He is survived by his parents, Edwin and Lois McMillan of Rosetown, Sask.; two brothers, Duncan (Carol) of Rosetown, Bruce (Marge) of Saskatoon; one sister Sharon (Bert) Jackson of Acme, AB; eight nieces and nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew; and his aunt Kay (Syl) Napolitono of Victoria, B.C. At his request, no Services are being held. Donations may be made to the Calgary Cancer Clinic or Unit 59 Palliative Care of the Rockyview Hospital if so desired (12/27/1997).
McMULLEN - Mrs. Marion McMullen passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on October 18, 1997. Marion was born July 15, 1929 in Calgary, Alberta. In 1953 she married Archie McMullen. Archie and Marion served at the parishes of the Good Shepherd Anglican Church and St. Phillips Anglican Church in Calgary before moving to Stettler in 1969 to serve at St. Georges, Stettler, St. Paul's, Byemoor and St. Margaret's, Scollard. They moved with their family to Red Deer in 1975 where they served at St. Luke's Anglican Church until Archie's passing in 1983. In 1985, Marion went to work at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 35 where she worked on memberships and at the front desk until her retirement in 1994. She had a warm smile and a gentle heart for all those she met, and a gift for making everyone she knew feel unique and special. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, extended family and church family. She leaves to carry on her legacy of love, Maureen (Don) Wielinga and their children, Farron, Matthew, Aleah and Annelise of Neerlandia, Alberta; John McMullen and his children Daniel and Nicole of Red Deer; and her son Jim (Karen Brosseau) McMullen and their daughter Heather of Leduc. A Celebration of Marion's life will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 5220 - 77 Street, Red Deer, Alberta. McNAB - Mr. Richard William McNab, beloved son of Jim and Marion McNab of Okotoks, Alberta, passed away at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta, on June 12, 1997 at the age of 24 years. Besides his loving parents, Richard is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Loree of Calgary; his sister Heather of Okotoks; and his girlfriend Tammy Ulrich of Okotoks; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew Tyler McNab of Calgary; and by his grandmothers, Edith McNab of the Red Deer Lake area, and Grace Ridley of Erin, Ontario. Richard will also be lovingly remembered by many dear friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Bob Ridley of Erin, Ontario in 1972, George McNab of Red Deer Lake in 1997, and uncle Alan McNab in 1993. Richard was born in Calgary, Alberta, and he started his schooling in Redcliff, Alberta. At the age of twelve, he moved to the Red Deer Lake area. He finished public school at Red Deer Lake and then Okotoks Composite High School where he graduated. Richard then went to S.A.I.T. for two years where he took Engineering, Design and Drafting Technology. Upon graduation, he worked for Colt Engineering. Richard enjoyed many sports and outdoor activities. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Fish Creek Chapel", (14441 Bannister Road S.E.), on Monday, June 16, 1997 at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Glasgow, Chaplain of Rockyview General Hospital, officiating. Graveside Service to follow at Pine Creek Cemetery. McNAMEE - Bernard (Barney). Died in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on June 7, 1997. McNEIL - Robert Guy Joseph (Bob) McNeil, beloved husband of Penny and father to Tony of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 28, 1997 at the age of 32 years. Besides his loving wife and son, Bob is survived by his parents, Bibiane and Roger McNeil; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Diane and Ron Harrington and family, Carol McNeil and family, all of Mission, B.C., Andy McNeil and family of Fort St. John, B.C., and Sylvie McNeil and family of Ontario. McNIVEN - James H., formerly of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at the Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital, Carmangay, Alberta, November 16, 1997 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Fay of Vulcan; father of one daughter Carol (Don) Wright of Didsbury; five sons, Dan (Bonnie) McNiven of Ballinafad, Ont., Jim Jr. (Cathie) McNiven of Vulcan, Michael (Kathy) McNiven, Peter (Gail) McNiven, both of Cessford, Tom (Joanne) McNiven of Vulcan; fifteen grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters, one sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews. CLARK - Doris Ernestine Clark (nee Irvine), beloved wife of Allan (Al) Clark, passed away at her residence Saturday, July 19, 1997 at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer. Doris was born June 17, 1921 in Calgary, Alberta. She served for four years in the RCAF and is a World War II Veteran. She will be sadly missed by husband Al; only surviving son Robin; daughter-in-law Roberta; and brother Robert D. Irvine. She is also survived by two grandsons, Jamie and Darrin; granddaughter Michelle; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley and Courtney. Doris was predeceased by her mother Florence Myrtle Irvine, her father Albert Ernest Irvine, two brothers, Jack A. Irvine and James E. Irvine, and a son John Allan Clark. A special thank you is extended to Carol, Fern, RIA, Marie, Elizabeth and Dana for providing her with such excellent care and companionship during her illness; and to Trish Clark for the support she gave to the family prior to Doris' passing. At the request of Doris, there will be no Funeral Service. A Memorial Service will be held at the 264 Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion at a later date. McMAHON - Mary Geraldine (nee Duffy) passed away October 16, 1997. Mary was born in Montreal and lived in Charlottetown, Aylmer, Saskatoon and Vancouver. Predeceased by her husband Louis and her daughter Nadine Bomersbach, she is survived by four daughters, Patricia (Harold) Fry, Irene (Edward) Auger, Leah McMahon, Stephanie (David) Bishop; one brother Walter Duffy; and son-in-law Conrad Bomersbach; also nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Mary will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Prayers will be held at KEARNEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1096 West Broadway, Vancouver on Sunday, October 19, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. in Youville Chapel, 4950 Heather Street, Vancouver, Rev.
