It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl (Bud) Hanlon, on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 at his residence at the age of 81 years.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Betty; his son Joe; his daughters, Carol, Marie (Everett), and Terri (George); as well as his stepson Donny; stepdaughter Sandra (Sandy) and his brother Ken. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends as well as his beloved dog Turbo.
Carl was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Emma; his daughter Janice; daughter-in-law Sharon and his brother Dan.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Monday, May 23rd, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Foothills Memorial Chapel, 5040-6th Avenue, Edson, Alberta.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985-124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5M 0H9 in memory of Carl William Hanlon.
Dennis William Wolfe
(July 16, 1963 - May 22, 2011)
Dennis William Wolfe died suddenly on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the age of 47 near Hythe, Alberta, doing what he loved.
Dennis was born in Berwyn, Alberta and grew up on a farm south of Whitelaw, Alberta. After graduating from high school, Dennis began his oilfield career in Grande Prairie. Dennis owned and operated his own businesses for the past twenty years.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Tazmalee, sons, Graydon and Cole; daughter, Megan; granddaughter, Jazmin; and her mother, April; all of whom are from Grande Prairie, Alberta. His mother, Margaret Wolfe of Fairview, Alberta; sister, Marlene Maxwell (Allen) of Cherry Point, Alberta; brother, Norman Wolfe (Debbie) of Cochrane, Alberta; one nephew, three nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father George in 2006 and an infant brother William George in 1956.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 12:00pm at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kev’s Kids in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Hilda Wilhelmina Johnson
JOHNSON, Hilda Wilhelmina - (October 16, 1926 - September 22, 2017) Hilda Wilhelmina Johnson of Fort Saskatchewan, formerly of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jarvin; daughters Deborah (Duane) Lawrence, Colleen (Chris) Andersen, and Shelly (Rick) Crookes; five granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and sister Josephine Klein. Hilda was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Frank; sisters Leona, Mary, and Theresia. A Funeral Service was held at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. MaryAnn Pastuck officiating. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance or to the charity of one's choice. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved baby Miles.
Miles is survived by his loving parents Brent and Leanne of Carrot Creek, Alberta, His maternal grandparents John and Jeanette Van Meetelen of Edmonton, Alberta, His paternal grandparents Ron and Janet De Leeuw of Carrot Creek, Alberta, maternal great grandparents John and Femmie Depee of Edson, Alberta and paternal great grandmother Elizabeth De Leeuw of Edmonton, Alberta.
Also surviving are his aunts and uncles: Vernanda (Mark) Buwalda and family of Rimbey, Alberta, Julie (Zane) Davis and family of Hattonford, Alberta, Darryl (Cindy) De Leeuw and family of Niton, Alberta, Dwayne Van Meetelen and Jodie Van Meetelen, both of Edmonton, Alberta as well as numerous other relatives.
Miles was predeceased by his great grandfather John De Leeuw in 1985, Margaret Van Meetelen in 1996, John Van Meetelen in 1997, Theresa Van Wieren in 2008 and Donald Van Meetelen in 1986.
A graveside service was held at the Carrot Creek Cemetery on Monday, June 28th, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paul Van Stralen officiating.

Adele Eleanor Vobeyda
(October 21, 1939 - May 21, 2011)
Vobeyda, Adele Eleanor (Nee Woywitka), late of Barrhead, formerly of Topland, passed away on May 21, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 71 years with sons Kevin & Dennis by her side. Eleanor loved her family and always had time to help a friend in need. Eleanor was a devoted wife, special mother, adoring grandmother, musician, artist and avid gardener. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more.
Eleanor is survived by her loving family; sons Kevin and Dennis; grandchildren Morgan and Robyn; 2 sisters, Shirley (Gary) Hills, and Beverly Kostiw; and many close family and friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband and best friend of 39 years, Jim; parents, Fred and Annie; and her brother-in-law, Raymond Kostiw.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Topland Community Hall (located between Goose Lake and Fort Assiniboine). Interment will follow in the Topland Cemetery.
