BELISLE - Ellen "Hazel" Belisle passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital onDecember 5, 1997 at the age of 77 years. Hazel was born, educated and has resided inCalgary all her life. She will be remembered by her friends as being happiest when she wasdriving her car. Hazel is survived by a sister Yvonne Rooney of Calgary; a niece PatriciaMatisz of Tillsonburg, Ontario and her husband Joe; a nephew Edward Rooney of Calgaryand his wife Joanne; two great-nieces, Tracy Martin of Stratford, Ontario and Erin Rooneyof Calgary. At Hazel's request, there will be no Funeral Service. Arrangements byMcINNIS&HOLLOWAY'S "Chapel of the Bells", (2720 Centre Street North), 403-276-2296. Graveside Services to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, at a later date. BELL - Jack, beloved son of Mrs. Florence Bell of Calgary, passed away June 4, 1997 in Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 62. Predeceased by his father Joseph and his wife Ruby, he is survived by his sister Marlo LaHaye; his nieces, Treena Kittlaus and Alana Valdi, and nephew Tony LaHaye and close cousins and friends, Joan Cowling and Lorne Beaton; and numerous aunts and uncles (6/7/1997).

BENDELL - Grace Hannah (nee Hunt), 84 years, was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 15, 1997. For many years she was active in her church family, first at Chalmers Presbyterian and later at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Churches. Her late husband Arthur (1986) owned an accounting practice, and Grace worked there by his side throughout most of their married life. The past eleven years have been difficult for her as she missed her beloved husband and dealt with her own deteriorating health. Especially during this period, the warm fellowship of worship and the Koinonia Support Group at St. Andrew's have offered important opportunities for her expressions of faith and love for her Lord. She leaves behind two daughters, Phyllis (Frank) Kroeker of Calgary, Mary (Murray) Hutchings of Mississauga, ON; a son Ted (Peggy) of Timmins, ON; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1986. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 703 Heritage Drive S.W. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Gideons, 2739 - 49 Street S.W., Calgary, AB. T3E 3X9, or St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. In living memory of Grace Bendell, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, "Park Memorial Chapel", 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W., CALGARY. (6/17/1997).

BENEDETTI - Mr. Benedetto (Benny) Benedetti, loving companion of Judy Sutherland of Calgary, passed away suddenly at their residence on November 20, 1997 at the age of 74 years. Besides his loving companion, Benny is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Janette; three daughters, Melanie of Calgary, and Purina and Gabriella of Italy; a stepdaughter Darla; as well as two granddaughters, Geminisse and Alicia; and a great-granddaughter Lorelei. He is also survived by numerous other family members. Benny was predeceased by his wife Marilyn and daughter Candy. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Park Memorial Chapel" (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Monday, November 24, 1997 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway's "Park Memorial Chapel" (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Tuesday, November 25, 1997 at 10:00 a.m.. with the Rev. Alexander MacLennan of St. Gerard's Catholic Church officiating. BENKO - Mrs. Agnes Marie Benko of Calgary, passed away suddenly at her residence on Monday, December 29, 1997 at the age of 79 years. Agnes was born September 25, 1918 in Raymore, Saskatchewan. Agnes is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Joan Benko of Calgary; two grandsons, Richard, Christopher and his wife Tanya, all of Calgary.She is also survived by two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Edward and Rita Lang of Saskatoon, SK, Fern and Frances Lang of Calgary, Anna Lang of Calgary, and Anne Lang of Regina; and two sisters and four brothers-in-law, Zita and Gabe Lang of Regina, Ella and Steve Kitella of Calgary, Joe Petro of Hamilton, Ontario, and Pat Hanlon of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1993, her parents, Max and Theresa Lang, and brothers, John, Charlie and Bill Lang, and sisters, Rose Petro and Marie Hanlon. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Luke's Catholic Church (corner of Northmount Drive and Northland Drive N.W.), on Thursday, January 1, 1998 at 4:00 p.m.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive N.W.), on Friday, January 2, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. William H. Trienekens, Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph's Section at Queen's Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Sister Superior, Missionaries of Charity c/o Mother Theresa's Workers, 4737 - 44 Avenue, St. Paul, Alberta T0A 3A2. BENNETT - Bann Arthur Bennett, beloved husband of Mrs. Arlyss Bennett of Calgary passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on June 26, 1997, at the age of 45 years. Besides his loving wife, Bann is survived by his son Todd and daughter Amanda. He is also survived by his brother Jim (Bev) Wilson and grandmother Gertrude of Didsbury; sister Mary-Ellen Bennett of Calgary; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bann was predeceased by his father Gordon Bennett in 1980 and mother Meona Bennett in 1984. Bann was employed by the CP Rail for twenty-five years as a locomotive engineer (Union Local 355), and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Hemochromatosis Society, (272, 7000 Minoru Boulevard, Richmond, B.C. V6Y 3Z5). Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held at the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME, on Monday, June 30, 1997 at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY and FUNERAL HOME, 17 Avenue S.E. at Garden Road (3 km East of 68 Street S.E.). KONOPCZYNSKI - Christine Elisabeth Konopczynski, beloved daughter of Mark and Paulette, and sister of Katie and Alyson of Calgary, passed away at home on December 8, 1997, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 15 years. Christine was born in Calgary and spent her brief life making friends and growing up in Calgary, Swan Hills, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario. She loved school and music, playing flute and piccolo with the Woodman Junior High Band. Christine enjoyed swimming and her summers spent at Camp Chief Hector and most recently at Camp SunMaker. She was also a member of the Girl Guides of Canada, receiving her Canada Cord in October 1997. Besides her loving parents and sisters, Christine is survived by her grandparents, Aleksander and Sheila Konopczynski of Nanaimo, B.C., and Robert and Theresa Gray of Peterborough, Ontario. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles and cousins in Peterborough, Ontario, Duncan, B.C. and Muscat, Oman. Special thanks for their help and support throughout Christine's illness to her friend, Sarah Schumann, her adopted aunts and uncles, Caroline and Steve Richards, and Joy and Brian Evenson. Christine's family would also like to thank Dr. Max Coppes, Dr. Peter Farran, Dr. Karen Booth, the nurses and staff of 'Q' Cluster at the Alberta Children's Hospital and Dr. Sandra Foss, for their kindness and care during the past year. Christine and her family will be forever grateful to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada for fulfilling her final wish. Funeral Services will be held at the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, (604 - 1 Street S.E., Calgary) today, December 12, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with the Very Rev. Robert T. Pynn officiating. KOOL - (nee Wilson) Margaret Kool of Calgary was peacefully taken into God's care on August 28, 1997 at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 70 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her three children, Derek (Sue) of Swan Hills, Brenda (Allan) Sanden of Calgary, and David of Calgary; her five grandchildren, Gary Kool, Greg, Andrea, Krista and Brianne Sanden; and two great-grandchildren, Dale and Sydney Kool; her sister Elizabeth Stephens of Armstrong, B.C.; brothers, Bill (Phyllis) Wilson of Athabasca, Joe (Dolphie) Wilson of Grand Forks, B.C.; sister-in-law Alice (Harvey) Crispell of Salmon Arm, B.C.; numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins in Britain and the U.S. She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend, Arend in 1991, her parents, David and Dorothy Wilson, brother Jim and her sisters, Dorothy and Sena. Margaret was extremely proud of her family and devoted her life to them. She lived each day to the fullest and was always thankful and felt blessed for all she had. Margaret suffered a great loss when Arend passed away, yet she remained very strong and determined to carry on for her family's sake. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, sharp memory, and as a pillar of strength and an inspiration to us all. "This life for me is truly past I loved you all to the very last Weep not for me, but courage take And love one another for my sake" Special thanks to our family and friends for all the care and love given to Mom during her illness. Without your love and support we would not have been able to provide her with her last wish, to remain in her own home and maintain her independence; Dr. Staniland, Dr. Place, Home Care Co-ordinator Royaleen, Caregivers, Rose Marie, and Amanda; and to Vera - dear friend and neighbour whose daily phone calls and concern touched us deeply. Special thanks also to all the nurses on Unit 101 at the Foothills Hospital. Your care and understanding was appreciated by Margaret and her family. All of you gave us the courage and strength to carry on. A Memorial Service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held September 20, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at the Senior's Centre in Kinuso, Alberta, Sister Monica Denk officiating. In lieu of flowers, Margaret would have been most grateful for charitable donations made to C.M.T. International, One Spingbank Drive, St. Catharines, Ontario, L2S 2K1. Arrangements in care of WILTON'S FUNERAL HOME, Slave Lake, Alberta. (9/12/1997).
