JOHANSON – Peter Johanson was born on March 25, 1908 in Norway. He passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the age of 95 years.
Peter is survived by his two daughters Audrey Hitman of Camrose, Shirley (Doug) Latimer of Ponoka; two sons Gary (Susan) of Fort Saskatchewan, Ken of Camrose; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers Arvid and Harold; one sister Borgny; and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Frances; his parents, and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 8 at 1 p.m. from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenn Ward officiating.
Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to a local charity of one’s choice.

Mr. Hans Brockhoff
BROCKHOFF – On Feb. 28, 2004 Mr. Hans Brockhoff of Edberg passed away at the age of 86 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 57 years, Lois; daughters Esther Brockhoff of Leduc, Pat (Doug) Russell of Sherwood Park, Joyce Brockhoff of Calgary, Lorna (Randy) Beebe of Leduc; one son Jeff (Nickie) of Calgary; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and one brother Fritz of Lloydminster, SK. Hans was predeceased by his son Daniel; two brothers Johnny and Herman; and one nephew Allen.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, March 2 at 1 p.m. from the Edberg Community Hall with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary’s Pastoral Care) officiating. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Edberg Cemetery Fund or a charity of one’s choice.

Alma Theresa Grundy
GRUNDY – Alma Theresa Grundy of Camrose, formerly of Kelowna, passed away in Edmonton on Nov. 12, 2003 at the age of 83 years.
She is survived by one daughter Kathy Grundy of Wetaskiwin; one son Ernest (Judi) Grundy of Kelowna; two grandchildren Ryan and Michael; one sister Erna of Winnipeg; daughters-in-law Marian Grundy and Pat Maranda; and honourary grandchildren Olivia and Josalyne Thornton-Dunn. Alma was predeceased by her husband Alfred John; sons James and Jack Grundy; grandchild Shannon Grundy; one sister Helen Blair; and one brother Ernest Weber.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Camrose with Pastor David Eriksson officiating. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment to take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Regina. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

YOUNG DIANNE nee: STORDAHL, of VANCOUVER, B.C.
YOUNG – On Oct. 31, 2003 at May’s Place Hospice in Vancouver, B.C., Dianne Stordahl Young succumbed after a valiant three year battle against ovarian cancer.
Dianne was born June 28, 1944. Her mother, Hazel Stordahl, was a teacher and her father, Walter Stordahl, was a farmer. Walter died in July 1964 and Hazel died in May 1975. Both sets of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stordahl, were pioneers and homesteaders in the Bawlf area where Dianne grew up.
After graduating from Bawlf High School. Dianne attended college in Edmonton for two years before she and her mother moved to Vancouver, where Dianne met and married Bob Young. The couple divorced in 1992.
For nearly 30 years Dianne was employed in the administrative offices of BC Rail in North Vancouver.
Dianne is mourned by her much loved family: her two daughters Michelle Young and Bonnie Thomson; her son-in-law Matt Thomson; her two-year-old granddaughter Brianne; and by many other relatives and friends.
A shy and private person, Dianne faced her final illness with courage and grace. Devoted to her family and loyal to her friends, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services were scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6 at Glen Haven Memorial Chapel in Vancouver. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund or the charity of your choice.
KNUDTSON, Charlotte (Carlson)
April 4, 1944 - Sept. 6, 2003
It is with sadness Charlotte’s family announces her passing at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary.
Charlotte is survived by her son Eric Knudtson and wife Shelley of Calgary; companion Ken Bell of Calgary; brother Curtis Carlson and wife Jeanne of Russell, NZ; step-sister Marjorie Schultz and husband Wes of Calgary. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Norris Knudtson of Calgary; her father Raymond Carlson; mother Helen Link and Helen’s husband Phillip Link, all of Camrose. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins in the greater Camrose area.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. at Burgar Memorial Chapel, Camrose. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff of Unit 59 at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary and acknowledge their compassion and understanding through this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton T6G 1Z2.

Mrs. Esther Rosland
ROSLAND – Mrs. Esther Rosland of Camrose passed away on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004 at the age of 94 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters Grace Studholme of Edmonton and Mary Hillman of Langley, B.C.; numerous nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by her husband “Lefty” Guttorm; two sisters Alice and Gladys; an infant sister; and two brothers Clarence and Arthur.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Interment will follow in the Camrose Cemetery.

Earl Clinton Pryor
PRYOR – Earl Clinton Pryor of Camrose passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004 at the age of 72 years. He was born in Strome, AB to Allan and Edna Pryor on Aug. 7, 1932.
Earl is lovingly remembered by Anne Lindgren of Camrose.
He is survived by two daughters Penny Cordeiro of Creston, BC and Connie Doniak of Kitimat, BC; six grandchildren; one brother Gordon (Madeline) of Nanaimo, BC; one sister Joyce (Gordon Swanson) of Melitta, MN; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 1985, his mother in 1979, and his youngest sister Margaret in 1972.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter from St. Mary’s Hospital Pastoral Care officiating.

Macala Jane Kneeland
KNEELAND – Macala Jane Kneeland was born May 31, 1997 in Camrose. She was a Grade 2 student at New Norway School.
Macala passed away Oct. 13, 2004. She was with us only a short time but touched so many lives and her passing will leave an emptiness in so many hearts. We know that heaven is now blessed to have our little Princess and as she holds Jesus’ hand, looking down on us, “the magical little blonde girl with dancing eyes”, dancing on the streets that are golden.
Left to cherish Macala’s memory are her parents George and Sharon; sisters Constance and Juliet; brothers Robyn and Shelby; grandparents Stella Kneeland, Tom and Lydia Haselwood; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. from the Highland Park Evangelical Free Church, New Norway with Pastor Kevin Birch and Pastor Joel Megli officiating. Interment followed in the New Norway Cemetery.
