Roberta Olive Phillips (nee Dunn)
Widow of Ben Tiedemann, Vincent Bates, and Neil Phillips.
On Nov. 18, Roberta passed away peacefully in the Tofield Hospital. She is survived by 3 sons, Keith and Michelle Tiedemann, Derek and Lynn Tiedemann, and Lane and Sharon Tiedemann; 6 Grandchildren Dianne Donnan, Ann Warkentin, Joanne Maki, Janet Nash, Keri Cadeau, and Chad Tiedemann; 9 Great Grandchildren; Step-daughters Barbara Conquest, Sandra Warenchuk and families; 4 sisters in law; and Laurie Weathrill as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 1 son Kent and 1 great grandson Mark, her parents Albert and Edna Dunn, brothers Frank, Allan, Evan and John and 1 sister Mary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Bardo Lutheran Church, 4737 - 57 Ave., Tofield, AB on Tuesday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment at the Tofield Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Dennis Mottershead
Date: November 14th, 2009
Dennis was born November 11, 1936 in his home country of England. He passed away suddenly as the result of a car accident on November 14, 2009.
He was educated at his beloved Ellesmere College then forged a career in the automotive industry. The happiest day of his life was the one on which he married his wife Judith; followed closely by the birth of his children Melanie and Richard and his grandchildren Ryan, Scott and Mikayla. In the early 70's Dennis and Judith moved their family to Canada and enjoyed a life in and around Sherwood Park and Tofield. His passion was his family, his animals, friends and cars.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Judith, daughter Melanie(Michael), son Richard(Lisa), and grandchildren Ryan, Scott and Mikayla, mother-in-law Mrs. Gladys Neatherway.
Dennis was predeceased by both his parents and his father-in-law.
A funeral service will be held at the Tofield Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.
Barbara Harrison
1933 - 2009
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mom, nana, great nana, and great great nana.
She passed away quickly and unexpectedly on November 14, 2009 at the age of 76 years.
She is survived by her brothers Dell Harrison and Harry (Kay) Harrison. She will forever be remembered by her children: Lynn (Rennie) Jensen, Harry (Joan) Harbak, Doug (Leah) Harbak, and Brad (Nikki) Harrison. She will also be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, close friends and members of the Tofield United Church.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2009 from the Tofield United Church with Rev. Natasha Pearen presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Tofield United Church.
Margot McEwan
Date: November 11th, 2009
Margot McEwan of Armena passed away at the age of 59 years.
She is survived by her two sons Wade (Penny) and Cory, one daughter Dana (Cory) Swanek, three grandchildren Wesley, Jamie, and Justin, and one sister Joy Davies.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
Levina Ann Johnson
1915 - 2009
On Tuesday, November 10th, Levina Ann Johnson of Camrose passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years. She was born to Clarence and Christina Simonson in Kingman on August 5th, 1915, the third of seven children. Her married life was spent in Gwynne, Kingman and Camrose.
Levina was many things to the many people in her life - Mom, Grandma, Nana, Great-Grandma, Aunty and Friend. She touched countless lives wherever she went. She was loving and caring, dedicated to her family.
Mom, we thank you for your knowledge of life and the love we shared. You have left us a long life of memories and you shall live on in our hearts - we will miss you.
Levina will be sadly missed by her children, Shari (Don) Smith, Dan (Darlene) Astner, Marj (Bob) Walde and Bob (Lynn) Johnson, grandchildren Shayne, Candice, Nadine, Kevin, Julie and Mark, and 16 great-grandchildren. Levina is also survived by 2 sisters, Marina Johnson and Adeline Campbell.
A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
