Gladys Sehn

Gladys Sehn was born at Limerick, Saskatchewan on April 7, 1943; she passed away on August 19, 2009 in Camrose, Alberta at the age of 66 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Leonard Sehn; one stepson Melvin (JoAnne, Charles, Cile), two stepdaughters Carolyn (Menno, Candace, Jennifer, Jayden, Houstyn), and Rita (Sam, Ty, Sara); three brothers Mike Kostick, Gordon Kostick, and Lesley Kostick; four sisters Marie George, Vera Kinnee, Helen Whitford, and Pearl Kostick; three sisters-in-law Mary Kostick, Lillian Kostick and Margret Kostick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys was predeceased by her parents Edward and Daisy Kostick and two brothers William and Ed Kostick.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Webers Mount Pleasant Chapel in Camrose, Alberta. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Viola Taylor

A memorial service will be held at the Tofield Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009.

Our dearly beloved mother passed away peacefully surrounded by her three daughters on August 16, 2009. She will be sorrowfully missed by daughters Susan Kitto (Pat), Judy Godlonton, Cheryl Mauro (Jim), her one brother Gerald Williams of Saskatoon, and the shining loves of her life seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In respecting mom's wishes there will be no funeral service at this time. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. Those wishing to do so may make donations in her memory to the SPCA, St. Mary's Chapel Fund or the Alzheimer Society.
Dwayne Fairbrother

Reginald Dwayne Fairbrother was born on August 27th 1965 in Tofield. He lived in the Tofield area until he bought a farm at Mundare where he lived until his passing.
He enjoyed the outdoors, flowers, his horses, hunting & mountain trips. His daughter Kathleen shared in his love of horses.
He leaves to mourn his parents Reg & Grace; one daughter Kathleen; one brother Trevor (Tracy); one sister Colleen (Kaare); nieces Ashley, Stephanie, Samantha and Shantel; nephews Ryan, Jessie, Dallas and Kevin; and numerous relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., at Bardo Lutheran Church, 4737 - 57 Ave, Tofield, AB. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
John Prast

John Prast of Tofield, passed away on August 5, 2009 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his loving wife Ellen; one daughter Teresa (Todd) Hafso; two granddaughters Paige and Alyssa; one sister Renate Scheifele and cherished nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Bardo Lutheran Church in Tofield, Alberta. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Tofield Anglican Church or the Arthritis Society.
Mary Badry

Mary Ann Badry of Camrose, Alberta passed away on October 4, 2009 at the age of 93 years.
She is survived by fourteen children, Marlene, Ron (Peggy), Jack, Donna, Paul (Mona), Ralph, David (Penny), Dan (Sandy), Theresa (Darryl), Linda (Dwayne), Mary Lou (Brent), Keith (Jacquie), Margaret Ann and Joanne; 30 grandchildren; 43 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Norbert, five sisters, one brother, and one son-in-law. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel, Camrose. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Camrose. Interment will follow at the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the C.A.F.C.L. or the charity of one's choice. Weber Funeral Home, Camrose.
Jeanne Maureen MacIntyre
51, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Word has been received by the family, of the passing of Jeanne Maureen MacIntyre, Fort McMurray, Alta., formerly of Elmbank Avenue, Sydney, on Wednesday, May 3, 2000, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Gertie (Parago) MacIntyre, Sydney and the late Leo MacIntyre.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Dennis, at home, and Alan (Addie), Roxboro, Quebec.
Until her illness in 1998, she was Native and International Education co-ordinator of Keyano College, Fort McMurray Campus where she was honoured in the fall with the Distinguished Services Award. Previously, she had spent eight years as administrator at the Fort Chipewyan Campus. Jeanne was instrumental in establishing the Fort Chipewyan Campus and was its first administrator. Her services and dedication were honoured in May, 1999 when the resource centre at the Fort Chipewyan Campus was renamed the Jeanne MacIntyre Library.
A memorial service will be held May 6, 2000 in Fort McMurray, and later on May 15, 2000 in Fort Chipewyan.
A memorial mass will be celebrated in Sydney at a later date.
