HALL - Marion Hall passed away quietly at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, Parry Sound, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 24, 1997. Beloved wife of fifty-three years to Victor of McKellar, Ontario. Dear mother of Deborah and her husband Darcy Cashmore of Niagara Falls, Shirley and her husband Mike Considine of Simco, Rick and his wife Joanne Hall and Dorothy Anne Hall of Calgary. Lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. "You are in the hands of our Lord now Mom." A Memorial Service is to be held at Fish Creek Park Sunday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated (7/8/1997).

HALLIBURN - Conchita Teresa Francisco Halliburn, passed away at her residence on June 15, 1997 at the age of 63 years. Wife and caring mom to Tom; and her eight babies, Tina, Bobbie, Stephen, Dana, Lynette, Kim, Ricky, and Nina; twenty-five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her only sister Adrianna. Mom will be missed by all the people she touched as a friend, aunt, grandma, mother and wife. Mom will continue to live within each one of us. Her battle with cancer was long and courageous. Paradise is now even brighter because of her contribution. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Fish Creek Chapel" (14441 Bannister Road S.E.), on Friday, June 20, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. In living memory of Conchita Halliburn, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Fish Creek Chapel", 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E., CALGARY. ZIEGLER - Elizabeth, passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre in Calgary on June 9, 1997 at the age of 91 years. Elizabeth leaves to mourn, her son Earland (Shirley) Ziegler; her daughter Maxine Ryan; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; her half-brother Wesley Bettcher; and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by husband George in October of 1985, and her siblings, Ernest, William, Ruth, and Anita. The family also mourns the tragic loss of Maxine's husband David Ryan at this time. Elizabeth was a self-taught sewer and helped with the raising of her brothers and sisters. She was always willing to help with any sewing or craft project. The family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the staff of the Bethany Care Centre for looking after Mama. Funeral Services will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES, Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., on Friday, June 13, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial tributes to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2G 3Y6 would be appreciated by the family. At FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES (Garden Chapel) annual Christmas Candlelight Memorial Service, an "Ornamental Dove" will be dedicated in memory of Elizabeth. HALSTEAD - Mrs. Celia Mildred. On Saturday, October 25, 1997 Mrs. Celia Halstead of Drayton Valley, formerly of Calgary, passed away at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving daughter, Mildred Jones of Drayton Valley; three grandchildren, Patricia (Calvin) Nixon of Spruce Grove, Susan (Clayton) Hines of Rocky Rapids, Brent Jones of Turner Valley; two great-grandchildren, Amber and Cory Hines. Mrs. Halstead was predeceased by her husband Art in 1974, two sisters, Bernice White of Nanton, Blanche Burrows of Nanton, and her brother Vernon Anderson of Stavely. In respect of Mrs. Halstead's wishes, Cremation has taken place and a Private Graveside Service will take place in Calgary at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Palliative Care, Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation c/o Drayton Valley Health Complex. DRAYTON VALLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, Tinant Funeral Directors, in care of arrangements. (10/28/1997).

HALUKE - With deepest regret, the family wishes to announce the passing of Michael Haluke, in his 90th year. Mike was born in Sheho, Saskatchewan on November 8, 1907. In the 1920's he moved to Kindersley, Winnipeg in the 1950's, and to Calgary in 1982. Mike worked in the Sheho creamery, and later as a truck driver hauling cream from the surrounding farm areas. He also held a variety of other jobs, including mink ranching, farming, welding and operating the town dairy. Following the move to Winnipeg in 1957, both Mike and Myrtle took barber courses and began their own business at the Cresentwood Barber Shop on Corydon Avenue. They owned the shop for twenty-five years, until moving to Calgary in 1982. Mike loved music, and in his earlier years, enjoyed singing duets with his wife. His biggest challenge was overcoming bowel cancer in 1994. Besides his loving wife Myrtle, Michael is survived by his daughter Mickey and son-in-law Norman Markert; four grandchildren, David Burgess of Vancouver, Mark (Lisa) Burgess of Calgary, Tyler (Stacey) Burgess of Vancouver, and Michelle Burgess of Victoria; and a great-granddaughter Brittany. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jessie and Katie Haluke; as well as a brother-in-law Ken Orwald, sister-in-law Lylene Scott; and nephews, Ron Ladimer, Laurie Haluke, and Joe Romanow; and niece Lois Dumont. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary, Belle, Alex, John, Walter, Bill, Benny, and two brothers-in-law, Frank Scott and Bernard Orwald, and niece Josephine Romanow. Funeral Services will be held at the Foothills Hospital Chapel (1403 - 29 Street N.W.), on Monday, July 14, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Thompson of Parkdale United Church officiating. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, 1920 - 11 Street S.E., Calgary, T2G 3G2. HAMILTON - Mr. Orval Wilson Hamilton of Rimbey, Alberta, passed away at Gull Lake, Alberta, on Wednesday, November 19, 1997 while enjoying his favorite pastime, ice fishing, at the age of 80 years. Orval was predeceased by his loving wife Bessie on May 14, 1986. Orval is survived by his loving family, three sons, Ken Hamilton of Rimbey, Orval Jr. "Joe" and companion Kimberly of Rimbey, Roy (Dawn) Hamilton of Rimbey; three daughters, Marjorie (Orman) Savage of Ingleside, Ontario, Susan (Kees) vanKwawegen of Calgary, Heather Hamilton of Red Deer; four grandchildren and one very special friend Eileen Waldren of Ponoka, Alberta. Funeral Services will be held from the Rimbey United Church on Monday, November 24, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. with Mrs. Shirley Collard officiating. Interment will follow in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey, Alberta. If friends so desire, memorial contributions to aid in the research of breast cancer may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 1X2. HAMPSON - Mildred (Zella) Hampson, born Criggleston, Yorkshire, England, November 24, 1897 passed away peacefully, June 15, 1997 at Edmonton. Survived by three sons, Maurice (Margaret), Edmonton, William (Rosemary), Crawford Bay, B.C. and Victor, Calgary. Predeceased by her husband William, sons, Allan and Dale, and daughter Joan. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 21, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. at Appel Funeral Home/Central Memorial Chapel, 10530 - 116 Street, Edmonton with Captain Tim Leslie officiating. MCGAFFIN - Harry William McGaffin, beloved husband of Dorothy McGaffin of Calgary, passed away peacefully on December 2, 1997 at the age of 71 years. He will also be sadly missed by his children, Terry (Geri) McGaffin and Sandra (Leonard) Fagnan, all of Langdon; and four grandchildren, Jackie, Kirby, Kristi and Cody. Harry was employed for over forty years as an electrician in the Oil Industry. He was actively involved in the Forest Lawn and Chestermere Communities in which he lived. He was an active member of the "White Cappers" Seniors of Chestermere and the Happy Wanderers Trailer Club of Calgary. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Pierson's Funeral Home, 4121 - 17 Avenue S.E. on Thursday, December 4, 1997 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chestermere Community Complex, 201 West Chestermere Drive, Chestermere on Friday, December 5, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1331 - 29 Street N.W, Calgary T2N 4N2 or the Calgary Humane Society, 1323 - 36 Avenue N.E., Calgary T2E 6T6.
