EDWARDS - Rosa Pia On November 19, 2001, Rosa Pia Edwards of Edmonton passed away peacefully. Rosa is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Caterina (Marco) LoVerso of Edmonton and Corinna (Jose Carlos) Gonzales of San Juan, Puerto Rico; four granddaughters, Tatiana, Antonia, Cristina and Michelle. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1998, as well as her brothers and sisters. Gordon James Andrew (Andy) Gorrie
GORRIE - Gordon James Andrew (Andy) Gorrie, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Thursday, November 22, 2001, at the age of 66 years. He will be dearly missed by his children, Gordon (Annette), Lenore (Leo), Andrienne, Natalie and his former wife Gail. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Christina, Jason and Cindy, and one great-grandchild Alexander, all residing in Calgary. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Frank, Rodney, Raymond and Skip; his sisters, Lena and Grace and their families; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Andy was predeceased by his father and mother, Gordon and Lena, and his sister Shirley. Andy was born in Treherne, Manitoba and moved to Calgary at the age of twenty-four years. He recently retired in June of 2000 from the City of Calgary, Sanitation Division. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, November 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. 1983 - 2004
Miranda van Herk of Calgary, beloved wife of Rhys Courtman and daughter of Mirja and Andrew van Herk, passed away suddenly in Rhys’ arms on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at the age of 20 years.
Miranda was a loving, joyful and intelligent young woman who brought happiness to all who knew her. She had already found the love of her life, Rhys, and she was looking forward to a career in Psychology, working to help children when she completed her studies at the University of Calgary. She was very close to her family and knew how to appreciate all the special moments in life. She faced adversity with endless courage and spirit.

Besides her loving husband and parents, Miranda is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Doug Thompson of Peace River, AB; brother Jesse van Herk of Edmonton and grandparents, Kaino and Helka Nikkanen and Willem and Marretje van Herk, all of Edmonton. She is also survived by Rhys’ parents, Ray and Madeline Courtman of Beiseker, AB and his sister Mandy Courtman; her beloved nieces, Trinity and Aurora; and her cousins, Andy, Diane, Melinda, Michael, Karen, Michelle, Kathryn, Rebecca, Terra, Kaeli, Rachael, and Joshua.

Mr. Charles Joseph Molyneaux
MOLYNEAUX – Mr. Charles Joseph Molyneaux of Camrose, formerly of Edmonton, was born May 2, 1924 in Carstairs and passed away on Friday, March 12, 2004 at the age of 79 years.
He lived and attended school in Leduc. Enlisted in RCNVR in 1943, he served aboard the HMCS Ottawa, North Atlantic convoy duty for two-and-a-half years. He sailed the English Channel D-Day July 16, 1944; was a life member of the Northern Alberta Pioneers and Descendants Association of Edmonton; life member of Local Union #488 Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry, Edmonton; and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 57, Camrose.
Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mavis Scheidegger; sisters Madeline Reynolds of Edmonton and Elizabeth Haines of Calgary. He was predeceased by his dad Charles Alexander Molyneaux; mother Hazel Marie Armstrong; and sister Patricia Molyneaux.
No funeral service will be held at Charles’ request.

Mr. Eric August Stangier
STANGIER - Mr. Eric August Stangier, dearly beloved husband of Mrs. Margaret Stangier of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on June 30, 1997 at the age of 66 years. Eric was born August 20, 1930 in Calgary. He married Margaret Sinclair on October 20, 1951. Eric worked for the Ravvins family for thirty-three years, and most of that time he was a furniture salesman. He will be remembered for being a generous fun-loving person, with a keen sense of humour. Besides his loving wife, Eric is survived by a daughter Linda Stangier of Calgary; a son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Judy Stangier of Red Deer; and six grandchildren, Sherri, Jason, Melissa, Nicola, Jordan and Landon. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Sheila; and a sister and brother-in-law, Myrtle and Bill Davidson, all of Red Deer. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Mabel Stangier and a brother Richard. Mr. Peter Paul Lucas
LUCAS – Mr. Peter Paul Lucas of Camrose, formerly of Viking, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the age of 73 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Laurna; children Sandra (Lindsay) Aker of Camrose, John (Diane) of Edmonton, and Jason Lucas of Camrose; five grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica, Hayley, Kjell and Jillian; brother Wally Lucas of Edmonton; and sister Kathy (Ed) Serediak of Edmonton. Peter was predeceased by two brothers John and Mike, and by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 11 a.m. from the Camrose United Church with Rev. Mary Ann Pastuck and Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary’s Hospital Pastoral Care) officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are gratefully accepted to St. Mary’s Hospital Palliative Care or to the St. Mary’s Hospital CT Scanner Fund.
Mrs. Erna Burgess
BURGESS – Mrs. Erna Burgess of Camrose passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the age of 79 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Judy (Dennis) Green of Wetaskiwin; son Rick of Wetaskiwin; four grandchildren Dean (Vicki) Hames, Dianne (Lance) Cherchuk, Tracey (Kalvin) Ekeli and Sarah Green; eight great grandchildren; sisters Eva Olesen and Karen Wiffen. Erna was predeceased by her husband Bob, brother Ernest and sister Edith Pedersen.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 10 at 2 p.m. from the Camrose United Church with Rev. Mary Ann Pastuck officiating. Burial of cremated remains followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the St. Mary’s Hospital CT Scanner Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
