Carol, Paul, Kari, Robert, great grandchildren Victoria, Christopher, Brandon, Chad, Trent, Brent. Brother of Gladys Smith and Elva Wade both of Ottawa. Predeceased by 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Sunday, July 14, 2002. Loving mother of Gary and Wayne. Margaret was also cherished by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brother John (Leggat) and sister Elizabeth (Hawkins). She will be sadly missed by her sister Evelyn (Christie) and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Dillon Fred Peter Telenko, and Nikita Dawn May Telenko. Brother of Peggy Fraser of Long Island, N.Y., Dianne and her husband Ervin Hein of St. Thomas, Ont., and the late Megan Locke, Weston Canning, and Reginald Canning. Brother-in-law of Hope Knapman of Halifax, Doris Dewling of Scarborough, Penny Milne of Toronto, Eugene Moss of Grand Falls, Nfld., Wayne Moss of Gander, Nfld., Linda Howlett of Pickering, and the late Clary Moss of Gander, Nfld.
