FRENCH - Mary Mae nee Shilmar (Schilmar) passed away peacefully on September 7, 1997 at the Pincher Creek Hospital. Memorial gathering on September 11 at 2:00 p.m., at Holy Trinity Family Center, 1514 - 44 Street S.E., Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mid River Fire Department, Box 40, Glenwood, AB T0K 2R0 for purchase of an Automatic Heart Defibrillator in her memory (9/10/1997).

FUCHS - Robert Carl (Bob). On December 20, 1997, Robert Carl (Bob) Fuchs of Chestermere, Alberta passed away at the age of 57 years. Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Millie of Chestermere, Alberta; a sister Jean (Kirby) Eastwood of Edmonton; four nieces, Shelley, Desiree, Debbie and Darlene; three nephews, Michael, Troy and Brett; his extended family, Andy (Brenda) Bilon, Mary (Gary) Hewitt and Jenny (John) Phillips; also many cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry in 1987 and Johanna in 1994, also one brother Ted in 1971. Prayers will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6770 - 129 Avenue, Edmonton on Friday, December 26, 1997, at 7:00 p.m. Reverend Anthony Gonsalves, OFM will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Saturday, December 27, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends who so wish may make memorial donations directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 - 124 Street, Edmonton T5M 0H9 or the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 9707 - 110 Street, Edmonton T5K 2L9. FUGE - Nan Fuge passed away at the Foothills Hospital on December 24, 1997 at the age of 75 years, beloved wife of Ray Fuge and dear mother of Ian Fuge, Neil Fuge and Alison (Roger) Smith. Nan is also survived by her grandchildren, Vanessa, Jennifer, Heather and Taylor; three great-grandchildren Travis, Bobbie and Cassie; sister Betty MacKenzie; brother Ian (Jean) Bennie; and her dear aunt Jean Bennie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nan was taken suddenly and will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends. Funeral Services will be held at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.) on Sunday, December 28, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Leyden's "Bow Valley Crematorium". In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E. Calgary, Alberta T2G 3Y6. FUJINO - Koma Fujino (Uno) passed away on Saturday, June 14, 1997 at the Forest Grove Care Centre. She was born April 24, 1912 in Shiga-Ken Prefecture, Japan. She married Shohichi Fujino on February 21, 1936, and then immigrated to New Westminster, B.C. In 1942 she relocated with her family to southern Alberta (Hillsprings, Raymond, Coaldale, Broxburn and Lethbridge). Koma was predeceased by her husband, Shohichi, on August 13, 1994, and is survived by her son Jack (Mitsi) of Edmonton; daughter Alice (Jim) Tateishi of Kamloops; and sons, Ross and Bob (Beverly) of Calgary. As well as six grandchildren, Jared, Mitchell, Michael, Daryl, Rhonda and Jennifer. A Private Family Committal Service will be held at the CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, today, June 16, 1997. Cremation will follow. Funeral Services will be held at the Lethbridge Honpa Buddhist Church on Tuesday, June 17, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. with Reverends, M. Nishiaki, M. Hayashi, Y. Kawamura, and L. Kawamura officiating. Arrangements and Cremation in care of HERITAGE FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICES, "Calgary Crematorium Chapel". (6/17/1997).

