It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Gayle McKenzie Findlay on April 3, 2016.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband Jim Findlay, children Kevin (Lori), Alanna (Tim), Kerwin, and Athena (Bruce), eleven grandchildren, Nicole (Rob), Jeanette (Nick), Travis (Ashlyn), Camille (Russell), Nathan (Amanda), Justin, Sean, Brittany (Alfonso), Kylie (Steven), Riplea (James), and Delaney, and sixteen great grandchildren, sisters and brothers, and numerous family and friends.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ray McKenzie, her mother and father, Edith and Bill Belcourt, and her brother Bradley Belcourt.
Gayle loved the Lord, her family and flowers. She was loved by many and will never be forgotten, her willingness to find the good in all made her so special. She would always find a way to make you feel better, no matter what the situation was. She worked tirelessly for the betterment of the less fortunate and had a strong belief that everyone would find peace with the Lord. In 2013, Gayle was recognized by Her Majesty the Queen for her contributions to Canada, receiving the Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Gayle was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend to everyone she met. She was a strong and gentle woman who will be missed by all who knew her. We love you Gramma and will miss you forever.
Memorial service was held on April 9th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Royal Canadian Legion, Edson, Alberta. All were welcomed.
Smith, Adrienne
SMITH, Adrienne Marlene - On April 7, 2006 Adrienne passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the age of 67. Survived by her husband Ed; sons Ray (Joan), David (Michelle); and four grandchildren, Cameron, Graham, Kurtis and Rebecca. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Audrey Parsons; and her brother-in-law, James Irvine. She also leaves two brothers, Alfred (Marlyne) and George (Carol); and one sister, Rosemary Irvine; brother-in-law, Herb (Eunice) Schmidt; and aunt Seena (Jack) Garvey in Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Church, 6215 - 104 Avenue. In lieu of flowers should you choose, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on Ward 30 at the Cross Cancer Institute who took such good care of Adrienne. Evergreen Funeral Chapel, Cemetery, and Cremation Centre.
Urben Berry, of Hanna
Urben Berry passed away suddenly and tragically on the ranch at Stanmore at the age of 50 years.
He was born in the Hanna Hospital on March 1, 1953. He took most of his schooling in Youngstown.
Urben is survived by his wife Theresa (Andrew), children Jim, Justin and Shantelle; brothers Lane (Pam), Orr; sisters, Louise, Jean (Gerald) and Joan. His in-laws Jim and Dorothy Andrew, Greg, Tim (Lois), Blanche (Ray), Cathy (Greg), Chris (Charlene), Beth (Dean), Barb (Peter) and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Urben was predeceased by his parents Breeze (Lane) and Hazel; his siblings Leah and her husband Hugh; and infant twins Ivy and Joan.
Dad was an active and hard working man. If he was not in the oilfield production or construction, he was running our ranch in the Hanna area. A day off for him was going to a rodeo to compete in such events as the Wild Horse Race, Cow Milking or Team Roping. One of his best memories was winning the Calgary Stampede Wild Horse Race in 2002 with his sons.
Urben had a great love of hunting.
He will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral service was held at St. George’s Catholic Church in Hanna at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14th with Father Daniel Stevenot officiating.

Faye Edna Stainthorp
(December 27, 1947 - February 4, 2012)
Faye Edna Stainthorp passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2012, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 64 years.
Faye was born on December 27, 1947 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Faye enjoyed travelling and spent time in many beautiful locations in Canada. She spent most of her life settled in Grande Prairie, Alberta close to family and friends.
Faye loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved children and grandchildren. Faye was known for her positive outlook and kind and caring words. She enjoyed the outdoors and often spent time gardening and going for walks. Faye was always up for a cup of tea and a chat. She was a faithful woman and the Lord was of great importance to her. This was evident in the caring and compassionate way she had with all those she met.
Faye is survived by her children Rob (Crystal) of Edmonton, Alberta, Chris (Michele) of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Tanya (Kevin) of Grande Prairie, Alberta; her grandchildren Kyle, Tannaiya and Devyn; sisters Judy, Cindy, Val and brother Roy.
Faye was predeceased by her parents Walter and Doreen Kerr.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:00am at Oliver’s Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel.
Miriam Yvonne Gustafson
(November 20, 1952 - February 14, 2012)
M. Yvonne Gustafson, resident of Bezanson, and beloved wife of Oswald, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the age of 59 years.
Not to be forgotten, Yvonne will be remembered by her numerous family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00pm at Oliver’s Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel.

Fern Letha (Greenman) Tolonen
TOLONEN, Fern Letha (Greenman) - On September 11, 2017, Fern Letha Tolonen (Greenman) of Edmonton, formerly of Fort Saskatchewan, and Eckville, AB, passed away at the age of 94 years. Fern is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Paula (Morley) Hagan, and Linda (Marc) Frey; son-in-law Lee Speer; nine grandchildren, Andrea (Darcy), Greg, Adrian (Cait), Michelle (Scot), Dani (Dale), Jesse (Shannan), Jenica, Murray (Heather), and Sarah; twelve great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Eden, Elaine, Simon, Fern, Rachael, Brienne, Sevryn, Jackson, Graham, Samuel, and Finnian; three sisters, Dora, Phyllis, and Joyce; two brothers, Gordon (Ruth), and Glenn (Jeannie); and two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Ted) and Doris. She was predeceased by her husband P.W. Slim Tolonen; daughter Elaine Speer; parents Alvin and Belle Greenman; and five sisters, Ethelyn, Myrtle, Lucille, Ruth, and Audrey. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6, at First United Church, 10409 100 AV, Fort Saskatchewan., AB, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.1
