He will be lovingly remembered by is wife Felicidad "Fely"; four sons, Luciano Jr. (Melinda) of Calgary, Petronilo (Catherine), Angelito (Corazon), all of Metro Manila, Philippines, Alberto (Rosalina), of Bulacan, Philippines; two daughters, Teresita Lorenzo (Juan), of Manila, and Maria Clara Ravela (Roberto), of Calgary; a daughter-in-law Felicitas Danan of Huntington Beach, CA; sixteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a step-brother Andres; sister Maria Cleofe and step-sister Lourdes, all of the Philippines; and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a son Vicente in 1991. DANGERFIELD - We regret to announce the death at Kelowna Regional Hospital on October 21, 1997, of Mr. Ralph Eugene Dangerfield, at the age of 82 years. Ralph was a resident of Vernon since 1980, and was a former resident of Edmonton for over twenty-five years. He was a veteran, serving during the Second World War in Europe. Ralph joined the Calgary Highlanders in 1939, but was serving with the Ordinance Corps by the end of the war. He has been a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and retired following a career with the Canadian Customs Service. Ralph will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-three years, Joan; sons, Ken (Karen) of Crofton, B.C. and Robin (Chantal) of Victoria; and daughter Jennifer of Calgary. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Aubrey, Renee, Gabriel, Lisa, Bonnie, Carmon, Philipe, and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby and Gibson; brother Norman ("Darbo") and wife Daisy of Vauxhall, Alta.; sisters, Eva Jacobsen of Sun River, Montana, and Maxine Ashworth of Great Falls, Montana; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1506 - 35 Street, Vernon with Bishop Shawn Lee officiating. DANIELSON - Joseph Andrew Danielson, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Saturday, December 20, 1997 at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by his wife of forty-eight years, Ethel, in 1993. He is survived by his daughter Clarice (Ray) Bulman, Kamloops; his sons, Wayne (Corrie) Danielson, Airdrie, Larry Danielson, Vancouver and Richard (Jane) Danielson, Calgary. He is also survived by his brother Ed Danielson, Vancouver Island; and his loving sisters, Emily McRoberts, Esther Lumgair and Vi (Warren) Dunsmoor, all of Calgary; as well as many nieces and nephews. Joe will be greatly missed by his ten grandchildren, Jasmine Danielson, Joe Danielson, Elisha Danielson, Kris Danielson, Kailey Danielson, Peter Danielson, Crystal Bulman, Tiffany Bulman, Ellen Danielson and Tessie Danielson. He will also be missed by his little friends, who called him "Papa Joe" or "Grandpa Joe" and to whom he provided a non-ending supply of candy. They include Jordan Leitch, Matthew Theriault and Danica Armstrong. There are many friends who made Joe's life much richer with their kindness and hospitality before, and especially after, the death of his life-partner, Ethel. They include Esther and Shirley Shymansky, Ken and Rose Leitch, Kay and Frank Armstrong, Marv Garrison, Jack and Sandy Summers, Bernice Dunsmoor, Michelle and Ken Theriault, Ron, Chantell and Ken Leitch, The Armstrong Boys, Rob and Donna Simpson, Tracy and Colleen Allen. Joe was predeceased by his mother, Gina Marie, two sisters, Lila Dunsmoor and Sylvia Ludlow, and one brother, Dan Danielson, as well as his brothers-in-law and good friends, Bill Ludlow, Vern Summers, Alex Lumgair and Cec Dunsmoor. At this time, Joe's family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to Joe's family physician and friend, James Corley, for his always excellent and compassionate care of Joe in the last five years. DANILUK - Kathleen Mary Daniluk of Calgary, went to be with her Lord on November 16, 1997 at the age of 82 years. She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Patricia Renton (Arthur) of Vauxhall, Neil Daniluk (Elaine) of Lynden, Ontario, Ian Daniluk (Maria) of San Diego, California and Sandy Daniluk (Fay) of Calgary; her twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Kathleen will also be sadly missed by numerous other family and many special friends. