FULLER - John C.J. Fuller passed away peacefully at Southwood Nursing Home on June 11, 1997 at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Louise in July of 1983. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Oliver, John Michael and his wife Gisela; seven grandchildren, Sandra Louise and her husband Dan Higdon, Robert Oliver, Jr. and his wife Sheri, Michelle and her husband Rob Janousek, Kristian John and his wife Avryll, Sharon Elaine, Trat and Heidi; as well as seven great-grandchildren. John C.J. Fuller was born in Belmont, Massachusetts, on March 27, 1906 and moved to Calgary in 1951 to work in the oil and gas industry and has lived here ever since. He became a Canadian citizen in 1960 and was proud to have contributed to the development of Canada's resources. A celebration of John C.J. Fuller's life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Park Memorial Chapel" (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Friday, June 20, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to "Staff Funds Account", Southwood Nursing Home, 211 Heritage Drive S.E., Calgary, Alberta T2H 1M9. ATAMANIUK - On Wednesday, November 5, 1997, Sophie Atamaniuk passed away in the Peter Lougheed Centre at the age of 76 years. Sophie was born in the Ukraine and emigrated to Canada at an early age. Upon landing in Halifax, she immediately came West and settled in Calgary, where she has spent her lifetime. It was here she married her husband Ivan and raised their family. Her family was the centre of her life and everything revolved around them. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking, beautiful gardens and flowers and was also a strong member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband Ivan; daughter Dana Ashman and husband Ralph of Calgary; son Steve Atamaniuk and wife Luba of Edmonton; three grandchildren, Sonya Emslie of Calgary, Stephen and Jerry Atamaniuk of Edmonton; also numerous other friends and relatives in Canada and the United States. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church (704 - 6 Street N.E.), on Sunday, November 9, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church on Monday, November 10, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Anton Tarasenko, Celebrant. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Church Painting Fund at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 704 - 6 Street N.E., T2E 0N4. AU - Shuen, of Calgary, passed away at the Agape Hospice on Tuesday, December 16, 1997 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Simon (Anna), Stephen (Cindy) of Calgary, Susan Wong (Thomas) of Hong Kong, Christina Chao (Patrick) of Vancouver, B.C., David of Calgary. Shuen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by twelve grandchildren, James (Hillary), Helen, Eleana (Mike Palumbo), Albert, Mandy, Lydia, Angela, Allen, Giselle (Dr. Ron Lim), Eric, Kara, and Kristen; also three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Santyna and Alexia. He was predeceased by his wife Au Ho Tin in 1980, son Wilson in 1980. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.), on Friday, December 19, 1997 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Leyden's "Chapel of Remembrance" on Saturday, December 20, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Queen's Park Cemetery at a later date. The family of Au Shuen wish to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Agape Manor Hospice for their care and compassion. AUBICHON - Stella Flora Aubichon of Calgary, Alberta, formerly of Saskatoon, passed away peacefully at the Agape Manor, Calgary on Friday, October 31, 1997 at the age of 60 years. AUCLAIR - Mr. Lucien Rosario Auclair of Calgary, died peacefully at the Glamorgan Nursing Home on October 19, 1997, one week short of his 86th birthday. He was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 25, 1911. Lucien was a Knight of the Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus, and was a very active and original member of the Ste. Famille Church. He is survived by two sisters, Anna Walsh of Edmonton, and Sr. Cecile Auclair of Montreal (Sisters Franciscaines Missionnaires de l'Immaculate Conception); two brothers, Francois Auclair of Calgary, and Eugene Auclair of Burnaby, B.C.; a niece Claire Kuckle, and a nephew Raymond Corbiel, and their children. Lucien was predeceased by his parents, Helene and Joseph, and three siblings, Bertha Corbiel, Jacques Auclair, Sr. Helene (Claire) Auclair. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ste. Famille Catholic Church (1717 - 5 Street S.W.), on Thursday, October 23, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Prieur, O.M.I., Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. BAKER - Edward S. (J5090) D.F.C., on December 10, 1997, at Kilgour Wing, Sunnybrook Medical Centre, Toronto, in his 83rd year. Survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Flora (McDonald) Baker. Ed was born in Calgary and during the Second World War served as a navigator of the RCAF attached to the No. 7 Squadron RAF. in 1943 his plane was shot down and he was held prisoner at Stalag Luft 3 until 1945. After the war, Ed joined Kimberley-Clark Canada until his retirement in 1980. Ed was a kind, gentle man who endeared himself to young people and will be fondly remembered by those who called him "GRAMPS" and by his relatives and friends in Calgary and Toronto. At his request no Funeral Service will be held. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated (12/13/1997).

PARKIN - Louise Susanne Parkin, beloved wife of Leonard Parkin of Okotoks, AB, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, June 29, 1997 after a long struggle with cancer at the age of 50 years. Louise will be remembered for her courage and faith through her long struggle with cancer over the years. Besides her loving husband, Louise is survived by two daughters and a son, Michaela, Brennen and Renae Parkin, all of Okotoks, AB. She is also survived by her father Arnold Kennedy of Arborfield, SK; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Ron Bealey of Prince George, B.C.; her brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Maryann Kennedy of Saskatoon, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Elisabeth Kennedy, in 1994. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. James Catholic Church, (71 Riverside Drive West, Okotoks, AB), on Wednesday, July 2, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, (71 Riverside Drive, West, Okotoks, AB), on Thursday, July 3, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. John A. Bastigal, Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow at Okotoks Cemetery, Okotoks, AB. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Family Life Centre, 305A, 1324 - 11 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB, T3C 0M4, and/or St. James Catholic Church, 71 Riverside Drive West, Okotoks, AB, T0L 1T3.
