It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandad and great grandad, Gary Burn Conger of Robb, Alberta on June 18th, 2016.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are: Margaret, his loving wife of 54 years, his children; Gary (Rae), Robert and Donna, his grandchildren Brian (Angela), Chad (Toni), Shawn (Kasi), Darren, Ashley and Alec and his great granddaughter Jaime.
Gary was predeceased by his father Burn, his mother Irene, his sister Gail and his precious granddaughter Jamie.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Royal Canadian legion in Edson, Alberta with Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Robb Coal Branch Cemetery, PO Box 57, Robb, Alberta, T0E 1X0 in memory of Gary Burn Conger.
Ruth Head
(January 4, 1942 - May 15, 2011)
Ruth Head (nee Clark, Bielecki), longtime resident of Grande Prairie, passed away in Grande Prairie on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the age of 69 years.
Ruth was born in Blueberry Mountain on January 7, 1942. She was a lifelong resident of the Peace Country, having lived in Grande Prairie for over 50 years. She married George Clark in 1962 and from that marriage produced three children, Darron, Shaun and Rhonda. She married Les Head in 2000. Ruth worked as an LPN at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie for over 20 years, performing her duties as a labor of love. All of those who were in her care could count themselves lucky to have Ruth at their bedside.
She will be sadly missed by sons Darron Clark (April) and Shaun Clark; daughter Rhonda Clark (Kevin Bonise); grandchildren Alex, Cassie, Lindsay, Mitchell and Marcus; brother Walter; and sister Ann.
She was predeceased by parents Procher and Antonina Bielecki; brothers Bill and John; and sisters Mary and Rose.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2:00pm at Oliver’s Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel with refreshments to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the QEII Hospital Foundation.
Alf Elof Farnquist
July 22, 1930 - September 13, 2012
Alf Farnquist, longtime resident of Grande Prairie, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, at the age of 82 years.
Alf was born on July 22, 1930 in Galahad, Alberta. He moved to Beaverlodge in 1952 with his parents and took up farming. He worked for Foster's Seed and Feed for 34 years. In 1971, Alf moved to Grande Prairie to manage the seed plant for Foster's Seed and Feed. His hobbies were restoring old cars and refinishing antique furniture. In 2010, he suffered a stroke and was a resident at the Gardens before moving to Points West when it first opened.
He will be sadly missed by his brother Ed (Ann) Farnquist of Valleyview, his sister Elsie (Allan) Lock of Beaverlodge, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Christina Farnquist, his infant brother Lars Eldon Farnquist, brother Elmer Farnquist, sister-in-law Mary Farnquist, great-niece Sheena Farnquist, and nephew Wayne Farnquist.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 17 from 7:00 - 9:00pm at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Christ Community Church in Grande Prairie (10106-112 Avenue). Interment will be at the Beaverlodge Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
TRYDAL, PHYLLIS
On June 23rd, 2010, Phyllis Trydal, long-time Edson resident passed away at home with her family by her side. Phyllis was 92 years old.
She is survived by her loving family, son Edwin and wife Colleen Trydal and family of Edson, Alberta, daughter Frances Miller and family of Edson, Alberta, son Roy and wife Elvira Trydal and family of Drayton Valley, Alberta, daughter Darlene Mole and family of Edson, Alberta and son Randy and wife Cathy Trydal and family of Evansburg, Alberta. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband John in 1988, her daughter Marion in 1959, son–in-law Doug Miller in 1988 and son – in – law Doug Mole in 2009, and grandson Timothy Wilflingsider.
She was also predeceased by her siblings, Pansy Worbecki, Lee Roy, Art, Paul and Murray Holman.
Cremation has taken place in The Foothills Crematorium, and a memorial service will take place later.

ANDERSON, Jean Grey (Jean Christensen)
On April 6, 2006, Jean Grey Anderson (Christensen) of Edmonton passed away at the age of 94 years. Jean will be sadly missed and remembered by her daughter, Ruth Grundberg; grandchildren, Erica (Brian) Kam, Carl Grundberg, Ian McCormick; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Carl Christensen in 1966; eldest daughter, Lois in 1991; her second husband, Dr. Walter Anderson in 2000; and her sister, Beatrice in 2004.
