MACDOWELL - O'Lena Andrea. On November 17, 1997, Mrs. O'Lena MacDowell of Westlock, passed away at the age of 91 years. She was born O'Lena Martinusen on October 1, 1906 in Airdrie, Alberta. She is survived by one son Gary James (Audrey) MacDowell of Willow River, B.C.; one daughter Linda (Romeo) Futoransky of Dapp; four grandchildren, Valerie Kerik of Calgary, Rick (Carey) Mueller of Westlock, Christopher Futoransky of Dapp, and Paula Futoransky of Westlock; one sister-in-law Gladys Martinusen of Cochrane; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jim MacDowell, one brother Milo Martinesun, three sisters, Frances Manning, Agnes Bowhay and Alice Anderson. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Westlock, with Pastor Rod McFarlane officiating. Interment of ashes to follow in the Dapp Cemetery. Donations gratefully accepted to the Westlock Healthcare Centre Equipment Fund c/o 10004 - 105 Street, Westlock, Alberta T7P 1V2. MACFARLAN - Ann Cameron Macfarlan passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on July 12, 1997 at the age of 97 years. Ann was born on August 23, 1899 in Dumbarton, Scotland and moved to Calgary with her family in 1913, where she resided since then. Ann was above all a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be most sadly missed by her daughters, Jean and Christina; her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Robin and grandson Ward, all of Calgary; grandson Neil of Vancouver B.C.; and great-grandsons, Ian and Jeff of Mission, B.C. She is also survived by her sister Helen (Jim) Field; and nieces, Helen (Ed) Griedanus and Melva Hurcombe, all of Vancouver. Ann was predeceased by her husband Edward Parlan Macfarlan and her son Donald. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.), Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lorraine Hartry officiating. ROBB - Duffus "Buster" Robb, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 1997 at the age of 52 years. Buster will be sadly missed by his loving wife Evelyn; daughters, Jocelyn Robb (and fiance John) and Lisa Robb; grandson Anthony; mother Irene; four brothers and six sisters. Buster will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, June 10, 1997 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Prayers will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. at Pierson's Funeral Home, 4121 - 17 Avenue S.E., Calgary. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 1525 - 45 Street S.E., Calgary. Buster will be laid to rest in the Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in care of PIERSON'S FUNERAL SERVICE. (6/9/1997).

ROBBINS - Vincent Lawrence (Scouter Vince) Robbins, beloved husband of Isabel Robbins of Calgary, passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on Saturday, November 22, 1997 at the age of 82 years. Vince was born on July 11, 1915 in Powell River, B.C. He graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto. On February 6, 1954 he married Isabel. They lived in Edmonton from 1959 to 1967 until moving to Calgary. Vince was employed with Gulf Canada Resources as an Engineer and Geologist from 1956 to 1981. He served overseas in World War II and became a captain attached to the Canadian Corp of Signals (Publics Relations Group). Vince devoted a huge amount of time and resources to the Scouting movement in Calgary at the regional level giving most of his efforts to 63 St. Pius, 107 St. David's and Canadian Martyrs'; he was also involved with the Army Cadet Corps in Sherwood Park and Turner Valley, Alberta. He enjoyed reading, classical music, traveling throughout the world, camping, teaching, learning and spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife, Vince is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Karen of Bawlf, Alberta; and three grandchildren, Kenton, Christopher and Sheldon. He was predeceased by his daughter Kathy. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Crowfoot Chapel" (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), today, November 25, 1997 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyr's Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.), on Wednesday, November 26, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon F. Kennedy, C.S.B. Celebrant. Thanks to all the staff at the Foothills Hospital and the Agape Manor Hospice for providing care in his final weeks. In living memory of Vince Robbins, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Crowfoot Chapel", 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W. (11/25/1997).

ROBERTS - Mrs. Hazel G. Roberts passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre on Thursday, December 4, 1997 at the age of 103 years. Hazel is survived by one daughter, one grandson, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. A Memorial Service will beheld in the main Chapel at the Bethany Care Centre, 916 - 18A Street N.W., Calgary, AB on Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements and Cremation entrusted to PERSONAL ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL SERVICES, 7016 Farrell Road S.E. (12/8/1997).

ROBERTSON - Mrs. Isabella Wilson Robertson of Black Diamond, Alberta, passed away on December 14, 1997 at the age of 81 years, beloved mother of Marlene (Gordon) Goss, Okotoks and Betty Stewart, Turner Valley. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robertson was predeceased by her husband William in 1952, her son Allan in 1993, sisters, Margaret Wharry in 1987 and Agnes Christie in 1981.Born in Calgary, Mrs. Robertson had resided in Black Diamond since 1937. Funeral Serviceswill be held at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2Street S.W.) on Thursday, December 18, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Leyden's "Bow Valley Crematorium". In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Second Floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta T2G 1A2 or the charity of your choice. ROBINS - Earl Spencer Robins, beloved husband of Mrs. Cynthia Robins of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, November 5, 1997 at the age of 77 years. Earl was born in Griffin, Saskatchewan on May 19, 1920. He served overseas with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in World War II. Besides his loving wife Cynthia, Earl is survived by his three children, Rob and his wife Gail, Gale Breen and her husband Bill, and Craig and his wife Penny, all of Calgary; six grandchildren, Robbie and Stacey Robins, Allison and Lorna Breen, and Dean and Ian Robins. He is also survived by his brothers, Jack Robins of Chase, BC, Douglas Robins of Medicine Hat, Don Robins of Edmonton; and his sisters, Peg Demosky of Chase, BC, and Marilyn Muir of Cayley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by his son Alex and his sister Olive. A private family Service will be conducted at a later date in the Chapel at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. S. J. Stewart officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2G 3Y6. In living memory of Earl Robins, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Park Memorial Chapel", 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W., CALGARY. (11/6/1997).

WILSON - Jordan Scott Wilson, beloved baby boy of Christine Pezarro and Todd Wilson, was born still on September 30, 1997. He is dearly missed by his parents, his brothers, Tyler and Luke Wilson; his grandparents, Virginia Wilson, and Theo and Hilda Pezarro; his uncles, Scott Wilson, Mark Pezarro and Tim Pezarro; his aunt Janet Pezarro; spouses of his uncles and aunt, and numerous cousins. A Private Funeral Service will be held on October 10, 1997. The Wilson family wishes to extend special thanks to Doctor Janet Rogers for her needed help and support during the delivery. Also, special thanks goes to Dr. Mainprize, nurse Alana Wall and other nursing staff on Unit 52 at the Foothills Hospital for their kindness and support.
