- Shop now for incredible insights into your wellbeing -PARTON - Mrs. Nelly Parton (nee Venables), passed away at the Chinook Nursing Home on December 19, 1997 at the age of 92 years. Born February 26, 1905 in Lichfield, England, Nelly came to Canada in 1927. After the death of her husband Henry in 1954, she worked for the C.O. of Canadian Armed Forces Base and Texaco Canada for six years. She is the loving mother of five sons and daughters-in-law, Ken of Calgary, Ray and Glenda of Kelowna, Brian and Barbara of Calgary, Barry and Marguerite of Kelowna, Earl and Kathleen of Vancouver, and Fran of Calgary; as well as seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Nelly was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1954, and sons, Ronald in 1944 and Dennis in 1989. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS and HOLLOWAY'S "Park Memorial Chapel" (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Monday, December 22, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Leona Eagle of First Assembly officiating. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Chinook Nursing Home. PASCOE - Wendy Edna Marie Pascoe of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Peter Lougheed Centre on November 1, 1997 at the age of 47 years. Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Kelly Jo; her father Tom Pascoe; her brother Wade (Darlene); her special friend Garry Davis; and by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy in 1996. PASWISTY - Mark Paswisty, owner and operator of "Discount Vacuum" passed away suddenly at home on June 29, 1997 at the age of 58 years. Mark leaves to mourn, Janet Wolsey; his children, Carl (Darlene), Cindy (Wes), Penny (Hal) Anderson, Jody Wolsey, Lorri (Jim) Bexson; his grandchildren, Tanya, Dwayne, Matthew, Jennifer, Daniel, Jeffery and Amanda. Mark will also be sadly missed by the many he left behind who loved him in life, and those whose lives he touched. PATELLA - Giovanni. Following a brief illness, at the C.U.S.E., Fleurimont Site, Sherbrooke, Que., on Tuesday, October 28, 1997, Giovanni Patella in his 53rd year, beloved husband of Riet Patella Acda. Dear father of Aaron (Laura). He was predeceased by his father Franz Patella and is survived by his mother Heidi (Adam Hedrich); his brother Peter (Anna), and their children; his sister-in-law Ans (Job DeBoo), and their children, as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at CASS FUNERAL HOME, 6 Belvidere Street, Lennoxville, Que., where friends called on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service was held at St. Barnabas' Church, North Hatley, Que., on Friday, October 31, 1997 at 2:00 p.m., followed by Cremation, Rev. PATERSON - Mrs. Dorothy Margaret Paterson passed away peacefully in Kelowna, B.C. on Sunday, September 7, 1997 at the age of 71 years. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Herb of Vernon; two sons and daughters-in-law, David (Susan) of Okanagan Center, Alan (Carolyn) of Norwalk, Connecticut, USA; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn (Marc) Mulvaney of North Vancouver, BC; four grandchildren; mother Margaret Morrison of Calgary, Alberta; one sister Joyce Gosling also of Calgary, Alberta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by her father Jim Morrison and one brother Gordon Morrison. Following Cremation a private family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy may do so to the charity of their choice. PATRY - Michael David Patry, born December 27, 1980, accidentally died on Saturday, November 29, 1997. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his parents, David and Beverly Patry; his siblings, Jonathon, Andrea, Emily, Joel, all of Calgary, Michelle (Vancouver) and Allan Patry (Victoria); grandparents, Gaetan and Joan Patry, and Gordon and Laura Smith, all of Winnipeg; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Michael will be remembered as someone who loved the outdoors and his passion for music. He was known for his deep and loyal friendships. PATTERSON - Mrs. Edith Victoria Patterson passed away on June 17, 1997 at the age of 81 years while visiting her family in Kingston, Ontario. She is the dearly beloved mother of Pat and Don Rigby, Mike Patterson, Rick and Sue Patterson, and Beth and Don Ellingson, all of Calgary; beloved grandmother of Kathy (Steve) Sharp, Ken Rigby, Sandra Patterson, Mike Patterson, Nicky (Chad) Durocher, Debbie Matthews, and David Matthews; and great-grandmother of Laura and Kevin Sharp. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Helen Wilson of Ottawa and Martha Hughson and Gertrude Sunman, both of Kingston, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith was predeceased by her husband of fifty-seven years, Thomas Elmer Patterson in 1995, and by two brothers, Henry Smith and Bill Smith, and one sister Mildred McNeely.
