Born in Coleman, AB on June 9, 1937, he leaves behind his beloved wife Myrna and his two sons David (Kim) and Christopher (Maryann Elkin); his mother Mary; his sister Patricia Atkinson; his mother-in-law Nora Haslam; his brother-in-law Ross (Dawna) Haslam; his sisters-in-law Donna (Doug) Highfield and Lynda (Brian) Pendle and 8 nephews and 8 nieces. Bill was a loyal employee of Greyhound Lines of Canada for 32 years. During that time he worked in various departments and gained many friends Travelling was one of his true loves and in addition to the pleasure he received serving the public, he also gained great joy in travelling across the country and continent with his family. He was a fan and supporter of various local sports and in the past had volunteered as a member of the Triwood Community Association and as a Little League umpire. Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or to S.T.A.R.S. The time and location of memorial services will be announced latter (6/16/1997).

GINGRAS - Maurice A. Gingras of High River passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 12, 1997 at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of forty-six years, Georgette; his children, Madeleine (John) Kane, Lorrette (Bruce) Wilson, Rita (Terry) Jukes, all of Calgary, Louise (Al) Phalen of Okotoks, Paul (Cynthia) of Bonnyville and Peter (Sandy) of Lethbridge; and by thirteen grandchildren; and sisters, Juliet Ward of Edmonton and Helen Crawford of Victoria, B.C. Maurice was born and raised in the Brant-Ensign area and farmed there for some twenty-five years prior to his retirement to High River in 1976. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the High River Hospital Nursing Home for the care Maurice received while a resident and for the special care given to the family. Evening Prayers will be said on Sunday, November 16 at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, High River at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. FRAYNE - George Arthur Frayne, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of fifty-five years of Doris Marie Frayne (nee Ritchie), died peacefully at the age of 85 on Saturday, June 28, 1997 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. George was the beloved father of Dennis George (Dianne) Frayne and their son Michael, all of Calgary. Cremation at MARTIN BROS. Chapel Of Peace Crematorium. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, July 4, 1997 in St. Mary's Anglican Church, 541 - 12 Street "C" North with the Reverend Brian Wiig officiating. FREEMAN - Orval Albert, beloved husband of Mrs. Annabel Freeman of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on September 4, 1997, at the age of 78 years. He is the loving father of son Brian (Florence), daughter Carol (Rick), both of Calgary. Orval is also survived by three brothers and two sisters, all of Ontario, and by his nephew Jim Vomastic. GILL - Mrs. Lea Gill, beloved wife of Almanzor Gill of Calgary, and formerly of Edmonton, AB, passed away at the Father Lacombe Nursing Home, Calgary, on December 11, 1997 at the age of 89 years. She is the loving mother of a daughter Marguerite Ratke, and a son Laurent and his wife Juanne Gill, all of Calgary; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Alice Vogt of Maillardville, B.C. GEIDER - Mrs. Edith Justine Geider of Calgary, passed away at the Extendicare Hillcrest Nursing Home on September 11, 1997 at the age of 73 years. Edith married Frank Geider on February 19, 1947. They immigrated to Canada in 1951. Edith was involved with ballet and later classical music and opera were her hobbies. Edith is survived by her son Randy; and daughter and son-in-law, Michaela and Douglas Young; and grandson Darren, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her three brothers and sister-in-law, Walter and Edith Bednar, Otto and Elizabeth Bednar, and Heinz and Pamela Bednar; her two sisters, Gitta Martin, all of Calgary; and Ingrid Mann of B.C. She was predeceased by her parents, Otto and Appollonia; her sister Gertrude, and her brother Helmuth.
