FRENCH
SCOTT FRENCH, born January 16, 1981 and known to family and friends as Scotty, Scotty Boy and Hey French, passed away suddenly on May 24, 2004 at the Emerald Lake area in the Crowsnest Pass, doing what he loved. Camping with friends, four bying anywhere, fixing up old trucks and welding were all of Scott's passions. Though he was only with us a short time, Scotty was a friend to many people. Never short to task, he put all of his efforts into everything he did. Remember him as the carefree, hard working, special person that he was and will always be. Scotty is survived by his parents Larry and Patti French; his sister Tanis French; his maternal grandmother Jennie Nielsen (Glenwood); his paternal grandmother Norma French (Hillspring) and by many friends and family in the Pincher Creek area. A Funeral Service was held at the Pincher Creek Community Hall on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Frank French officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. A Visitation was held at Eden's Funeral Home on Thursday, May 27, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Scott's memory to Pincher Creek Victims Services, c/o Box 1118, Pincher Creek, AB, T0K 1W0 or to a charity of your choice.

ALEXANDER
Our precious baby girl passed away on June 13, 2004 at the Pincher Creek Hospital. MEGAN THERESE ALEXANDER was born into a family of love at 10:33 a.m. on September 30, 2003. She received and gave more love in her eight months of life than some people do in a lifetime. She had an active life at St. Michael's Parish, where all knew and loved her. Her daddy was very proud of his first baby girl and had a very special relationship with her. Her daddy did all he could to be with her every second he was able. And for this he is truly grateful. Megan's mommy took her everywhere she went. She helped her mommy sing at nearly every function she went to, from funerals to community events. Megan spent endless hours playing and watching her brothers at their various activities. Megan's brothers adored her. Every moment of their little lives revolved around their baby sister. For those reasons Megan had a multitude of people in her life who loved her, and she soon became known as the "community's" baby. Untold numbers will remember Megan and mourn her loss.
Megan Therese Alexander is survived by her Mommy and Daddy: Shelly and Michael Alexander and by her three older brothers: Matthew Joseph, Christopher John and Thomas Michael. Megan will always be in their hearts. Megan is also survived by her "Nana and Papa", Lynda and Ervin Miller of Grande Prairie, Alberta; "Grandpa and Grandma Pete", Pete and Terry Alexander of North Vancouver, B.C.; her Great-Grandma Helen Cutler of Wembley, Alberta; her Aunties and Uncles: Tammy (Randy) Charko, Margaret (Dave) Sutherland and Lynn (Andrew) Kemper. Her cousins who are going to miss her so much are: Jacob and Kate-Lyn Charko, Alexander Sutherland, and Joshua and Dylan Kemper. Megan Therese will also be missed by her precious Godparents Joyce and Morris Pittman and their wonderful boys: Adam, Lucas, Andrew and Jared.
From the bottom of our hearts, Shelly, Michael, Matthew, Christopher and Thomas Alexander would like to thank the community of Pincher Creek for the unbelievable outpouring of prayers and support for our family during the most painful and difficult time of our life. The love and compassion has been unbelievable. Megan radiated love, happiness and joy to all that she saw. There was never a happier baby and she freely gave that love and happiness to all who she interacted with and from that sense she was the community’s baby. The sparkle in her bright, big, brown eyes, her infectious smile and her love for life are the reasons she touched so many.
At this difficult time we thank God that Megan touched so many lives. Without the support and prayers of all those who Megan has touched, I am not sure how we would survive. It is because of a strong faith and the prayers and support of so many family, friends, work colleagues, healthcare professionals, the community and even people outside the community, that we can put one foot in front of the other. We thank you all and ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers. We know that through your prayers God will take this terrible tragedy and help us to rise above the pain and agony of the grief. We will keep loving each other and sharing life together because that is not only what God wants, it is what Megan would want too.
Megan's Prayer Vigil was held at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Thursday, June 17, 2004. A Mass of the Angels was held for Megan at St. Michael's Church on Friday, June 18, 2004. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery, Pincher Creek, Alberta. A Memorial Trust Fund in Megan's memory has been set up at the Alberta Treasury Branch, Box 1600, Pincher Creek, AB. T0K 1W0.
The Alexander family is very appreciative to Dr. Rottger, Dr. Brunner and Dr. Jackson for their efforts and help at this difficult time. We also appreciate Dennis and Colin and Eden’s Funeral Home for their care and compassion, especially for the effort they gave to find her beautiful cradle. We know that her soul is with God and Jesus is holding her safe in his arms in Heaven. Thank you Father Eric for all you have done for our family.
