On Monday, October 13, 2003 Mrs. Delores MacKenzie of Drayton Valley passed away suddenly at the age of 70 years.
She will be sadly missed but forever treasured in the memories of her loving family; husband Dan; two daughters, Ronda MacKenzie and Kallie Price of Edmonton; precious granddaughters, Kortney and Breanne Price; her brother, Gerry (Anette) Holtner of Edmonton; two sisters, Val Adamson of Edmonton, and Kay Rasmussen of New Norway; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Service of Remembrance was held at Drayton Valley Emmaus Lutheran Church on Saturday, Oct 18, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Quinn Adams officiating.

Frank Mather
MATHER, Frank - September 5, 1918 - June 24, 2011 - Born in Mansfield, England, Frank was the fourth child of ten in the family of Arthur and Florence Mather. He married Jenny Fairweather of Longforgan, Scotland on June 12, 1943 and remained devoted to her until her death in 1991. They moved to Canada in 1954 where he taught in a one-room school at Partridge Hill, Alberta. He was a teacher and principal in several schools in the Fort Saskatchewan area until moving to Duncan, British Columbia in 1965 where he continued his teaching career until he retired in 1983. He managed to persuade many of his "Fort friends" to move to the coast and they became a close-knit community. Frank had a passion for learning and travel. He roamed from Terra del Fuego to the Taj Mahal, Montreal to Moscow with many stops in between and loved to recount his many adventures. His grandchildren Alissa (Zac), Brendan, Shannon, Ryan and Lindsay and his great-granddaughter Karys were his real pride. They will miss him greatly. He is also survived by his older brother Arthur, sisters Jean Surguy and Doris Bartlett, numerous nieces and nephews, his dear companion, Nan, and his son, Brian (Sue) of Courtenay. Thanks to the second floor staff at Cowichan District Hospital for taking good care of him, to Sandra for her words of comfort and to Karen Winterburn for her support and devotion. ROWE, Dorothy Marie 1951 - 2010 Dorothy passed suddenly on Friday, August 20, 2010. She will be sadly missed by daughter Michaelle Rowe; son, Scott Rowe, grandchildren: Noah and Ethan; sisters: Barb (Buzz) Beier and Patricia (Harold) Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents Rita and Edward, brother Sandy, sister Lorraine and son Jeremy. Margaret Hazen
HAZEN, Margaret Jeannie (nee Harris) Jeannie Hazen passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice on August 23, 2010 after a heroic battle with ovarian cancer. Jeannie was born in Delisle, Saskatchewan on January 10, 1950. She grew up in Laura, Saskatchewan with her mother Elva Harris, three brothers Bill, Jim and Murray Harris, and a special couple Adeline and Hubert Thomson. The family ran the switchboard office in Laura and moved to Saskatoon in 1965 when the crank phones became obsolete. Jeannie lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba for seven years and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1976. Jeannie was employed by Husky Oil Operations Limited since December 1976. Jeannie's greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She loved her Lord and Saviour and is now resting in His peace. Jeannie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dallas, daughter Michelle Matiation, (Devin Allibone), and grandchildren Caleb and Samantha. She will be dearly missed by her stepdaughter Camile Lucier, brothers Bill (Marge) Harris, Murray (Suzanne) Harris, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and special friend Mervin (Barb) Matiation. She will also be missed by friends from Husky Oil Ltd., Emmanuel Community Church, Centre Street Church and Christian Motorcycle Association. Jeannie was predeceased by her son Mark Czarnecki; mother Elva Harris; brother Jim Harris; sisters, Evelyn and Diane and special couple Adeline and Hubert Thomson. Hazel I CHRISTIANSON
CHRISTIANSON, Hazel I - Hazel Irene Christianson, 86, of Ingersoll passed away at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Sunday, August 22, 2010. She was born in Ekfrid Township, Middlesex County on November 4, 1923 a daughter of the late John Archibald Tuffin and the former Barbara Ann Welch. Hazel is survived by one son, Jack and wife Sheila Christianson of Putnam; two daughters, Karen and husband Bev Prest of Centralia, seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Ron Tuffin of Cheybogan, Michigan; Ray and wife Marg Tuffin of Strathroy. She was predeceased by her husband Tilmon Helmer "Tim" Christianson on November 7, 2006; her sister and brother-in-law, Marg and Donald Showler and her sister-in-law, Peggy Tuffin. There will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Ossian Terrace, Ingersoll on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. Robert Heald will officiate. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ingersoll Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated and may be made through the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME, Tavistock.
