Brian Somers
November 23, 1942 - December 23, 2009
A cheerful smile,
A heart of gold.
One of the very best
The world could hold.
It is with a great deal of sadness and a heart full of wonderful memories, that I share the loss of my beloved husband, Brian on December 23, 2009, after a very courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Brian passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.
Brian leaves to mourn, his devoted wife Norma; his sister Marlene Torgerson (John); brother Neil Somers; niece Joanne Dahl; nephew Rick Dahl (Donna); great nephew Evan Dahl; sister-in-law Lynda Premachuk; and brother-in-law Tony Hruschak. He was predeceased by his parents Vi and Evan Somers; great nephew Aaron Dahl; brother-in-law Herman Premachuk; and in-laws Elsie and Andrew Hruschak.
He was probably best known for his friendships, kindness and sense of humor. He could always be counted on to provide a one-liner for just about any situation. He was adventurous, steady, patient, gentle and a strong man that lived life to the fullest. He touched many lives and will always be remembered for his fun loving character.
A celebration of life will be held at Weber's Funeral Chapel, #2 Mount Pleasant Drive, Camrose, AB at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
