- Shop now for incredible insights into your wellbeing -TOWNSON - Sharee Townson, beloved wife and best friend of Fred; devoted and loving mother of Ryan, Jennifer and Krista; cherished daughter of Frank and Myrna Marcinowski; and wonderful sister of Dave Marcinowski (Carol) and Bev Hourie (Jack), passed awaysuddenly at Foothills Hospital on December 5, 1997 at the age of 40 years. Predeceased by her grandparents, John and Kathryn Marcinowski, Douglas Mitchell and Thelma Barrett, Sharee is also survived by her grandmother Elma Mitchell; and numerous other relatives, especially Marilyn McCauley. TRAPTOW - Mrs. Freda Clara Traptow joined her husband Herb with our Lord on September 8, 1997 at the age of 81 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Myrna (Hank) Edmunds of Ponoka, and Sharon (Bob) Hainsworth of Delburne; and her son Rodney (June) Traptow of Red Deer; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herb, and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Bashaw on Wednesday, September 10, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. TRIFAUX - Marguerite Louise Trifaux, beloved wife for the past sixty-four years of Rene, passed away October 1, 1997 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 85 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Marguerite is the loving mother of Rene (Pat) of Calgary, Jack (Cathy) of Invermere, B.C., and Roslyn of Calgary; twelve grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Augustine in Belgium and Mary Jose in South Africa. WONG - Mrs. Pearline Wong (nee Lyn), beloved wife of Mr. Edward Wong of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on December 29, 1997, after a short illness, at the age of 76years. Pearline was born February 17, 1921 in Jamaica, West Indies. She immigrated to Miami, Florida and then settled in Calgary, Alberta. Besides her loving husband Edward Wong, Pearline is also survived by her children, Tony, Michael, Sonia (Chin), Wayne, and Helen (Fong); thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandchild; plus numerous family and friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Jamaica. WOOD - Wilfred L. passed away at M.S.A. Hospital in Abbotsford, B.C. on June 19, 1997 at 82 years of age. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marjorie; and his daughter Carol Legge; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters of Calgary. He worked at CP Rail in Ogden Shop for forty-six years before retiring to Aldergrove, B.C. Cremation was at the First Memorial Funeral Services in Aldergrove (6/28/1997).
SEGAL - Hyman Isipore (Hye), beloved husband of Minnie of Cathedral City, California, passed away suddenly at the Desert Hospital, Palm Springs, on May 24, 1997 at the age of 73. Besides his loving wife, Hye is survived by three sons and two daughters. He is the loving father of Perla of Sidney, B.C., Nathan of Vancouver, B.C., Golda-Miriam of Oslo, Norway, Perry of Los Angeles, CA, Jamie of Moose Jaw, Sask.; one grandchild Jennifer and husband Alex. He is also survived by his mother Rebecca; sister Gertie Gross and husband Sam; his brother Harold and wife Val, his brother Jerry; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Joseph and his sister Marjorie. Hye was a jeweller-watchmaker for forty-two years, twenty of which were spent in Calgary as owner of Classic Jewellers Ltd. In 1973 he was voted Jeweller of the Year for Alberta and B.C. While in Calgary he was a member of the Beth Israel Synagogue, B'nai B'rith and the Jewish War Veterans Association. He had a pair of talented hands and he was willing to help anyone who needed him. He was a regular Mr. Fixit. Wherever he lived, he always left things better than he received them. To all of us he was a true and loyal friend. We will miss him. Funeral Services were held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1702 - 17 Avenue S.W. on Thursday, May 29, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at Erlton Street Cemetery, Erlton Street and 30 Avenue S.W. SEIDEL - Mrs. Marjorie Jean Seidel (nee West) of Calgary, passed away peacefully into God's loving hands on Tuesday, December 9, 1997, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the the age of 57 years. Born August 21, 1940 in Cranbrook, B.C., she married Gilbert Seidel and moved to Calgary in 1962. She is survived by her loving husband Gilbert; her three daughters, Karen and special friend Dan McLafferty, Jean and Michael Seymour, and Linda; her three grandchildren, Allyson, Matthew and Lindsay Seymour; her brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Lynn West; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. MACDONALD - Mrs. Eleanor Janie MacDonald of Calgary, passed away at the Forest Grove Care Centre on July 20, 1997, at the age of 90 years. Janie was born January 4, 1907 in Nova Scotia. As a child she moved to Bankhead, Alberta, then to Bellevue and to Calgary in 1940. Janie is survived by a son Les, and a daughter Laura Smith, both of Calgary; two granddaughters, Dawn Cadeau and Kerry Dvorkin; and two great-grandsons, Travis Cadeau and Courtney Dvorkin. She was predeceased by her husband Eddy on June 23, 1990, and a son Donald Arthur in January, 1984.
