PAVAN - Rosina Pavan (nee De Zorzi) passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on September 8, 1997 at the age of 92 years. Rosina was born in San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy on February 8, 1905 and immigrated to Bellevue, Alberta in 1927 where she met and married her husband Giacomo. Rosina is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Erasmo (Mo) and Camille Pavan of Calgary; her daughter and son-in-law, Velia and Allan Graham of Sherwood Park; six grandchildren, David, Robert, Gregory, Scott, Cori and Michelle; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Giacomo in 1950. PAWLAK - Helen (Honey) Pawlak of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 1997 at the age of 82 years. Honey was a special, caring, loving individual who will be remembered for her shy smile and kind words. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her extended family of friends. PAWLITZKI - George Gustave (Papa Bear) Pawlitzki, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Frances Pawlitzki of Calgary, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 2, 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71 years. George was born March 11, 1926 in Kitchener, Ontario. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in October of 1943 and served until November of 1966. George married Mary Frances Muir on December 28, 1945 in Kitchener, Ontario. They resided in many parts of Canada before settling in Calgary in 1958. George was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch Number 285 and a member of the Air Gunners Association. Besides his loving wife Mary Frances, George is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Lana Pawlitzki of High River, Alberta; and his daughter Deborah Pawlitzki and her companion Pat Dennis of Calgary; and two grandsons, Ryan and Kyle Pawlitzki. He was predeceased by a son Michael Pawlitzki. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (15 Templebow Road N.E.), today, December 4, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (15 Templebow Road N.E.), on Friday, December 5, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. PAWSON - Mr. Leslie Pawson of Calgary passed away after a brief illness at the Foothills Hospital on September 15, 1997 at the age of 91 years. Les is survived by is loving wife of sixty-three years, Hilda; his three sons, David (Doreen), Geoffrey (Barbara) and Lloyd (Angie); nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and by his nephews, Ken (Jean) Pawson and John (Joyce) Pawson. Les worked for Imperial Oil for forty-two years beginning as a machinist in 1927 and ending as the Assistant Manager of the Calgary refinery. Following retirement in 1969, he accepted a series of consulting contracts across North America including sites in Wyoming and Louisiana. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES "Garden Chapel", 3220 - 4 Street N.W. on Friday, September 19, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Lewry of Central United Church officiating. McKINNON - Eva Ethel McKinnon (nee Dickie) former resident of Bow Centre Place, Calgary, passed away at the Bow Crest Nursing Home on Saturday, December 6, 1997, at the age of 93 years. Eva was born to a Scottish family, second of twelve children, in Creelman, NWT on August 16, 1904. She has resided in Calgary since 1956. Always enjoying good health with many varied interests, such as Canadian History, current affairs, needlework, Sunday picnics, hockey games, and a canoe ride at eighty-seven years old. She enjoyed many happy times with her granddaughter Lori Eva; family gatherings; and picnics with Ethel and Danny's family. Eva will be lovingly remembered by her family, John of Chilliwack, BC, Marvin Ross (Mable) of Prince George, BC, Ellen (Ernie Hauca) of Edmonton, Ethel (Danny Nikiforuk) of Calgary; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren; as well as her sisters, Pearl, Hazel and Amy, all of Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband David, son Gerald, daughter Phyllis, grandsons, David and Douglas Soppit and Glenn Hauca, four brothers and four sisters. Eva wished to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Bow Centre Place, (7915 - 43 Avenue N.W.), on Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. with Linda Hunter officiating. McKINSTRY - Robert Francis "Frank" McKinstry of Calgary, beloved husband of Mrs. Louise McKinstry of sixty-five years, passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on July 18, 1997 at the age of 87 years. Besides his loving wife, Frank is also survived by his children, Bob (Betty), Joyce (Don) Palmer, Dale (Oona), Jim (Darlene); fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, William and Richard and sister Margaret Symons. Funeral Services will be held at Cathedral Church of the Redeemer (218 - 7 Avenue S.E.), on Monday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. with the Very Rev. Robert T. Pynn officiating. McLEAN - It is with sadness that the family of Daisy (Bowhay) McLean announce her passing in Victoria on June 13, 1997. Daisy leaves to mourn her death, her beloved husband Stan, and children, Barbara and Murray. Services of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Victoria.
