LEUF -- Jonas (Bert) Leuf passed away peacefully at the Three Hills Health Care Centre on November 27, 1997, at the age of 93 years. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 1997 from the Manor Gospel Church (east of Three Hills) at 2:00 p.m. MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL CHAPELS, Three Hills, entrusted with arrangements. MARYSIUK -- Mrs. Katherine Marysiuk of Father Lacombe Nursing Home passed away on November 26, 1997 at the age of 93 years, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Anne and Ernie Kuefler, Olga and Jere MacFarlane, and Allan and Linda Marysiuk. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Vodie Marysiuk; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her brother Julian Roczkowski and family of Edmonton. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Peter, September 28, 1986 and her son Edward (Ed), December 8, 1996. Mrs. Marysiuk was born in the Ukraine and came to Canada in 1927 and has resided in Calgary since 1973. Special thanks to Dr. S. Cooper, care giver Jean and the wonderful caring Sisters and staff of the Father Lacombe Nursing Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen's Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 - 45 Street S.W.) today, November 29, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rendall Yackimec, Celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Reception to follow Graveside Service at LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOME (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.). MONTGOMERY -- Mrs. Margaret Thomas Montgomery (nee Laing), passed away peacefully at the Consort Extended Care Facility, on Thursday, November 27, 1997 at the age of 82 years. Margaret was born on April 6, 1915 near Blackfalds. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Herbert; her two daughters, Carol Montgomery of Calgary, and Jean and her husband Eric Mayes of Victoria, B.C.; and her two grandchildren, Kevin and Kory Mayes. She is also survived by Jerry and Heather Popoff and their family of Calgary, and David and Connie Laing and their family of Edmonton. Margaret went peacefully to be with her Lord and joins her sister Jean Laing, and her brother The Reverend William Laing; as well as the others who have predeceased her. Funeral Services will be held at the Bethany Baptist Church, 3901 - 44 Street, Red Deer, on Monday, December 1, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend James Sinclair and Pastor Dennis Burriss officiating. SOROFF -- Julia Stefania was taken away suddenly on Monday, November 24, 1997 at Cranbrook, British Columbia at the age of 66 years. TURANSKI -- Robert (Bob) William Patrick Turanski, beloved spouse of Timothy Hunt of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on November 25, 1997 at the age of 41 years. He was born in Vernon, B.C., July 3, 1956. Bob was a hair stylist and employed by Francesco's Hair Design in Chinook Centre. He is also survived by his parents, Bill and Terry of Vernon, B.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Willy and Susan of Kamloops, B.C.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Trish and Gerald Ertmoed, and Tanny and Roy Maxson, all of Vernon, B.C.; three nieces, Amanda, Sara and Michelle; three nephews, Matthew, Andrew and Ryan; grandmother Rose Blair and her husband Wilf of Vernon, B.C.; and numerous other relatives. Bob is also survived by Timothy's parents, Joyce and Bill Hunt, his brother Darrion and his sister Rayna, all of Calgary. VANGILS -- Mr. Andrew Theodor (Andy) VanGils, beloved husband of Patti Macaulay of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Thursday, November 27, 1997, after a motor vehicle accident, at the age of 42 years. Andy was born on January 7, 1955 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He moved to Alberta and was married on December 30, 1990. Andy had a great love for life and an unwielding determination. Besides his loving wife, Andy is survived by his daughter Nikki Frances; and his son Ian Alexander. He is also survived by his parents, Matt and Woutrina VanGils; three sisters, two brothers, three nephews and six nieces. VEILLEUX -- Jessica Marie Veilleux, beloved daughter of Charles Veilleux of Calgary and Harbhagen Veilleux of Victoria, B.C., passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 27, 1997 at the age of 20 years. Jessica loved life. She enjoyed snowboarding and was starting an exciting new job. She adored her cat Gucci and her dog Finnigan, who will sadly miss her. Besides her loving parents, Jessica is survived by her sister Danielle; her very special friend Dave Phillipson; paternal grandparents, Charles and Patricia Veilleux; aunts and uncles, Joanna and Larry Hopp of Calgary, Caren and John Leslie of Armena, AB, Tim and Lisa Veilleux, and Tom and Wendy Veilleux, all of Calgary. She is also survived by maternal grandmother Bhagwant Dheensaw; aunts and uncles, Gurcharn and Robert Beckett, Joga and Juswinder Dheensaw, and Kerpal Reid; as well as many great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. ANDERSON -- Bjarne (Barney) Arthur Anderson, beloved husband of Thelma, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on November 28, 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79 years. Barney was born September 2, 1918 and has resided in Calgary for the past fifty-two years. He was employed with Trotter and Morton for thirty-eight years, retiring in September 1983. Barney will be greatly missed by his loving wife Thelma; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Gordon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Shelley, Jim and Anita; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Vi; a sister and brother-in-law, Vina and Bill; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. BULMER -- Barbara Estelle Bulmer. Friday, November 28, 1997, the family of John Patrick Bulmer lost a very beautiful person. Barbara, a loving wife and devoted mother, finally ended her long struggle with emphysema. She was greatly loved and the happy memories of this sweet lady will remain in our hearts forever.
