MARSHALL, Dale Frank
Dale Frank Marshall passed away peacefully in the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 25th, 2008. Dale was born in Lloydminster, Sask., April 5th, 1923.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beth Marshall (nee Pettigrew), his daughter Linda and husband Richard Lutz, grandchildren, Grant (Theresa), Brian (Charmaine), Karin (Marc), great grandchildren, Brooke, Kai, and Trey. Dale is also survived by his four brothers, Paul (Corrine), Dean ( Pearl ), Dennis (Lillian), and Rex (Karin), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bob in July 2007.
Dale’s working career was with the CNR for over 40 years out of Edson and Edmonton .
His passion in life was his love of music and sound. His production of sound with nature films led to recognition in, the, and abroad.
Funeral services for Dale Marshall will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at 3:00 pm, at the Foothills Memorial Chapel in Edson Alberta. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
Edson Funeral Home Ltd. entrusted with arrangements.

ZAJIC, Tannis May
We regret to announce the passing of Tannis May Zajic, beloved wife of Clem Zajic, on March 24th, 2016 at the age of 67 years in Edson, Alberta.
Besides her loving husband of 49 years, Clem, Tannis is survived by her sons; Tyler (Christina) Zajic of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kurtis Zajic of Edson, Alberta.
Tannis is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Tanniis was predeceased by her son Sean Spencer Zajic in 1971 as well as her parents.
Following cremation, a “Celebration of Life” service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of other tributes, the family suggests donations be directed to the Alberta Lung Association, PO Box 4500. Station South, Edmonton, Alberta, T6A 6K2 in memory of Tannis May Zajic.

Desmond, Arlene
DESMOND, Arlene 1940 - 2006 Beloved wife, mother and sister passed away April 7, 2006 at her home in Edmonton, with her family at her side. She was born in Winnipeg and was raised and educated in Cypress River, Manitoba. She became a teacher in 1958, and in 35 years of teaching she influenced many young lives, particularly when she taught children with learning disabilities. She is survived by her husband Joe of 42 years; her daughter Darla of Portland, Oregon; her sister Joanne McFadden of Winnipeg and her brother Gerald Roper of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; as well as several nieces and nephews. Arlene's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the health care professionals who helped her in her courageous 24 year battle with cancer. At her request, there will be no formal funeral service and cremation has taken place. If family and friends so desire, in lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2.

BARON, Darrel Walter
On March 26th, 2016, Darrel Walter Baron of Edson, Alberta passed away at the age of 54 years.
Darrel is survived by his mother Audrey Baron; daughter Stacy and his granddaughter Sarah; step daughter Francisca and his step grandchildren: Thomas, Dana and Kaleb.
He is also survived by his brother Jared Baron and fiancée Helen; nephews Jerry and Marcus and niece Bryanna; as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Darrel was predeceased by his father Lawrence Baron in May of 1999.
Following cremation, a graveside service was held on Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at 1:00 PM in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.

TREMBLAY, Serinda Dee
On April 3rd, 2016, Serinda Dee Tremblay of Edson, Alberta passed away at the age of 50 years.
Serinda is survived by her two sons Dylan and Dakota as well as her mother Rita Tremblay of Edson, Alberta; her sisters Melissa (Trevor) Butz and their children Tyra, Tia, Teagan and Tyana all of North Battleford, Saskatchewan and Melanie Tremblay and her children Cody and Caydance all of Edmonton, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives including, great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends surviving as well.
Serinda was predeceased by her father John Harpe as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Friday, April 8th, 2016 at 1:30 PM in Foothills Memorial Chapel, 5040-6th Avenue, Edson, Alberta, with Pastor Gerorge Stone presiding.
In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 700-10665 Jasper Ave., Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 3S9 in memory of Serinda Dee Tremblay.

Olga Livingstone
Alberta
Olga Livingstone, a Cape Bretoner, passed away Jan. 20, 2000, in her 90th year at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. She was the devoted wife of Robert G. Livingstone, a member of Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), deceased in 1981.
Olga is survived by her three children Roberta (Murray) Thompson of Ottawa, Ont., Charles (Maxine) of Regina, Sask. and Lloyd Roland (Joy) of Edmonton; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Olga was the youngest child of Gustave and Anna (nee Bartz) Schroder.
Predeceased by brothers Gussie (Addie) and Rudy; sisters Amanda Petrie and Amelia Passerini Gregor and grandchild Pamela Livingstone. Olga was an active basketball and baseball player in her early years and remained an avid sports fan all her life. She was a championship card player, excelling in cribbage and she attained maximum master points in contract bridge. Her trophies for bowling were surpassed by prizes and trophies in duplicate and contract bridge. In her later years, swimming became her foremost daily activity.
Father George LaGrange, OMI will be officiating the funeral service Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. in the St. Albert Catholic Church (7 St. Vital Ave.) with interment to follow in the church cemetery. We will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to McConnell Place North (Alzheimer Center), Edmonton, Alberta.

Donald Joseph MacIntyre
Calgary, Alta

Donnie was a very special person whose extraordinary intelligence and sense of humor are now part of our hearts, our souls and our spirits forever.
On Jan. 10, 2000, Mr. Donald Joseph MacIntyre passed away suddenly in Calgary, Alta., at the age of 59 years.
Donnie was born on May 9, 1940, in Leitches Creek, Cape Breton. He graduated from Guelph University, Ont. and pursued a career as an agricultural representative in Nova Scotia and British Columbia. Upon returning to Cape Breton he held the position of director of Alcoholics Anonymous in Monastery, N.S. and worked at the Talbot House, Frenchvale.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his siblings and many nieces and nephews, Alberta MacIntyre, Gregory MacLean, Marie and John Delarge, Sarah Murphy, Shellie, Michael, Willie and Isabella Gudgeon, Colleen, Sarah Rose and Patricia Garner, Michael and Shawn Murphy, all of Victoria, B.C., Tevis, Phil, Ailish and Conrad Spencer of Qualicum Beach, B.C., Lorne, Susan, Devin and Allie Delarge of Saanich, B.C., Lawrence MacLean of Los Angeles, Calif., Catherine, John, Ryan and Scott Nabozniak of Edmonton, Alta, Corinne, Milind, Tara, Aron, Devan and Anisha Joshi of St. Albert, Alta., Rose Marie, Adrian, Jennifer and Kimberly MacKinnon, Shannon, Ken, Samantha and Dakota Roberts of Drayton Valley, Alta., Norman, Hector and Tyler MacIntyre of Olds, Alta., Angus, Roseanne, Kyle and Christian MacLean of Mississauga, Ont., Peggy Steele and Angus MacIntyre of Niagara Falls, Ont., Cecilia MacIntyre, Sydney, Elizabeth, Dave and Donna Bethune, Upper Leitches Creek, Frankie, Anne Marie and Todd Hurley of Alder Point, and his loving aunt, Sister Rose Carmel, Bethany, Antigonish, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Hector and Margaret, grandparents and his beloved brother, Angus.
Memorial services will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Edmonton, with Fr. Martin Carroll officiating. His remains will be transported to Sydney, C.B. where funeral services will be held at his parish, St. Mary’s Church, Frenchvale with Fr. P. Abbass and Fr. J. Webb officiating. Funeral service is under the direction of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel and will be announced later.
