DARRAGH, ELAINE LILY
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our loved one, Elaine Lily Darragh on July 5, 2003. Elaine was born December 16, 1945 to Lila and Henry Petersen in Pincher Creek, Alberta. She spent most of her life in Pincher Creek, but had a few short jaunts to Hays and Orion, Alberta. She married her sweetie Herb Darragh on August 10, 1963 and they were just a month shy of their 40th anniversary. Elaine was one in a million as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She loved camping and life, but her greatest love was her family. Her brightest stars were her grandchildren Brooklynn and Brett Mayer and Kaycee-Jo, Tyson and Taylor Brandics. Elaine’s passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of those who were close to her. She was our angel on earth, and now she’s our angel in heaven. Besides her husband Herb, she is survived by her children Tammy (Mike Mayer), Debbie (Kevin) Brandics and Shawn Darragh (Tammy Jensen), her five "perfect" grandchildren, her mother Lila Petersen of Pincher Creek, two brothers, Gordon (Yvonne) Petersen, Barry (Dixie) Petersen and her sister Peggy (Murray) Brown, and Herb’s family in Quebec. A service honoring Elaine’s life was held on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Pincher Funeral Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Pincher Funeral Chapel.

TUCKER
GRACE ESTELLA TUCKER, of Pincher Creek, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Pincher Creek Hospital, from complications of a broken hip, on Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Ted, in 1998. Grace was a "stay-at-home" mom until her girls were in high school and then she went to work as a bookkeeper for Jackson Bros. Hardware. She was an active member of the Pincher Creek United Church, sang in the choir and belonged to the Women's Group. Grace was an active member of the old Recreation Board when the girls were in high school. Golf took up a lot of time, along with bridge and other card games. Grace was a member of the Rebekah Lodge until ill health forced her to take out her demit. Grace is survived by her daughters: Virginia (Ginny) and Norm Reed of Pincher Creek and Joanne and Walter Momsen and their children Becky and Cody of White Rock, B.C. She is also survived by her nieces Jean (Hank) Kirby of Comox, B.C. and Ardele (Robert) McAuley of Calgary. A Memorial Service was held at the Pincher Creek United Church on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brent Woodard officiating.