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Basil in 1975, a daughter Phyl Forbes in 1994, and her mother Elizabeth Renton in 1980. DANSIE - Brandon Crown died peacefully at High River Hospital and Nursing Home on December 6, 1997 at the age of 65. Brandon's eight month courageous battle with cancer was an inspiration to family and friends alike. His sense of humour, enthusiasm and verve for life touched the hearts of everyone to the end. Brandon will be sadly missed and leaves a very proud family who feel privileged to have been able to share such a rewarding life together. Brandon is survived by his beloved wife Pickles, and sons, Ivan and Jeremy. He leaves to mourn his passing, brothers, Richard, Jacquot and Sam Dansie in the U.K.; nephew David Dansie and family in Zambia; niece Suzy Dansie in South Africa; sister-in-law Janny Burgess and family in New Zealand; also many wonderful friends in Canada and around the world. Brandon was born on October 28, 1932 to Ivan and Mary Cecilia (Tommy) Dansie in Nairobi, Kenya. He was raised and educated in Kenya, was a member of the Kenya Regiment and joined the Special Branch of the Kenya Police Force during the Mau Mau Emergency.Brandon worked for eighteen years with Coopers Agropharm in Kenya, and in 1976 immigrated to High River, Canada with his family. He spent another thirteen years with Coopers Agropharm in Canada until his retirement in September 1989. In January of 1990, Brandon joined Wegener Cabinetry and Woodworking Ltd. in High River. Brandon finally retired in 1995 to pursue his lifelong passion, working with wood, and gained a great reputation for turning "hockey stick bowls" on his lathe. He enthusiastically devoted time to the High River Rotary Club, loved fly fishing, and socializing with his family and friends.A celebration of Brandon's life will take place on Friday, December 12, 1997 at SNODGRASS Funeral Chapel in High River at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the High River District Health Care Foundation, 560 - 9 Avenue West, High River, T1V 1B3. DARDIS - Thelma Lorette (nee Benson), beloved wife of Bill (Wilf) Dardis, died of cancer at the Rosedale Hospice on Friday, December 5, 1997 at the age of 60 years. Born in Strongfield, Sask., Thelma moved to Calgary as a child with her family. She is survived by three chosen children, Patrick and his wife Dianne of Calgary, Colleen and her husband Kevin McCallum of Calgary, and Monica and her husband Doug Hill of Didsbury, AB; as well as four grandchildren, Rhys, Cameron, Courtney and Mikaela. She is also survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Avice and Eric Schwesinger of Calgary, Vera and Brian Stubbington of Ardrossan, AB, and Pat and Joe Disney of Sherwood Park, AB; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Joy Benson of Okanagan Falls, BC, John and Betty Benson of Clearbrook, BC, Doug and Leona Benson of Nanaimo, BC, Fred and Beth Benson of Thorhild, AB, Raymond and Anthea Benson of Tsawwassen, BC, and Garth and Patricia Benson of Bragg Creek, AB. DARJES - Iona Darjes, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on December 3, 1997 at the age of 78 years. Born January 8, 1919 in Elcan, Alberta, Iona was predeceased by her husband Carl on October 25, 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Ferguson and her husband Glenn of Calgary, and Donna Trottier and her husband Kerry of Seebe; two sons, Gary Darjes and his wife Suzanne Eaton of Calgary, and Ronald Darjes, also of Calgary; and two grandsons, Stephen Trottier and Todd Darjes; as well as numerous other relatives. DAWSON - Ernest Floyd Dawson of Olds, formerly of Glenview and Blackie districts, passed away at the Olds General Hospital on June 24, 1997 at the age of 81 years. Ernest is survived by his sisters, Marguerite Eaton, High River, Ethel Sawyer, Calgary, and Janie Scott, High River; her sister-in-law Clara Dawson, High River; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ferg and Grace Dawson, his brothers, George, Bob and Bill Dawson, his sister Lena Presley, and his brothers-in-law, Cecil Eaton, Lester Sawyer, and Gaylen Scott.
