DARRAGH, ELAINE LILY
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our loved one, Elaine Lily Darragh on July 5, 2003. Elaine was born December 16, 1945 to Lila and Henry Petersen in Pincher Creek, Alberta. She spent most of her life in Pincher Creek, but had a few short jaunts to Hays and Orion, Alberta. She married her sweetie Herb Darragh on August 10, 1963 and they were just a month shy of their 40th anniversary. Elaine was one in a million as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She loved camping and life, but her greatest love was her family. Her brightest stars were her grandchildren Brooklynn and Brett Mayer and Kaycee-Jo, Tyson and Taylor Brandics. Elaine’s passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of those who were close to her. She was our angel on earth, and now she’s our angel in heaven. Besides her husband Herb, she is survived by her children Tammy (Mike Mayer), Debbie (Kevin) Brandics and Shawn Darragh (Tammy Jensen), her five "perfect" grandchildren, her mother Lila Petersen of Pincher Creek, two brothers, Gordon (Yvonne) Petersen, Barry (Dixie) Petersen and her sister Peggy (Murray) Brown, and Herb’s family in Quebec. A service honoring Elaine’s life was held on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Pincher Funeral Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Pincher Funeral Chapel.