FULE - Mr. Joseph "Joe" Fule of Canmore, Alberta, passed away suddenly on July 1, 1997 at his home, at the age of 74 years. Joe is survived by two sons, Gary (Colleen) Fule of Vancouver, B.C., and Pat (Debbie) Fule of Strathmore, Alberta; two grandchildren, Brennen and Breanne. Joe was an honest, hard-working man who had friendships that spanned all generations. He was incredibly warm and generous in all his dealings. Family and friends were always welcome in his home and he loved them all. It was his family that he really loved, including his sons' families, and grandchildren. He also was devoted to the Grabar family in Calgary as if it was his own. Joe's passion was fishing in the mountains with his friends. It gave him a great sense of joy and freedom to live in the mountains and he never wanted to leave them for very long. He could also be found at his favorite haunt "The Drake" and had friends of all ages there. Joe set an example in all aspects of his life and he will be deeply missed. We are grateful we all got a chance to share our lives with him. Joe was predeceased by his wife Mary on September 4, 1985. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2G 3Y6. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 810 - 7 Street, Canmore, Alberta on Friday, July 4, 1997 at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Jacques Joly, Celebrant. FULLER - Charlene Mary Fuller (nee Hillebrecht), beloved wife of Robert A. (Bob) Fuller of Calgary, passed away at home on December 15, 1997 with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 54 years. Charlene was born on January 28, 1943 at the Calgary General Hospital and lived all of her life in Calgary. Her early education started at McDougall School in downtown Calgary where she lived until moving to the Richmond Park area. She continued her junior and senior high school education at Viscount Bennett. During her school years, Charlene was active in Knox United Church youth groups and Job's Daughters, serving as Honored Queen of Bethel No. 12 in 1961. After completing a business course at Mount Royal College, she worked at CFAC Radio in the accounting department prior to and after her marriage to Bob on November 16, 1963 until their first son Brad was born on December 9, 1964. While raising their two sons, Brad and Kevin, born on September 27, 1967, Charlene worked part-time for Century Calgary on the city's 1975 Centennial and at P. Lawson Travel. More recently she worked at Parlee McLaw's Law Firm. As part of her love for Calgary and involvement with people, Charlene volunteered for the Varsity Community where the family has lived since 1966. Charlene was a strong community and school supporter involved in her sons' sports and Scout Canada activities. She volunteered with Calgary Centennial in 1974-1975, the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988, the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede and the Foothills Hospital Auxiliary. Charlene spent endless hours caring for her mother for some twenty years and also caring for other extended family members. She followed in her mother's footsteps asa member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She served as Worthy Matron of Bow Valley Chapter No. 5 of the Eastern Star in 1993 and continued her active interest and involvement thereafter. Charlene had a strong love and caring for people and as a result has maintained countless close friendships throughout her life, sharing many memorable occasions, including vacations with friends, preferably to warm climates. She was an avid collector of what Bob frequently referred to as "her stuff" and spent many enjoyable times browsing craft fairs, antique shops and shopping. Their home is a reflection of the many interests she had. Besides her loving husband Bob, Charlene is survived by their loving sons, of whom she was very proud, Brad of Whistler, B.C., and Kevin of Vancouver, B.C.; two maternal aunts, Mabel Stier of High River, and Frances Mallinger of Calgary; as well as other relatives and many close friends.Charlene was predeceased by her parents, Charles F. Hillebrecht in 1955 and Evelyn M. Hillebrecht (nee Mallinger) in 1991. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Crowfoot Chapel" (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Thursday, December 18, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta T2G 1A2 or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family especially wishes to thank Fern and Carol with Home Care and Betty and Anne with We Care for the special care and compassion they showed to Charlene and her family, which allowed her to be at home during her last days. In living memory of Charlene Fuller, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES "Crowfoot Chapel", 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W. (12/17/1997).

BAKER - Harold Key Baker of Calgary, passed away at home on Saturday, September 6, 1997 at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his children, sons, Verne (Alice) Baker, Charles (Susie) Baker, daughters, Lynne (Bill) Schellenberg, and a special friend Joanne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was born at Calgary on November 4, 1915. He was a Railway Clerk and a member of the Chaplehow Branch No. 284 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Harold was a loving father and a gentle man who will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chaplehow Branch No. 284 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 606 - 38 Avenue N.E., on Saturday, September 13, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Wilk, Chaplain, officiating. If desired, a donation in Harold's memory may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, Second Floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta T2G 1A2. PARKER - John Charles Robert Parker passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Thursday, September 11, 1997 at the age of 48 years. John is survived by his loving wife Deanna Lynn; three sons, Dean, Darcy and Jay; daughter-in-law Chadley; and grandson Andrew, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his two sisters and their families, Jacklynn and her husband James Eggen of Montreal, P.Q., Dorothy and her husband Clayton Bungay of North Sydney, Nova Scotia; his father and mother-in-law Robertson and Elsie Howatt of Fort MacLeod, Alberta; as well as other dearly loved family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Pierson's Funeral Home, 4121 - 17 Avenue S.E. on Monday, September 15, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements in care of PIERSON'S FUNERAL SERVICE LTD.
