ADAMS -- Joseph Cecil. Cec is at peace.
He was born on December 18, 1914 at Glenboro, Manitoba and died on November 24, 1997 at Calgary.
Grandpa's memory will be cherished by his daughter Bev; his son Brad; daughter-in-law Anni; and special grandchildren, Leah and Grayson, all of Calgary.
He was predeceased by his beloved Gwen.
He will be missed by Gwen's sisters and brothers and their families, by his sister Nancy, and sister-in-law Vonda, and their families and many friends.
Cec found adventure in the Royal Canadian Navy in World War II.
After the war, he found love in Winnipeg, married and moved to Calgary.
For forty-eight years, Cec and Gwen welcomed family and friends to their home with the manicured lawn and the fragrant lilac bushes.
Cec worked as a planer at Cushing Mills and as a caretaker at McKay Road Elementary and TB Riley Jr. High.
He enjoyed his retirement, especially walking, camping, watching baseball and winning at crib.
A gifted woodworker, he was especially proud of the recycled-wood trays and hockey stick cutting boards that he made.
Above all, Cec enjoyed his family.
We will remember him dressed jauntily in his Panama hat, red shirt and bolo tie. Goodnight, dear Grandpa; the Lord bless you and keep you.
